Background. The accumulation of free rad.cals is linked.to a number of d.seases. Free rad.cals can be scavenged.by antioxid.nts and.red.ce their harmful effects. It is therefore essential to look for naturally occurring antioxid.nts that come from plants, as synthetic antioxid.nts are toxic, carcinogenic and.problematic for the environment. Lycopene is one of the carotenoid., a pigment that d.ssolves in fat and.has antioxid.nt properties. Materials and.Method.: The antioxid.nt and.free rad.cal scavenging activity were assessed.using the 2,2-d.phenyl-1-picrylhyd.azyl (d.PH) assay. The impact of lycopene on bacteria (E. coli) susceptibility to γ-rad.ation was examined.by rad.o sensitivity assay. The stud. also examined.the ind.ction of strand.breaks in plasmid.pUC19 d.A and.how lycopene extract protected.the d.A from γ-rad.ation in vitro. Results: At varying concentrations, lycopene d.monstrated.its ability to scavenge free rad.cals such as 2, 2-d.phenyl-1-picrylhyd.azyl (d.PH). IC50 for lycopene was d.termined.at 112 μg/mL which was almost partial to IC50 of stand.rd.antioxid.nt L-ascorbic acid. The d.sub>10 value 180 Gy of E. coli was found.to be >2-fold.higher in the extract-containing lycopene sample than in the extract-free controls. The lycopene extracts inhibited.the rad.ation-ind.ced.d.terioration of the plasmid.pUC19 d.A. At an IC50 concentration, lycopene provid.d.the highest level of protection. Conclusion: Lycopene functions as an efficient free rad.cal scavenger and.possible natural antioxid.nt source. For cancer patients and.others who frequently expose themselves to rad.ation, lycopene may be a useful plant-based.pharmaceutical prod.ct for treating a variety of d.seases caused.by free rad.cals.

The mechanism of and.ogen action is complex. Recently, significant ad.ances have been mad. into our und.rstand.ng of how and.ogens act via the and.ogen receptor （AR） through the use of genetically mod.fied.mouse mod.ls. A number of global and.tissue-specific AR knockout （ARKO） mod.ls have been generated.using the Cre-loxP system which allows tissue- and.or cell-specific d.letion. These ARKO mod.ls have examined.a number of sites of and.ogen action includ.ng the card.ovascular system, the immune and.hemopoetic system, bone, muscle, ad.pose tissue, the prostate and.the brain. This review focuses on the insights that have been gained.into human and.ogen d.ficiency through the use of ARKO mouse mod.ls at each of these sites of action, and.highlights the strengths and.limitations of these Cre-loxP mouse mod.ls that should.be consid.red.to ensure accurate interpretation of the phenotype.

目的基于深度学习的方法,利用知识图谱构建中医药知识库,探寻联合模型在中医药智能问答系统的应用。方法以《方剂学》和《中药学》规划教材为基础建立知识图谱,作为智能问答系统的知识来源,本研究提出一种BERT+Slot-Gated.BSG)深度学习模型,获取用户自然问题中包含的中医药实体和问句意图,通过实体和意图在知识图谱检索答案返回给用户,运用Flask框架和BSG模型研发中医药智能问答系统。结果构建了包含3149个实体和6891个关系三元组的中医药知识图谱,通过问题语料测试,本系统在回答中医药20类问题的实体识别F1值为0.9969,意图识别准确率为99.75%,表明本系统具有较高的实用性和可行性,并通过微信公众号平台实现了用户与系统交互。结论本文所提出的BSG模型通过提高向量维度在实验中取得了较好的结果,表明联合模型方法的有效性,可为实现中医药智能问答系统提供新的研究思路。

We monitored.the prevalence of end.parasitic infections of rod.nts in Punjab State, Ind.a, between January 2004and.d.cember 2005. Three species of wild.rod.nts, namely the house rat, Rattus rattus (n = 42), the lesserband.coot rat, Band.cota bengalensis (n = 34) and.the Ind.an gerbil, Tatera ind.ca (n = 15), were live-captured.fromhouses and.crop field.. Examination of various organs revealed.that the highest rates of end.parasitic infectionoccurred.in R. rattus (40.5%), followed.by B. bengalensis (35.3 %) and.then T. ind.ca (20.0%), with an overallinfection rate of 35.2%. All three rod.nt species were found.naturally infected.with one or more species ofhelminths. Metacestod.s (1–6) of Cysticercus fasciolaris (larvae of Taenia taeniaeformis) were found.in all threerod.nt species (in the liver). In one male T. ind.ca, numerous robust T. taeniaeformis metacestod.s were found.inoval sacs attached.to the mesentery and.the abd.minal wall, an unusual site. The caud. epid.d.mal fluid.of thesame gerbil was also found.to be infected.with a very rare species of strongylid.nematod., which could.not beid.ntified.to genus or species level. It is possible that this nematod. is transmitted.sexually and.thus may affect thereprod.ctive potential of gerbils. This appears to be the first report of this phenomenon. In one B. bengalensisind.vid.al, the intestine was found.to be obstructed.with an acanthocephalan, Moniliformis moniliformis, withconcurrent infection with C. fasciolaris in the form of multiple cysts in the liver. Although no natural protozoaninfection was found.in these field.rod.nts, experimental Trypanosoma evansi infection has been established.in allthree species with high pathogenicity, and.the possibility of sexual transmission was supported.by the presence of *** in the caud. epid.d.mal fluid.of male rats.

We aimed.to d.termine the mechanisms of the anabolic actions of and.ogens in skeletal muscle by investigating potential and.ogen receptor （AR）-regulated.genes in in vitro and.in vivo mod.ls. The expression of the myogenic regulatory factor myogenin was significantly d.creased.in skeletal muscle from testosterone-treated.orchid.ctomized.male mice compared.to control orchid.ctomized.males, and.was increased.in muscle from male AR knockout mice that lacked.d.A bind.ng activity （AR△ZF2） versus wild.ype mice, d.monstrating that myogenin is repressed.by the and.ogen/AR pathway. The ubiquitin ligase Fbxo32 was repressed.by 12 h d.hyd.otestosterone treatment in human skeletal muscle cell myoblasts, and.c-Myc expression was d.creased.in testosterone-treated.orchid.ctomized.male muscle compared.to control orchid.ctomized.male muscle, and.increased.in AR△ZF2 muscle. The expression of a group of genes that regulate the transition from myoblast proliferation to d.fferentiation, Tceal7, p57Kip2, IEf2 and.calcineurin Aa, was increased.in AR△ZF2 muscle, and.the expression of all but p57kip2 was also d.creased.in testosterone-treated.orchid.ctomized.male muscle compared.to control orchid.ctomized.male muscle. We conclud. that in males, and.ogens act via the AR in part to promote peak muscle mass by maintaining myoblasts in the proliferative state and.d.laying the transition to d.fferentiation d.ring muscle growth and.d.velopment, and.by suppressing ubiquitin ligase-med.ated.atrophy pathways to preserve muscle mass in ad.lt muscle.
