Carbazole moiety-based 2PACz([2-(9H-carbazol-9-yl)ethyl]phosphonic acid)self-assembled monolayers(SAMs)are excellent hole-selective contact(HSC)materials with abilities to excel the charge-transferdynamics of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).Herein,we report a facile but powerful method to functionalize the surface of 2PACz-SAM,by which reproducible,highly stable,high-efficiency wide-bandgap PSCs can be *** 2PACz surface treatment with various donor number solvents improves assembly of 2PACz-SAM and leave residual surface-bound solvent molecules on 2PACz-SAM,which increases perovskite grain size,retards halide segregation,and accelerates hole *** surface functionalization achieves a high power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 17.62%for a single-junction wide-bandgap(~1.77 e V)*** also demonstrate a monolithic all-perovskite tandem solar cell using surfaceengineered HSC,showing high PCE of 24.66%with large open-circuit voltage of 2.008 V and high fillfactor of 81.45%.Our results suggest this simple approach can further improve the tandem device,when coupled with a high-performance narrow-bandgap sub-cell.

The sustainability of rice production continues to be a subject of uncertainty and inquiry attributed to shifts in climatic conditions. In light of the impending climate change crisis and the high labor and water costs accompanying it, direct-seeded rice(DSR) is unquestionably one of the most practical solutions. Despite its resource and climate-friendly advantages, early maturing rice faces weed competitiveness and seedling establishment challenges. Resolving these issues is crucial for promoting its wider adoption among farmers, presenting it as a more effective sustainable rice cultivation method globally. Diverse traditional and contemporary breeding methods are employed to mitigate the limitations of the DSR approach, leveraging advanced techniques such as speed breeding and genome editing. Focusing on key traits like mesocotyl length elongation, early seedling vigor, root system architecture, and weed competitiveness holds promise for transformative improvements in DSR adaptation at a broader scale within farming communities. This review aims to summarize how these features contribute to increased crop production in DSR conditions and explore the research efforts focusing on enhancing DSR adaptation through these traits. Emphasizing the pivotal role of these game-changing traits in DSR adaptation, our analysis sheds light on their potential transformative impact and offers valuable insights for advancing DSR practices.

Background:Gymnema lactiferum is an edible leafy vegetable plant in the family of *** has been used to control diabetes in the northern part of Sri Lanka for several decades and used as a leaf vegetable from the ancient ***,this plant was not clinically tested for its claimed antidiabetic ***,this study was conducted in Teaching Hospital Jaffna to establish the efficacy of the ***:The objective of this parallel arm,double-blind randomised controlled phase III trial is to establish the efficacy and safety of Gymnema ***:Eligible type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients at the Diabetic Centre,Teaching Hospital Jaffna,Sri Lanka were randomly allocated to treatment(n=160)and control(n=160)*** treatment arm received a tea brew made of *** dried leaves(1.5 g in 200 mL of hot water)while the control arm received green tea(1.5 g in 200 mL of hot water)daily for 3 *** patients in both arms were reviewed at the baseline and the end of 1st,3rd and 6th months for FPG,HbA1c,blood pressure,body weight and lipid ***:Statistically significant reductions in HbA1c(treatment arm:-0.47%,P=0.0000;control arm-0.26%,P=0.0009)and FPG(the control arm:−0.42 mmol/L,P=0.0388)from the base values were observed at the end of the 3rd *** the subgroup analysis that evaluated the participants with poorly controlled glycemia(HbA1c≥8),which accounted for over 52%of all participants,a clinically significant reduction in HbA1c was observed in the treatment and control arms(-0.90%;P=0.0000 and-0.71%;P=0.0000).Post-intervention analysis revealed a long-lasting significant reduction in HbA1c in both ***,significant reductions in blood pressure and lipid profile were also noted at the end of the third month and post-intervention ***:*** tea significantly reduced HbA1c in uncontrolled T2DM patients and the effect observed was superior to green ***-term treatment is need

This paper studies the effect of the irrotational viscous pressure on Kelvin-Helmholtz instability of the plane interface of two viscous and incompressible fluids in a fully saturated porous media with mass and heat transfers across the interface. In the earlier work, the instability of the plane interface of two viscous and streaming miscible fluids through porous media was studied by assuming that the motion and the pressure are irrotational and the viscosity enters the normal stress balance. This theory is called the viscous potential flow theory. Here, we use another irrotational theory in which the discontinuities in the irrotational tangential velocity and shear stress are eliminated in the global energy balance by considering viscous contributions of the irrotational pressure. The Darcy-Brinkman model is used in the investigation and the stability criterion is formulated in terms of a critical value of the relative velocity. It is observed that the heat and mass transfer has a destabilizing effect on the stability of the system while the irrotational shearing stresses stabilize the system.

Contrasting lipid biomarkers in mountain rivers in the Nepal Himalayas: Organic matter characteristics and contribution to the fluvial carbon pool

The Nepal Himalayas is the source of many glacial and spring-fed river systems crisscrossing the mountainous *** is an increasing recognition of small mountain rivers(SMRs)to have a significant combined export of dissolved and particulate organic carbon to the global carbon *** analyzed fluvial sediments from two SMRs and compared the results with two large mountain rivers(LMRs)in *** investigated the organic matter(OM),its compositional variability,and seasonal export using a suite of lipid biomarkers,namely n-alkanes,n-alkanoic acids,n-alkanols,and *** SMRs indicated a similarity in lipid distribution and were affected by a strong seasonal *** LMRs showed a distinct contrast in the distribution of lipids in suspended *** sediments in SMRs were derived from diverse sources with weak terrigenous dominance all-year-round compared to the suspended *** lipids(n-alkanoic acids and n-alkanols)were the major constituents in SMR sediments,indicating better *** contrast,n-alkane concentration dominated over other fractions in suspended sediments retrieved from *** biomarker trends differentiate SMRs from LMRs with lower transformed/degraded OM in SMRs.A common observation was the strong presence of even carbon compounds in short-chain n-alkanes in SMR bedload sediments and their predominance in suspended sediments in *** an unusual trend is attributed to specific biomarker sources from the catchment and ongoing processes in fluvial *** colonized by fungal species under moist acidic conditions and autochthonous bacteria contributes to the organic matter pool in shallow *** LMRs,the contribution from thermally mature sedimentary hydrocarbons and the diagenetic reduction of nalkanoic acids to n-alkanes are additional contributors to the allochthonous carbon *** differences in lipid concentrations,their distribution,seasonality,and the size of rivers suggest differential

Ten mg dexrabeprazole daily has been shown to be more effective than 20 mg rabeprazole daily against gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This report shows that the efficacy of 10 mg dexrabeprazole daily is equivalent to that of 20 mg dexrabeprazole daily against GERD. This implies that a dose of 10 mg dexra- beprazole is sufficient to block the maximum amount of proton pumps without any need to double the dose as suggested with rabeprazole.

A distributed generation system(DG)has several benefits over a traditional centralized power ***,the protection area in the case of the distributed generator requires special attention as it encounters stability loss,failure re-closure,fluctuations in voltage,*** thereby,it demands immediate attention in identifying the location&type of a fault without delay especially when occurred in a small,distributed generation system,as it would adversely affect the overall system and its *** the past,several methods were proposed for classification and localisation of a fault in a distributed generation *** of those methods were accurate in identifying location,but the accuracy in identifying the type of fault was not up to the acceptable *** proposed work here uses a shallow artificial neural network(sANN)model for identifying a particular type of fault that could happen in a specific distribution network when used in conjunction with distributed ***,a distribution network consisting of two similar distributed generators(DG1 and DG2),one grid,and a 100 Km distribution line is ***,different voltages and currents corresponding to various faults(line to line,line to ground)at different locations are tabulated,resulting in a matrix of 500×18 ***,the sANN is formulated for identifying the types of faults in the system in which the above-obtained data is used to train,validate,and test the neural *** overall result shows an unprecedented almost zero percent error in identifying the type of the faults.

DeConverter is core software in a Universal Networking Language(UNL) system.A UNL system has EnConverter and DeConverter as its two major *** is used to convert a natural language sentence into an equivalent UNL expression,and DeConverter is used to generate a natural language sentence from an input UNL *** paper presents design and development of a Punjabi *** describes five phases of the proposed Punjabi DeConverter,i.e.,UNL parser,lexeme selection,morphology generation,function word insertion,and syntactic *** paper also illustrates all these phases of the Punjabi DeConverter with a special focus on syntactic linearization issues of the Punjabi *** linearization is the process of defining arrangements of words in generated *** algorithms and pseudocodes for implementation of syntactic linearization of a simple UNL graph,a UNL graph with scope nodes and a node having un-traversed parents or multiple parents in a UNL graph have been discussed in this *** cases of syntactic linearization with respect to Punjabi language for UNL relations like 'and','or','fmt','cnt',and 'seq' have also been presented in this *** paper also provides implementation results of the proposed Punjabi *** DeConverter has been tested on 1000 UNL expressions by considering a Spanish UNL language server and agricultural domain threads developed by Indian Institute of Technology(IIT),Bombay,India,as *** proposed system generates 89.0% grammatically correct sentences,92.0% faithful sentences to the original sentences,and has a fluency score of 3.61 and an adequacy score of 3.70 on a 4-point *** system is also able to achieve a bilingual evaluation understudy(BLEU) score of 0.72.
