Chemosensory proteins(CSPs)play important roles in insects’chemoreception,although their specific functional roles have not been fully *** this study,we conducted the developmental expression patterns and competitive binding assay as well as knock‐down assay by RNA interference both in vitro and in vivo to reveal the function of NlugCSP10 from the brown planthopper(BPH),Nilaparvata lugens(Stål),a major pest in rice *** results showed that NlugCSP10 messenger RNA was significantly higher in males than in females and correlated to gender,development and wing *** fluorescence binding assays revealed that NlugCSP10 exhibited the highest binding affinity with cis‐3‐hexenyl acetate,eicosane,and(+)‐β‐*** assay revealed that eicosane displayed attractant activity,while cis‐3‐hexenyl acetate,similar to(+)‐β‐pinene significantly repelled *** *** of NlugCSP10,which is responsible for cis‐3‐hexenyl acetate binding,significantly disrupted cis‐3‐hexenyl acetate ***,findings of the present study showed that NlugCSP10 could selectively interrelate with numerous volatiles emitted from host plants and these ligands could be designated to develop slow‐release mediators that attract/repel *** and subsequently improve the exploration of plans to control this insect pest.

AiM： To evaluate the inhibitory effect of subconjunctival bevacizumab as single-and multiple-dose application, and compare their effects on corneal neovascularization in a rat model. METHODS： Thirty adult Sprague-Dawley rats were used in this experimental study. The central cornea of the rats was cauterized chemically. The rats were randomly enrolled into three groups. All groups received subconjunctival injections. in Group 1（control group, n=10）, 0.05 m L 0.9% Na Cl solution was injected on the first day. in Group 2（single-dose group, n=10）, 0.05 m L bevacizumab（1.25 mg） was injected on the first day. in Group 3（multiple-dose group, n=10）, four doses of 0.05 m L bevacizumab（1.25 mg） were injected on the first, third, fifth and seventh day. Slit-lamp examination of all rats was performed at the third and ninth day. Digital images of the corneas were taken and analyzed using image analysis software to calculate corneal neovascularization area. All rats were sacrificed on the tenth day. in corneal sections, the number of blood vessels, state of inflammation and collagen formation was evaluated histopathologically. RESULTS： in Group 3, corneal edema grades were significantly lower than Group 1 and Group 2（P=0.02, and P=0.035, respectively）. The mean percentage of neovascularized corneal area in Group 3 was significantly lower than Group 2（P=0.005）. On histopathological examination, Group 2 and Group 3 showed significantly less number of blood vessels than Group 1（P=0.005, and P=0.001, respectively）. Additionally, Group 3 showed significantly less number of blood vessels compared to Group 2（P=0.019）. inflammation and edema grades were significantly lower in Group 3 compared to Group 1（P=0.001）. CONCLUSiON： Subconjunctival bevacizumab injection is effective in inhibition of newly formed corneal neovascularization. The multiple-dose bevacizumab treatment seems to be more effective compared to single-dose treatment.

BACKGROUND Habitual khat(Catha edulis) chewing has been proven to cause numerous oral tissue changes. However, oral melanoacanthoma triggered by chronic khat chewing is rare. Oral melanoacanthoma is an uncommon, sudden, asymptomatic, benign pigmentation of the oral cavity. Under the microscope, the epithelial layer of the oral mucosa showed dendritic melanocyte proliferation and acanthosis. The study aimed to highlight chronic khat chewing as a trigger for oral *** SUMMARY in the current study, we report a case of a 26-year-old male patient with a rare presentation of oral melanoacanthoma triggered by regular khat chewing. Many intrinsic and extrinsic factors can cause oral pigmentation. Chewing khat is an extrinsic factor that can cause several diseases, including oral pigmentation. in this case, the definitive diagnosis was oral melanoacanthoma. Synthesis and characterization of rare earth metal doped tungsten trioxide photocatalyst for degradation of Rhodamine B dye

Nowadays,it is concern for researchers that due to high recombination rate of photogenerated charge carriers in tungsten trioxide(WO_(3)) nanoparticles,the future applications are limited in the field of *** we attempt to synthesize tungsten trioxide nanoparticles with different doping concentrations of lanthanum i.e.2 wt%,4 wt%,6 wt% and 8 wt%.The synthesized samples were characterized by using various characterization techniques:X-ray diffraction(XRD),Raman spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTiR),photoluminescence spectra(PL),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),energy dispersive X-ray(EDX) and UV-Vis ***_(3) retains its monoclinic structure even after doping which was confirmed by XRD *** helps to descry functional groups present in the *** size of nanoparticles was calculated by using *** confirms the absence of any impurity in the synthesized *** spectroscopy confirms the presence of a large number of imperfections induced in the lattice of WO_(3).The rate of recombination was analyzed by photoluminescence(PL) spectroscopy and is minimum in 4 wt% doping of *** optical bandgap was calculated using UV-Vis spectroscopy and becomes narrow along with the doping ***,it is found that doping of La in WO_(3) has considerably ameliorate the photocatalytic activity by reducing rate of recombination due to the trapping of electrons by defects introduced in the *** decolorization of Rhodamine B(RhB) dye was performed and the values of c/c_0 and rate constant(k) confirm that the 4 wt% doping shows maximum degradation *** kinetic study for photodegradation of Rhodamine B was done by using various kinetic models and results show that the reaction follows first order kinetics very ***,optimum doping of lanthanum increases the decolorization ability of WO_(3) towards RhB dye.

Knowledge of genetic relatedness among accessions of germplasm is necessary for the development of breeding strategies to produce improved cultivars. The present investigation on Hippophae rhamnoides was carried out to assess its genetic variability in Himachal Pradesh, india, by employing morphological and RAPD markers. Different areas of Himachal Pradesh were surveyed and eight sites were finally selected Twenty four genotypes were selected for further studies, i.e., three genotypes from each site. On the basis of morphological studies, the genotypes of the Ropa site （Kinnaur） were considered elite genotypes. To assess the variability at the molecular level, RAPD patterns were studied by random primers. The total number of bands amplified was 607, out of which 487 bands were identified as polymorphic, depicting 80.23 per cent variability. Six unique bands were produced from three primers （OPA- 05, OPA-10 and OPD-08） specific for five genotypes, including three genotypes of the Ropa site, Kinnaur District.

Hepatotoxicity reports in the FDA adverse event reporting system database:A comparison of drugs that cause injury via mitochondrial or other mechanisms

Drug-induced liver injury(DiLi) is a leading reason for preclinical safety attrition and postmarket drug ***-induced mitochondrial toxicity has been shown to play an essential role in various forms of DiLi,especially in idiosyncratic liver *** study examined liver injury reports submitted to the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) Adverse Event Reporting System(FAERS) for drugs associated with hepatotoxicity via mitochondrial mechanisms compared with non-mitochondrial mechanisms of *** frequency of hepatotoxicity was determined at a group level and individual drug level.A reporting odds ratio(ROR) was calculated as the measure of *** the two DiLi groups,reports for DiLi involving mitochondrial mechanisms of toxicity had a 1.43(95% Ci 1.42-1.45;P imes higher odds compared to drugs associated with non-mitochondrial mechanisms of ***,antiviral,analgesic,antibiotic,and antimycobacterial drugs were the top five drug classes with the highest ROR *** the top 20 drugs with the highest ROR values included drugs with both mitochondrial and non-mitochondrial injury mechanisms,the top four drugs(ROR values> 18:benzbromarone,troglitazone,isoniazid,rifampin) were associated with mitochondrial mechanisms of *** major demographic influence for DiLi risk was also *** was a higher mean patient age among reports for drugs that were associated with mitochondrial mechanisms of toxicity [56.1±18.33(SD)] compared to non-mitochondrial mechanisms [48±19.53(SD)](P ing that age may play a role in susceptibility to DiLi via mitochondrial mechanisms of *** logistic regression analysis showed that reports of liver injury were 2.2(odds ratio:2.2,95% Ci 2.12-2.26) times more likely to be associated with older patient age,as compared with reports involving patients less than 65 years of *** to males,female patients were 37% less likely(odds ratio:0.63,95% Ci

Although some experiments have shown that point defects in a cathode host material may enhance its performance for lithium-sulfur battery(LSB),the enhancement mechanism needs to be well investigated for the design of desired sulfur ***,the first principle density functional theory(DFT)is adopted to investigate a high-performance sulfur host material based on oxygen-defective TiO2(D-TiO2).The adsorption energy comparisons and Gibbs free energy analyses verify that D-TiO2 has relatively better performances than defect-free TiO2 in terms of anchoring effect and catalytic conversion of ***,D-TiO2 is capable of absorbing the most soluble and diffusive long-chain *** newly designed D-TiO2 composited with three-dimensional graphene aerogel(D-TiO2@Gr)has been shown to be an excellent sulfur host,maintaining a specific discharge capacity of 1,049.3 mAhg^−1 after 100 cycles at 1C with a sulfur loading of 3.2 mgcm^−*** with the sulfur mass loading increasing to 13.7 mgcm^−2,an impressive stable cycling is obtained with an initial areal capacity of 14.6 mAhcm^−2,confirming the effective enhancement of electrochemical performance by the oxygen *** DFT calculations shed lights on the enhancement mechanism of the oxygen defects and provide some guidance for designing advanced sulfur host materials.
