Plasmonic metal-insulator-metal （MIM） waveguides sustain excellent property of confining the surface plasmons up to a deep subwavelength scale. In this paper, linear and S-shaped MIM waveguides are cascaded together to design the model of Mach-Zehnder interferometer （MZI）. Nonlinear material has been used for switching of light across its output ports. The structures of even and odd parity generators are projected by cascading the MZIs. Parity generator and checker circuit are used for error correction and detection in an optical communication system. Study and analysis of proposed designs are carried out by using the MATLAB simulation and finite-difference- time-domain （FDTD） method.

The field and microstructural features coupled with mineral chemical data from microgranular enclave(ME)and host Mesoproterozoic Kanigiri granite(KG)pluton of Nellore Schist Belt(NSB),Southeastern India,have been documented in order to infer the likely processes responsible for the origin and evolution of ME and host KG *** ME and host KG bear the same mineral assemblages barring the KG which does not contain amphibole;however,they are modally *** ME in KG is originated due to multiple intrusions of ME magmas into the crystallizing host KG magma *** and textural features indicate the dynamic magma flow,mingling,and undercooling of the ME against a relatively cooler surface of host KG *** presence of NSB country rock xenoliths and its diffuse boundaries suggest the intrusive relation and marginal assimilation by the intruding KG *** occasional cumulate texture in the ME appears to have formed by the accumulation of early-formed minerals that crystallized rapidly in the ME magma *** ME shows the magmatically deform features developed due to the flowage and erosion by the subsequent intrusions of ME magma pulses into the crystallizing host KG magma *** ME amphiboles show unusual composition as ferro-edenitic hornblende to potassian-hastingsitic hornblende,that crystallized in the subalkaline-alkaline transition,low fO_(2)(reducing to mildly oxidizing)*** unusual extremely low Mg/Mg+Fe^(t)=0.015(avg.)of ME amphiboles may be related to the changing physico-chemical(P,T,fO_(2),and H_(2)O)condition of the ME magma or they might have crystallized in equilibrium with more evolved KG *** KG(FeOt/MgO=37.04,avg.)and ME(FeO~t/MgO=77.72,avg.)biotites are siderophyllite,and buffered between QFM and NNO syn-crystallizing in the water undersaturated(H_(2O)≈3.58 wt.%in KG;≈3.53wt.%in ME),alkaline anorogenic(A-type)host magmas that were emplaced at mid-crustal(4–5 kbar;17 km)***,microtextural and mineral

Experimental results on the thermal characteristics of air-water spray impingement cooling of hot metallic surface are presented and discussed in this *** controlling input parameters investigated were the combined air and water pressures,plate thickness,water flow rate,nozzle height from the target surface and initial temperature of the hot *** effects of these input parameters on the important thermal characteristics such as heat transfer rate,heat transfer coefficient and wetting front movement were measured and *** flat plate samples of mild steel with dimension 120 mm in length,120 mm breadth and thickness of 4 mm,6 mm,and 8mm respectively were *** air assisted water spray was found to be an effective cooling media and method to achieve very high heat transfer rate from the *** heat transfer rate and heat transfer coefficients were obtained for the lesser i.e,4 mm thick *** in the nozzle height reduced the heat transfer efficiency of spray *** an inlet water pressure of 4 bar and air pressure of 3 bar,maximum cooling rates670℃/s and average cooling rate of 305.23℃/s were achieved for a temperature of 850℃ of the steel plate.

This article investigates the role of the specularity coefficient(φ,the extent of the energy dissipation due to particle-wall collisions),inter-particle restitution coefficient(e_(pp),the extent of the energy dissipation due to inter-particle collisions),and four combinations of these variables on the hydrodynamics,and the pressure recovery of the dilute gas-solid suspension in a *** investigation applies the two-fluid modeling approach along with the kinetic theory of the granular *** present investigation’s findings indicate that an increase inφor a reduction in e_(pp) reduces the pressure recovery by weakening the reverse momentum transfer phenomenon,which is recognized as the primary means for the pressure ***,in a gas-solid flow system,a higherφor smaller e_(pp) enhances the particles’trapping in the recirculation *** recirculation zone’s strength and size increase asφincreases or e_(pp) ***,an increase in the wall-particle and inter-particle interactions strengthens the sidewise displacement of the *** effect of the wall-particle and inter-particle interactions are insignificant for extremely small solid loading.

The paper aimed to study the flow structure at the wake of the bluff body with altered blockage ratio(BR)keeping the fixed aspect ratio(AR).The study was conducted by a finite volume technique using commercial software *** CFD analysis of the bluff body is mainly subjected to the lower subcritical Reynolds number range(5000 to 15,000)along with blockage ratio as an important *** flow parameters such as drag coefficient,pressure,and kinetic energy variations are analyzed here for the Reynolds number(Re)and *** was observed that at fixed Re,t he drag coefficient(C_(D))increases with an increase in the BR while decrease with increasing Re for a fixed value of BR.

Folic acid and D-gluconic acid-capped gadolinium oxide nanorods and nanocuboids were synthesized via co-precipitation *** study of relaxivity factor on the role of capping and morphology for enhancing contrast ability for T_(1) and T_(2) magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) was *** obtained r_(2)/r_(1) ratio for folic acid and D-gluconic acid-capped gadolinium oxide nanorods and nanocuboids was 1.5 and 1.3,*** nanocrystals were characterized and presented with properties such as good dispersity and stability required for standard contrast agent used in *** characterization and the analysis of capping agent for nanocrystals suggest the preferable use of carbohydrate moieties with higher number of hydroxyl functional group reacted with urea and hydrogen peroxide for desired morphology and anisotropic ***-differential thermal analysis(TG-DTA) illustrated the amount of capping,transition temperature from Gd(OH)3 to GdOOH and crystallization temperature from GdOOH to *** nanocrystals would be significant for other biomedical applications such as drug delivery when equipped with well-functionalized drug molecules.

This paper presents a new feature descriptor, namely local extreme complete trio pattern （LECTP） for image retrieval application. The LECTP extracts complete extreme to minimal edge information in all possible directions using trio values. The LECTP integrates the local extreme sign trio patterns （LESTP） with magnitude local operator （MLOP） for image retrieval. The performance of the LECTP is tested by conducting three experiments on Corel-5 000, Corel-10 000 and MIT-VisTex color databases, respectively. The results after investigation show a significant improvement in terms of average retrieval precision （ARP） and average retrieval rate （ARR） as compared to the other state-of-the art techniques in content based image retrieval （CBIR）.

Chemicals are comprehensively used worldwide to control herbs,weeds,pests,and other competing agents with various growing *** consumption of crops grown with these chemicals(even in small quantities)can upshot into accumulation in the human *** can accidentally inhale these hazardous chemicals if they are in an area where they were *** chemicals can be ingested in a human with contaminated food and *** it causes various adverse effects(chronic toxicity,teratogenic,mutagenic,carcinogenic effect,reproductive,and organ toxicity)on human *** the pool of these chemicals used as pesticides in the environment,exposure of endosulfan to humans has a potential health risk throughout the *** poisoning of endosulfan is reported frequently in society,therefore,this article highlights the toxicological and other harmful properties of endosulfan to humans and emphasized its essential *** quick monitoring and effective hazard evaluation are possible with multiomics technologies and some other analytical *** review summarizes the introduction and mechanism of action of endosulfan along with some other toxic chemicals used in the agriculture work,the toxicity of endosulfan in human/environment,and importantly its biomonitoring(detection of chemicals and their metabolites in a biological sample)in human because biomonitoring is often considered as the most preferred *** could be easily done in human samples(blood,hair,milk,and urine)with a multi-omics approach,which is a quick,reliable,and state-of-the-art technique.

Underground mining always create *** voids can cause subsidence of *** it is always a demand to fill the void in such a manner that the effect of underground mining can be *** filling using mill tailings especially in metal mining is one of the best *** tailings produced in milling process have traditionally been disposed in tailing ponds creating a waste disposal and environmental problems in terms of land degradation,air and water pollution,*** disposal practice is more acute in the metal milling industry where the fine grinding,required for value liberation,results in the production of very fine tailings in large *** paper includes discussions on the effectiveness of different paste mixes with varying cement contents in paste backfilling *** results revealed that material composition and use of super plasticizer strongly influenced the strength of cemented backfill.
