Video prediction is the problem of generating future frames by exploiting the spatiotemporal correlation from the past frame *** is one of the crucial issues in computer vision and has many real-world applications,mainly focused on predicting future scenarios to avoid undesirable ***,modeling future image content and object is challenging due to the dynamic evolution and complexity of the scene,such as occlusions,camera movements,delay and *** frame synthesis or optical-flow estimation are common approaches used by ***,researchers mainly focused on video prediction using one of the *** methods have limitations,such as direct frame synthesis,usually face blurry prediction due to complex pixel distributions in the scene,and optical-flow estimation,usually produce artifacts due to large object displacements or obstructions in the *** this paper,we constructed a deep neural network Frame Prediction Network(FPNet-OF)with multiplebranch inputs(optical flow and original frame)to predict the future video frame by adaptively fusing the future object-motion with the future frame *** key idea is to jointly optimize direct RGB frame synthesis and dense optical flow estimation to generate a superior video prediction *** various real-world datasets,we experimentally verify that our proposed framework can produce high-level video frame compared to other state-ofthe-art framework.

Nesting tree characteristics of heronry birds of urban ecosystems in peninsular India： implications for habitat management

Wetland ecosystems, particularly the mangrove forest, are the primary wild habitat of heronry birds. However, urban ecosystems have become a favorite breeding habitat of these birds. To provide inputs into the habitat management for conservation of these birds, we investigated the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of nesting trees of heronry birds in the urban environment of the North Kerala region of peninsular India. Census on nesting trees was done in 3 major microhabitats of the urban ecosystem： avenues of national highways and towns, nonresidential plots, and residential areas apart from the mangrove islets in the peri-urban locality. The study found that 174 trees of 22 species hosted 1,928 heronry bird nests in the urban habitats; mangrove forests, although plentiful in the study area, hosted only about 20% of the total nests encountered in the study. Rain trees Samanea saman （43.7%） were the most available nesting tree. The greatest number of nests and nesting trees were encountered on the roads of urban areas, followed by nonresidential areas and residential areas. The differences in the observed frequencies of nesting trees in 3 microhabitats and in 3 types of roads （national highways 〉 state highways 〉 small pocket road） were significant. Canopy spread, girth size, and quality of the trees predicted the tree selection of the heronry birds in urban environments. Therefore, we recommend proper management and notification of the identified nesting trees as protected sites for the conservation of herorny birds.

Influence of Sputtering Pressure on the Structure and Mechanical Properties of Nanocomposite Ti-Si-N Thin Films

Nanocomposite Ti-Si-N thin films have been deposited on Si （100） substrate by direct current/radio frequency （DC/RF） magnetron sputtering. The effect of varying deposition parameters on the structure and mechanical properties of Ti-Si-N films has been investigated by characterization techniques such as X-ray dif- fraction （XRD）, field emission scanning electron microscopy （FE-SEM）, atomic force microscopy （AFM） and nanoindentation, respectively. XRD analysis of the thin films exhibit all （111）, （200） and （220） peaks initially with varying sputtering pressure, but （111） peak dominates at higher sputtering pressure. The crystallite size calculated from XRD peaks shows that it increases with increasing sputtering pressure. Microstructural analy- sis reveals that the dense blurred grains transform into uniform grains in the films and shows porosity with increasing sputtering pressure. The surface roughness of the Ti-Si-N films increases with varying sputtering pressure. The hardness and Youngrs modulus values of Ti-Si-N films are 33.7 and 278.6 GPa, respectively, with 0.7 Pa sputtering pressure but it decreases with further increase in sputtering pressure due to an increase in porosity of the films.

Software validation aims to ensure that a particular software product fulfils its intended purpose,and needs to be performed against both software requirement as well as its implementation(***).However,for diagnostic software(i.e.a diagnoser)performing online diagnosis against certain fault models and reports diagnosis decision,the underlying fault models are usually not explicitly specified,neither by formal language nor by descriptive *** lack of formal representation of fault models leaves the intended purpose of the diagnostic software vague,making its validation *** address this issue,the authors propose various model-based techniques that can generate concrete examples of the diagnoser's key *** examples are represented in an intuitive and possibly visualised way,facilitating the designers/users to approve or disapprove the conformance of the diagnoser to the intended *** proposed techniques work for validation of both the requirement and implementation that can be modelled as finite state machine,and are illustrated through applications on vehicle on-board diagnostic requirement.

Effect of multi-directional forging(MDF)on wear properties of Mg-Zn alloys(with 2,4,and 6wt%Zn)is *** sliding wear test was performed using pin on disk machine on MDF processed and homogenized *** behavior of samples was analyzed at loads of ION and 20 N,with sliding distances of 2000m and 4000m,at a sliding velocity of 3m/*** of worn samples were observed under scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),and x-ray diffraction(XRD)and the results were *** properties were evaluated using microhardness *** 5 passes of MDF,the average grain size was found to be 30±4p m,22±3 pm,and 18±3 pm,in Mg-2%Zn,Mg-4%Zn,and Mg-6%Zn alloys,respectively,with significant improvement in hardness in all *** resistance was improved after MDF processing,as well as,with increment in Zn content in Mg ***,it decreased when the load and the sliding distance *** surface exhibited ploughing,delamination,plastic deformation,and wear debris along sliding direction,and abrasive wear was found to be the main mechanism.
