Phytoremediation is a promising approach for reclamation of salt-affected *** is the most commonly used process,which exploits plants to absorb,immobilize,and accumulate salt in their *** this study,halotolerant plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria(PGPR)were isolated from the rhizosphere of wild grasses growing naturally in salt-affected areas of Lucknow,Uttar Pradesh(India)and were tested for their efficacies of salt-tolerance and plant growth-promoting(PGP)*** on 16S rRNA sequences,the most efficient halotolerant isolates possessing PGP traits were identified as Pseudomonas plecoglossicida(kM 233646),Acinetobacter calcoaceticus(kM 233647),Bacillus flexus(kM 233648),and Bacillus safensis(kM 233652).Application of these isolates as bio-inoculants significantly(Pk^+ratio of bio-inoculant-treated *** compared to un-inoculated control plants,the soil physico-chemical properties of bio-inoculant-treated plants were *** shoot and root biomass(fresh and dry weights),soil enzymes,and soil nutrient parameters showed significant positive correlations with the shoot Na+:k+***,the halotolerant PGPR screened in this study could be useful for the reclamation of saline soils concomitant with improved plant growth and bacoside A yield.

Coronavirus(COVID-19)has impacted nearly every person across the globe either in terms of losses of life or as of *** current coronavirus(COVID-19)pandemic is a rare/special situation where people can express their feelings on Internet-based social *** media is emerging as the biggest platform in recent years where people spend most of their time expressing themselves and their *** research is based on gathering data from Twitter and analyzing the behavior of the people during the COVID-19 *** research is based on the logic expressed by people in this perspective and emotions for the suffering of COVID-19 and *** this research,we have used a Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)network model with Convolutional Neural Network using keras python deep-learning library to determine whether social media platform users are depressed in terms of positive,negative,or neutral emotional out bust based on their Twitter *** results showed that the model has 88.14%accuracy(representation of the correct prediction over the test dataset)after 10 epochs which most tweets showed had neutral *** evaluation shows interesting results in positive(1),negative(–1),and neutral(0)emotions through different visualization.

Groundwater Quality Analysis of Safidon and Julana Blocks of District Jind, Haryana, India

We present an extensive investigation of physico-chemical parameters of water samples of Julana and Safidon blocks of District Jind, Haryana, India. Water samples were collected from different localities in cleaned polythene bottles and were analyzed for the different physico-chemical parameters like pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), total hardness (TH), calcium, magnesium, total alkalinity (TA), carbonate, bicarbonate, sodium, potassium, chloride, sulphate and fluoride. The analyzed parameters were compared with the standard desirable limits prescribed by World Health Organization (WHO), Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) standards of drinking water quality parameters. For the identification of the highly correlated and interrelated water quality parameters, the correlation coefficients were calculated between different parameters and the t-test was applied for checking significance. The results showed significant variations in water quality parameters in the study areas.

Corrosion of Snails (Gastropods) in Acidic Environment and Their Protection

Snails’ protection is essential because this species is to maintain a balanced ecology of water sources. They occur in rivers as well as ponds and balance the pH level of water. But these sources of water are contaminated by effluents, pollutants, acid rain, particulates, biological wastes etc. They can change the pH of water. Water is absorber of carbon dioxide and it converts carbon dioxide into carbonic. Other above mentioned wastes also increase the concentration of H+ ions in water. They produce hostile environment for snails. The outer part of snails is made of CaCO3. It produces chemical reaction in acidic medium and corrosion reaction is accelerated, and thus deterioration starts on the surface of snails. This medium makes their survival become miserable. For this work, corrosion of the snails’ study in the pH values of water is 6.5 in H2CO3 environment. The corrosion rates of snails were calculated by gravimetric methods and potentiostat technique. Aloe Vera was used for corrosion protection in acidic medium. The surface adsorption phenomenon was studied by Langmuir isotherm. Aloe Vera formed thin surface film on the interface of snails which adhered with chemical bonding. It was confirmed by activation energy, heat of adsorption, free energy, enthalpy and entropy. The results of surface coverage area and inhibitors efficiency indicated that Aloe Vera developed a strong protective barrier in the acidic medium.

Solution of the Generalized Abel Integral Equation by Using Almost Bernstein Operational Matrix

A direct almost Bernstein operational matrix of integration is used to propose a stable algorithm for numerical inversion of the generalized Abel integral equation. The applicability of the earlier proposed methods was restricted to the numerical inversion of a part of the generalized Abel integral equation. The method is quite accurate and stable as illustrated by applying it to intensity data with and without random noise to invert and compare it with the known analytical inverse. Thus it is a good method for applying to experimental intensities distorted by noise.

Unusual Oxidation Behaviour of Mesoporous Silicates towards Lignin Model Phenolic Monomer

Oxidation of the lignin model monomer apocynol, 1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenoxy)-ethanol catalysed by mesoporous silica catalysts i.e. MCM-41, MCM-48, SBA-15 using H2O2 as an oxidant has been studied. Selectively, 2-methoxybenzoquinone was obtained along with acetovanillone. Such unprecedented oxidation behaviour of these metal free siliceous catalysts is attributed to the polar internal surface, high surface area as well as the pore architecture. On the other hand, the studied reaction was found to be non-selective when a commercial grade mesoporous silica i.e. Silica-5 was used as catalyst for comparison. Among the various silica catalysts studied, MCMs gave highest conversion and selectivity towards 2-methoxybenzoquinone under very mild reaction conditions.

Slope Stability Assessment of Saptashrungi Gad Temple, Vani, Nashik, Maharashtra, India—A Numerical Approach

The worship places in India are usually situated in and around the hilly regions and/or mountainous area and a number of devotees used to visit the holy places in every area for worship. The stability slopes upon which these worship places are located in the hilly and mountainous region are always a major concern. Moreover, heavy precipitation, weathering conditions, seismic disturbances and human activities could cause problem to the stability of such slopes. The effect of slope instability could cause delay in traffic, loss of life of the devotees at pilgrim sites and the loss of the properties. The Saptashrungi gad temple (SGT) situated on basaltic hills belongs to Deccan volcanic and is one among the 51 Shakti Peeths and the most holy place for pilgrims. In this research, the slope stability analysis at SGT hill is assessed using Phase 2, a finite element program along the two parikrama paths: Parikrama Path 1 (or the Badi Parikrama Path “BPP”), and Parikrama Path 2 (or the Chhoti Parikrama Path “CPP”). On the basis of extensive field work, topographic survey, complex geology, orientations of joint sets, hill slope faces and geotechnical conditions, the study area has been divided into eight zones (Zone#01 to Zone#08), and eighteen topographic profiles (AA′ to RR′) are taken from these eight zones for detailed slope stability analysis. The analysis helps to identify the potentially vulnerable slope and zone of instability.
