In Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks(UWSNs),the most important challenging issues are propagation delay,high error probability,high latency,high communication cost,limited bandwidth,limited memory,low packet delivery ratio,and transmission *** our proposed work,the various efforts are taken to minimize the propagation delay and transmission loss during data transmission in an underwater environment.A hybrid mechanism is implemented to improve energy efficiency for faster data transmission in underwater *** the underwater environment of acoustic channel condition,propagation delay and transmission loss lead to high complexity in accessing the information and also it is difficult to obtain the Channel Status Information(CSI).To address this problem,Ant Colony Optimization(ACO)routing with Markov Chain Monte Carlo(MCMC)algorithm is used and to capture the transmission loss in the MCMC approach,CSI Forecast Prediction(FP)algorithm is *** experimental simulations are evaluated by utilizing the performance evaluation metrics such as Transmission Loss,Probability Density Function,Average Delay and *** the simulation results it is evident that the proposed algorithm,ACO-MCMC has recorded the minimum transmission loss,increase in probability density function,minimum average delay and maximum throughput of the network when compared to the existing algorithms.

Evaluation of Cytotoxicity and Genotoxicity of Insecticide Carbaryl to Flounder Gill Cells and Its Teratogenicity to Zebrafish Embryos

In this study, we determined the cytotoxicity and genotoxicity of carbamate insecticide carbaryl to flounder gill （FG） cells and its teratogenicity to zebrafish embryos. The cytotoxicity of carbaryl to FG cells was determined with methods including MTT and neutral red uptaking （NRU）, lactate dehydrogenase （LDH） releasing and Hoechst 33342 and propidiurn idodide （PI） double staining. Moderate cytotoxicity in a concentration-dependent manner was observed. The 24h-IC50 value of 53.48 ± 1.21, 59.13 ± 1.19 and 46.21 ± 1.24 mgL 1 carbaryl was obtained through MTT, NRU and LDH assays, respectively. Double fluorescence staining dem- onstrated that carbaryl induced the death of FG cells mainly through necrosis. There was no significant genotoxicity found in the FG cells exposed to the highest testing concentration of carbaryl （20mgL-1, P〉0.05） as was demonstrated by Comet assay. Zebrafish embryos exposed to carbaryl at concentrations 〉10 mg L-1 displayed moderate toxic effects on the survival, spontaneous movement, hatching, heart rates of the embryos and their development, which were evidenced by yolk and pericardial sac edemas, body length reduction and tail flexure in time- and concentration-dependent manners at specific stages. The 24h-, 48h- and 96h-LC50 values of carbaryl to zebra fish embryos were 41.80 ± 1.10, 17.80 ± 1.04 and 14.46 ± 1.05 mg L-1, respectively. These results suggested that car- baryl is moderately toxic to FG ceils cultured in vitro and zebrafish embryos, and the FG cells were similar to zebrafish embryos in their sensitivity to carbaryl as 24h-IC50 and LC50 indicated.

While many techniques have been developed for the design of different types of antennas,such as wire antenna,patch antenna,lenses,and reflectors,these cannot be said general-purpose strategies for the synthesis and design of antennas to achieve the performance characteristics specified by ***,there has been an increasing need for the development of antenna design techniques because of the advent of 5 G and a variety of space,defense,biological,and similar applications,for which a robust and general-purpose design tool is not to be *** main objective of this study is to take a look at antenna design from the field manipulation point of view,which has the potential to partially fulfill this *** review the existing field manipulation techniques,including field transformation methods based on Maxwell’s and wave equations,point out some limitations of these techniques,and then present ways to improve the performance of these ***,we introduce an alternative approach for field manipulation based on two-dimensional(2 D)metasurfaces,and present laws of the generalized reflection and refraction that are based on 2 D surface ***,we explore how to overcome the limitations of conventional reflection and refraction processes that are strictly bounded by the critical ***,we provide some application examples of field manipulation methods in the antenna design,with a view on developing a general-purpose strategy for antenna design for future communication.

BS-SC Model:A Novel Method for Predicting Child Abuse Using Borderline-SMOTE Enabled Stacking Classifier

For a long time,legal entities have developed and used crime prediction *** techniques are frequently updated based on crime evaluations and responses from scientific *** is a need to develop type-based crime prediction methodologies that can be used to address issues at the subgroup *** maltreatment is not adequately addressed because children are *** a result,the possibility of developing a model for predicting child abuse was investigated in this *** exploratory analysis methods were used to examine the city of Chicago’s child abuse *** data set was balanced using the Borderline-SMOTE technique,and then a stacking classifier was employed to ensemble multiple algorithms to predict various types of child *** proposed approach successfully predicted crime types with 93%of accuracy,precision,recall,and *** AUC value of the same was ***,when compared to the Extra Trees model(17.55),which is the second best,the proposed model’s execution time was significantly longer(476.63).We discovered that Machine Learning methods effectively evaluate the demographic and spatial-temporal characteristics of the crimes and predict the occurrences of various subtypes of child *** results indicated that the proposed Borderline-SMOTE enabled Stacking Classifier model(BS-SC Model)would be effective in the real-time child abuse prediction and prevention process.

Non-edible oils obtained from chosen non-conventional woody plants are considered as potential raw materials for biodiesel *** plants mostly grow in *** characteristics of these oils as raw material are very much in tune with the properties of biodiesel such as long-chain hydrocarbon,having an adequate level of unsaturation with branched *** primary methods are being followed to make biodiesel from vegetable *** are direct use through blending,microemulsion,thermal cracking(pyrolysis)and ***-edible oil would eliminate the issue of food vs *** biodiesel manufactured from oils of woody plants may partially reduce the demand for liquid-fuel energy and addresses the environmental consequences of using fossil *** from a total of 17 species of woody plants(Angiosperms)belonging to 14 families are considered in this *** habit,habitat and geographical distribution of each species are also *** physico-chemical properties of their oil,with special reference to the fatty-acid profile that ultimately decides the characteristics of the biodiesel prepared from them,are reviewed.

Virtualization is the backbone of cloud computing,which is a developing and widely used *** and merging identical memory pages,memory deduplication improves memory efficiency in virtualized *** Same Page Merging(KSM)is a Linux service for memory pages sharing in virtualized *** deduplication is vulnerable to a memory disclosure attack,which uses covert channel establishment to reveal the contents of other colocated virtual *** avoid a memory disclosure attack,sharing of identical pages within a single user’s virtual machine is permitted,but sharing of contents between different users is *** our proposed approach,virtual machines with similar operating systems of active domains in a node are recognised and organised into a homogenous batch,with memory deduplication performed inside that batch,to improve the memory pages sharing *** compared to memory deduplication applied to the entire host,implementation details demonstrate a significant increase in the number of pages shared when memory deduplication applied batch-wise and CPU(Central processing unit)consumption also increased.

An on-board charger for efficiently charging multiple battery-operated electric vehicles(EVs)is *** has evolved as a single-input dual-output(SIDO)integrated boost-single ended primary inductor converter(SEPIC)fly-back converter,offering cost-effectiveness,reliability,and higher efficiency compared to conventional chargers with equivalent *** proposed system includes an additional regulated output terminal,in addition to an existing terminal for charging the EV battery of a 4-wheeler,which can be used to charge another EV battery,preferably a *** the aid of control techniques,unity power factor operations are obtained during constant-voltage(CV)/constant-current(CC)charging for the grid-to-vehicle(G2V)operating *** mathematical modelling analysis,the proposed system is developed in a Matlab/Simulink environment,and the results are validated in a real-time simulator using *** proposed system is employed for charging the batteries of two EVs with capacities of 400 V,40 A·h and 48 V,52 A·h for the 4-wheeler and 2-wheeler,*** performance is investigated under different operating modes and over a wide range of supply voltage variations to ensure safe and reliable operation of the charger.
