Pyoderma gangrenosum （PG） is a rare, noninfectious neutrophilic dermatosis. Clinically, it begins with sterile pustules that rapidly progress into painful ulcers of variable depth and size with undermined violaceous borders. The diagnosis of PG is based on the history of an underlying disease, a typical clinical presentation, histopathology, and exclusion of other diseases. The peak incidence occurs between the ages of 20 to 50 years with women being more often affected than men. There have been very few reports of pyoderma gangrenosum with oral mucosal involvement. Oral lesions in previously reported cases have included ulcers of varying sizes from a few mm to several cm and have been reported to have been found on the tongue, soft and hard palate, buccal mucosa, and gingiva. Some of these oral lesions have been associated with ulcerative colitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and polycythemia rubra vera. A few cases were reported with biopsy findings, the histological picture being nonspecific, showing ulceration, and necrosis with inflam- matory cell infiltrate. A peculiar case of pyoderma gan- grenosum with an oral lesion is presented here, and the differential diagnosis is discussed.

Experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of impeller geometry and tongue shape on the flow field of cross flow *** impellers(Ⅰ，Ⅱ，Ⅲ）having same outer diameter,but different radius ratio and blade angles were employed for the *** impeller was tested with two tongue *** survey was carried out for each impeller and tongue shape at two flow *** for each flow coefficient at different circumferential *** flow is two-dimensional along the blade span except near the *** total pressure developed by the impellers in each case is found to be maximum at a circumferential position of around 270°.The total and static pressures at the inlet of impellers are more or less same regardless of impeller and tongue geometry,but they vary considerably at exit of the *** Ⅲ with tongue T2 develops higher total pressure and efficiency where as impeller Ⅱ with tongue T2 develops minimum total *** diffusion and smaller vortex size are the reasons for better performance of impeller Ⅲwith tongue T2。

One type of soft tissue lesions of the oral cavity is lipoma, which is a kind of benign tumor composed of mature lipid cells. Although the lipoma presents as one of the most common mesenchymal neoplasms, most tend to develop on the trunk and proximal portions of the extremities. However, lipomas in the oral and maxillofacial region are much less frequent. Here we present a case of an intraoral lipoma in a six year-old child.

The aim of the present work is to evaluate proton exchange membrane(PEM) fuel cell performance with a modified serpentine flow field with right angle turn by numerical modeling. A 3-D PEM fuel cell model of size 50 cm^(2) active area is developed. A conventional serpentine flow field is modified and the same is considered for the supply of reactants. Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) based simulations were conducted to analyse the pressure drop, distribution of reactants(H_(2) and O_(2)), liquid water activity, current flux density and water content in the membrane. From the simulation results, polarization curve is drawn to validate the literature data of PEMFC with the conventional serpentine flow field. Comparison of simulated polarization curve with literature data revealed that modified serpentine flow field performance is better than conventional serpentine flow field as it offers better water exclusion and uniform sharing of reactants. From this study, it is concluded that model of flow field pattern influences the functioning of fuel cell and utmost care must take while selecting a pattern for flow field of PEM fuel cell.

A new variant of friction-assisted process named friction surface alloying(FSA)for developing surface alloys was demonstrated in the present *** FSA,the dispersed phase is melted and allowed to react with the matrix material to form an alloy at the surface of a metallic *** the present work,magnesium(Mg)sheets and zinc(Zn)powder were selected,and fine grained(~3.5μm)Mg–Zn surface alloy with improved hardness was produced by FSA.X-ray diffraction studies confirmed the formation of intermetallic phases of Mg and Zn at the *** the in vitro degradation studies carried out by immersing in simulated body fluids,a lower corrosion rate was observed for the Mg–Zn surface alloy compared with pure *** surface morphologies after immersion studies indicated large degraded areas on the base Mg compared with Mg–*** results demonstrate the potential of FSA in developing Mg-based surface alloys without melting the substrate to impart better surface properties.

Volumetric, Ultrasonic and Transport Properties of Binary Liquid Mixtures Containing Dimethyl Formamide at 303.15 K

Excess volumes （v^E）, ultrasonic velocities （u）, isentropic compressibility （△Ks） and viscosities （η） for the binary mixtures of dimethyl formamide （DMF） with 1,2-dichlorobenzene, 1,3-dichlorobenzene, 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene, o-chlorotoluene, m-chlorotoluene, p-chlorotoluene, o-nitrotoluene and m-nitrotoluene at 303.15 K were studied. Excess volume data exhibit an inversion in sign for the mixtures of dimethyl formamide with 1,2- and 1,3-dichlorobenzenes and the property is completely positive over the entire composition range for the mixtures of dimethyl formamide with 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene, o-nitrotoluene and m-nitrotoluene. On the other hand, the quantity is negative for the mixtures of dimethyl formamide with chlorotoluenes. Isentropic compressibility （Ks） has been computed for the same systems from precise sound velocity and density data. Further, deviation of isentropic com- pressibility （△Ks） from ideal behavior was also calculated. AKs values are negative over the entire volume fraction range in all the binary mixtures. The experimental sound velocity data were analysed in terms of Free Length Theory （FLT） and Collision Factor Theory （CFT）. The viscosity data were analysed on the basis of corresponding state approach. The measured data were discussed on the basis of intermolecular interactions between unlike molecules.

The next generation of sensors should be self-powered, maintenance-free, precise, and have wide-ranging sensing abilities. Despite extensive research and development in the field of pressure sensors, the sensitivity of most pressure sensors declines significantly at higher pressures, such that they are not able to detect a wide range of pressures with a uniformly high sensitivity. In this work, we demonstrate a single-electrode triboelectric pressure sensor, which can detect a wide range of pressures from 0.05 to 600 kPa with a high degree of sensitivity across the entire range by utilizing the synergistic effects of the piezoelectric polarization and triboelectric surface charges of self-polarized polyvinyldifluoride-trifluoroethylene （P（VDF-TrFE）） sponge. Taking into account both this wide pressure range and the sensitivity, this device exhibits the best performance relative to that of previously reported self-powered pressure sensors. This achievement facilitates wide-range pressure detection for a broad spectrum of applications, ranging from simple human touch, sensor networks, smart robotics, and sports applications, thus paving the way forward for the realization of next-generation sensing devices. Moreover, this work addresses the critical issue of saturation pressure in triboelectric nanogenerators and provides insights into the role of the surface charge on a piezoelectric polymer when used in a triboelectric nanogenerator.

The dynamic pricing environment offers flexibility to the consumers to reschedule their switching *** the dynamic pricing environment results in several benefits to the utilities and consumers,it also poses some *** crowding among residential customers is one of such *** scheduling of loads at low-cost intervals causes crowding among residential customers,which leads to a fall in voltage of the distribution system below its prescribed *** order to prevent crowding phenomena,this paper proposes a priority-based demand response program for local energy *** the program,past contributions made by residential houses and demand are considered as essential parameters while calculating the priority *** non-linear programming(NLP)model proposed in this study seeks to reschedule loads at low-cost intervals to alleviate crowding *** the NLP model does not guarantee global optima due to its non-convex nature,a second-order cone programming model is proposed,which captures power flow characteristics and guarantees global *** proposed formulation is solved using General Algebraic Modeling System(GAMS)software and is tested on a 12.66 kV IEEE 33-bus distribution system,which demonstrates its applicability and efficacy.

High performance liquid chromatography mass spectrometric method for the simultaneous quantification of pravastatin and aspirin in human plasma:Pharmacokinetic application

A rapid and sensitive liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric（LC-MS/MS） assay method has been developed and fully validated for the simultaneous quantification of pravastatin and aspirin in human *** was used as an internal *** and the internal standard were extracted from human plasma by liquid-liquid extraction technique using methyl tertiary butyl *** reconstituted samples were chromatographed on a Zorbax SB-C;8 column by using a mixture of 5 mM ammonium acetate buffer and acetonitrile（20:80,v/v） as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 0.8 mL/*** calibration curve obtained was linear（r≥0.99） over the concentration range of 0.50-600.29 ng/mL for pravastatin and 20.07-2012.00 ng/mL for *** validation was performed as per FDA guidelines and the results met the acceptance criteria.A run time of 2.0 min for each sample made it possible to analyze more than 400 human plasma samples per *** proposed method was found to be applicable to clinical studies.
