Natural resources are practically infinitely abundant in nature,which stimulates scientists to create new materials with inventive uses and minimal environmental *** to the various benefits of natural carbon dots(NCDs)from them has received a lot of attention *** products-derived carbon dots have recently emerged as a highly promising class of nanomaterials,showcasing exceptional properties and eco-friendly nature,which make them appealing for diverse applications in various fields such as biomedical,environmental sensing and monitoring,energy storage and conversion,optoelectronics and photonics,agriculture,quantum computing,nanomedicine and cancer *** techniques such as Photoinduced electron transfer,Aggregation-Induced-Emission(AIE),Absorbance,Fluorescence in UV-Vis and NIR Regions play crucial roles in understanding the structural and optical properties of Carbon dots(CDs).The exceptional photoluminescence properties exhibited by CDs derived from natural products have paved the way for applications in tissue engineering,cancer treatment,bioimaging,sensing,drug delivery,photocatalysis,and promising remarkable advancements in these *** this review,we summarized the various synthesis methods,physical and optical properties,applications,challenges,future prospects of natural products-derived carbon dots *** this expanding sector,the difficulties and prospects for NCD-based materials research will also be explored.

Electron beam welding of precipitation hardened CuCrZr alloy:Modeling and experimentation

In order to maintain the structural consistency during the welding of precipitation hardened copperchromium-zirconium(PH-CuCrZr)alloy components,electron beam welding(EBW)process was *** study and numerical modeling of EBW process during welding of PH-CuCrZr alloy components were carried out.A 3D finite element model was developed to predict the output responses(bead penetration and bead width)as a function of EBW input parameters(beam current,acceleration voltage and weld speed).A combined circular and conical source with Gaussian heat distribution was used to model the deep penetration characteristic of the EBW *** modeling was carried out by developing user defined function in Ansys *** predictions were compared with the experimental results which had a good agreement with each *** developed model can be used for parametric study in wide range of problems involving complex geometries which are to be welded using EBW *** present work illustrates that the input current with a contribution of 44.56%and 81.13%is the most significant input parameter for the bead penetration and bead width,respectively.

The Challenges of Diagnosis and Control of Enterotoxaemia Caused by <i>Clostridium perfringens</i>in Small Ruminants

Enterotoxaemia is one of the important pathologies caused by Clostridium perfringens, which produces intestinal and systemic disease in goats, sheep and other animals. These Gram-positive anaerobic bacteria are normally resident in the intestinal tract of ruminants but during favourable conditions, proliferate uncontrollably and release toxins which produce disease in the host. Different strains of C. perfringens are responsible for several clinical syndromes, including lamb dysentery, pulpy kidney disease and struck. However, the pathology and pathogenesis of caprine enterotoxaemia is not well understood, with limited studies available in goats. Caprine enterotoxaemia can be controlled with the better understanding of its risk factors and pathogenesis. The diagnosis of enterotoxaemia in animals is complex and often requires group of tests than one single test for better specificity and sensitivity. Tentative diagnosis of enterotoxaemia in sheep and goats is based on the history, clinical signs and gross lesions during post-mortem examination of animals;however, confirmatory diagnosis of enterotoxaemia requires different laboratory diagnostic tools. Toxin detection of C. perfringens in case of enterotoxaemia is furthermost accepted benchmark in establishing a definitive diagnosis of enterotoxaemia in intestinal contents. Measuring urine glucose or observing Gram-stained smears of intestinal mucosa can be used as supplementary tests. However, it is also imperative that enterotoxaemia cannot be ruled out in the event of negativity of aforementioned diagnostic tests. Hence, definitive diagnosis of enterotoxaemia in goats can be achieved with the use of molecular techniques (PCR, ELISA and immune-fluorescence) coupled with toxin detection in intestine or biological assays including mouse inoculation test (MIT).
