In this paper, the effect of angle inclination at the interface of a viscous fluid and thermoelastic micropolar honeycomb solid due to inclined load is investigated. The inclined load is assumed to be a linear combination of normal load and tangential load. Laplace transform with respect to time variable and Fourier transform with respect to space variable are applied to solve the problem. Expressions of stresses, temperature distribution, and pressures in the transformed domain are obtained by introducing potential functions. The numerical inversion technique is used to obtain the solution in the physical domain. The frequency domain expressions for steady state are also obtained with appropriate change of variables. Graphic representations due to the response of different sources and changes of angle inclination are shown. Some particular cases are also discussed.

Elastodynamic analysis of an anisotropic liquid-saturated porous medium is made to study a deformation problem of a transversely isotropic liquid-saturated porous medium due to mechanical sources. Certain physical problems are of the nature, in which the deformation takes place only in one direction, e.g., the problem relating to deformed structures and columns. In soil mechanics, an assumption of only vertical subsidence is often invoked and this leads to the one dimensional model of poroelasticity. By consid- ering a model of one-dimensional deformation of the anisotropic liquid-saturated porous medium, variations in disturbances are observed with reference to time and distance. The distributions of displacements and stresses are affected due to the anisotropy of the medium, and also due to the type of sources causing the disturbances.

In this paper,the temperature distribution in the multi-layer of the skin is studied when the skin surface is subjected to most generalized boundary *** skin model consists of three layers known as the epidermis,dermis,and subcutaneous *** layers of skin are assumed to be connected with point of interface condition and taking the barrier in between each of the two layers by symmetric flux condition and analyzing each layer *** classical Fourier and non-Fourier(DPL)models are extended to analyze the behavior of heat transfer in the multi-layer of the *** Laplace transform technique is used to derive analytical solutions for the multi-layer of skin *** effects of the variability of different parameters such as relaxation time,layer thickness,and different types of boundary conditions on the behavior of temperature distribution in the multi-layer of skin are analyzed and discussed in *** the effects are shown *** has been observed that during temperature distribution in the multi-layer of skin,the measurement of skin damage is less on the DPL model(rq>Tt)in comparison to the classical Fourier model.

Objective:To screen the wound healing activity of aqueous and ethanolic extract of roots of Ficus ***:Both the extracts were evaluated for wound healing by three models ie. incision,excision and dead space *** incision and dead space the extracts were applied ilaily topically till the 10th post wounding days while in excision model it was till the complete epithelialization *** group were administered Povidone iodine ointment topically *** breaking strength,percentage of wound contraction,period of epithelialization,dry granulation weight and hydroxyproline content were ***:The result of the present study showed that both extracts were able to increase the breaking strength(incision model), decrease period of *** percentage wound contraction(excision model), increase hydroxyproline content(Dead space wound model) significantly compared with control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:Based on result we conclude that aqueous extract is more effective than ethanolic ***,it is needed more research to be carried out especially on toxicity studies of ethanolic extract.

AIM:To determine the incidence and factors responsible for anastomotic leaks and stricture following anterior resection(AR)and its subsequent ***:Retrospective analysis of data from 108 patients with rectal carcinoma who underwent AR or low anterior resection(LAR)to identify the various preoperative,operative,and post operative factors that might have influence on anastomotic leaks and ***:There were 68 males and 40 females with an average of 47 years(range 21-75 years).The median distance of the tumor from the anal verge was 8 cm(range 3-15 cm).Sixty(55.6%)patients underwent handsewn anastomosis and 48(44.4%)were *** median operating time was 3.5 h(range2.0-7.5 h).Sixteen(14.6%)patients had an anastomotic *** these,11 patients required reexploration and five were managed *** anastomotic leak rate was similar in patients with and without diverting stoma(8/60,13.4%with stoma and 8/48;16.7%without stoma).In 15(13.9%)patients,resection margins were positive for ***(17.6%)patients developed anastomotic strictures at a median duration of 8 mo(range 3-20 mo).Among these,15 patients were successfully managed with per-anal *** multivariate analysis,advance age(>60 years)was the only risk factor for anastomotic leak(P=0.004).On the other hand,anastomotic leak(P=0.00),mucin positive tumor(P =0.021),and lower rectal growth(P=0.011)were found as risk factors for the development of an anastomotic ***:Advance age is a risk factor for an anastomotic *** anastomotic leak,a mucin-secreting tumor,and lower rectal growth predispose patients to develop anastomotic strictures.

AA5083 friction stir welds were produced using systematic experimental design, the process forces and heat input with varying parameters were studied. Helpful empirical models were developed in designing friction stir welding （FSW） tools and FSW welders. These models may be further helpful for making process parameter choice for this sort of alloy, defining welding program and control of process parameters by using computer numerical control friction stir welding welders. The results show that tool rotational speed, welding speed and tool shoulder diameter are most significant parameters affecting axial force and heat input, while longitudinal force is significantly affected by welding speed and probe diameter.

Background:Acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)is characterised by a sudden deterioration of underlying chronic liver disease,resulting in increased rates of mortality and liver *** prognostication can benefit optimal allocation of ***:ACLF was defined as per the disease criteria of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the *** discharge summaries from between January 2001 and April 2013 were *** primary outcome was mortality or liver transplantation within 60 days from onset of ***‘model for end-stage liver disease’(MELD)score and change in MELD at Weeks 1,2 and 4 were reviewed in order to identify the earliest point for prediction of mortality or liver ***:Clinical data were collected on 53 subjects who fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion *** 60 days from presentation,20 patients(37.7%)died and 4(7.5%)underwent liver *** MELD of-2 after 2 weeks was 75.0%sensitive and 75.9%specific for predicting mortality or liver *** the MELD score did not increase at 2 weeks,predictive chance of survival was 93.8%over the next 60 *** change at 1 week showed poor sensitivity and *** at 4 weeks was too late for ***:Change in MELD score at 2 weeks provides an early opportunity for prognostication in ACLF.A MELD score that does not deteriorate by Week 2 would predict 93.8%chance of survival for the next 60 *** finding warrants further validation in larger cohort studies.

Objective:The objective of this study was to assess and compare job satisfaction and organizational commitment among nurses working on temporary versus permanent basis at a tertiary care teaching hospital,Uttarakhand,*** and Methods:A total of 250 nurses(125 temporary and 125 permanent)were selected using stratified disproportionate random sampling techniques from a tertiary care teaching *** datasheet,Job Satisfaction Survey scale,and Organizational Commitment scale were used to collect ***:The study results revealed that the job satisfaction score was significantly higher in permanent nurses(139.1±15.4)than in temporary nurses(131.3±12.2)(P<0.001).However,temporary nurses(85.2±14.4)were more committed toward organization than permanent nurses(80.0±16.0)(P<0.001).There was a significant association between nurses’job satisfaction and their gross salary(P<0.001)and their organizational commitment with the selected profession by own will(P<0.001).Conclusion:The present study concluded that majority of temporary and permanent nurses reported a moderate level of job satisfaction and organizational *** study suggests enhancing employee satisfaction can improve organizational *** well,this study’s findings can serve as a valuable foundation for designing policies to enhance organizational commitment in the future.

Objective:The laparoscopic approach is becoming the standard of care for many surgical ***,in the case of hydatid cysts,laparoscopic management is challenging due to the risk of spillage of hydatid fluid,which can cause an anaphylactic reaction and ***,we report our initial experience with laparoscopic partial pericystectomy of hydatid cysts using long ribbon gauze to decrease intra-operative ***:This was a retrospective study(between January 2010 and December 2021)in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology,Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Science,a tertiary care referral center in northern ***,we have included 37 consecutive patients with hydatid cysts of the liver and *** was made by laboratory and imaging findings(abdominal sonography or contrast enhanced CT scans).All patients were managed with laparoscopic partial ***,a betadine-soaked long ribbon gauze,high-pressure suction canula,and an endo-bag were used in all *** collected data included patient demography,location,size,and number of cysts,WHO type,operative time,blood loss,postoperative complications,hospital stay and ***:In our series,the mean age was 38.4±13.6 years,15(40.5%)were men and 22(59.5%)were *** right lobe of the liver was the most commonly affected site(21,56.8%).The mean operative time was 80.0±32.0 min,and intraoperative blood loss was 23.6±11.5 *** leak was present in 6(16.2%)*** was no *** hospital stay was 5(3,9)days,and no recurrence was observed at a median follow-up of 36 ***:Laparoscopic partial pericystectomy using this technique is safe in the management of hydatid ***,proper packing and safe removal of soaked gauzes can minimize the incidence of postoperative complications and recurrence.

Multi and single carrier waveforms are utilized in cellular systems for high-speed data *** The Fifth Generation(5G)system,several waveform techniques based on multi carrier waveforms are ***,the Peak to Average Power Ratio(PAPR)is seen as one of the significant concerns in advanced waveforms as it degrades the efficiency of the *** proposed article documents the study,progress,and implementation of PAPR reduction algorithms for the 5G radio *** compare the PAPR algorithm performance for advanced and conventional *** simulation results reveal that the advanced Partial Transmission Sequence(PTS)and Selective Mapping(SLM)methods enhanced the throughput and gain of the 5G ***,we have also analyzed the performance of Orthogonal Time Frequency Space Modulation(OTFSM)based on a single carrier system and found that PAPR is significantly low and is best suited to fading *** is seen that the conventional algorithms lower the PAPR but increase the *** proposed PTS and SLM have shown good performance with low computational complexity.
