Vehicular ad hoc network is a solution for increasing road traffic ***-safety messages are sent during the service channel *** slots during which the messages are sent are not decided prior to the *** the reservation of slots is done during the control channel interval,then the non-safety messages can be transmitted without any collision and thus the network performance can be ***,to improve the network performance,the safety packets can be scheduled in the queue according to the time remaining for which sender and receiver are in the range of each *** work proposes and evaluates the performance of safety message scheduling and infotainment message reservation through a MAC protocol SSIR-MAC to ensure network stability by transmitting beacons without any *** safety messages are queued according to their deadline and the slots for the transmission of non-safety packets are reserved during the control channel ***,a hybrid queue is proposed to decrease the delay of enqueue and dequeue *** through extensive simulation results demonstrates the strength of *** are made with IEEE 802.11p standard and with two existing protocols which are relevant to the proposed work.

The computation of facial profile from dental morphometrics has been a subject of great interest in forensic *** use of teeth to draw a profile and facial features is valuable in times of mass disasters when body remains are unavailable due to extreme *** study aims to identify and evaluate applicable parameters in the permanent maxillary central incisors and the face of an individual.A correlation of these parameters establishes a mathematical equation that further charts a tooth‑facial profile *** soft and hard tissue landmarks on the face in the frontal and the lateral profiles(using standardized photographs)and seven landmarks on the facial/labial surface of the clinical crown of the permanent maxillary central incisor(using casts of the maxilla)were identified for the *** on these,a set of eight horizontal and seven vertical parameters on the face and four parameters on the tooth were created for the *** and external correlations between the two were carried out and statistically analyzed.A logistic regression was made to predict the probability of the parameters most likely to be reproduced in the creation of the facial profile,based on tooth *** results indicated a definite correlation between the facial and the tooth *** the multiple parameters,a definite correlation in the horizontal dimension could be established between the mouth width and the mesiodistal width(MDW)of the *** the vertical dimension,a definite relationship existed between the crown height of the tooth and the width of the midface(zygoma‑mandible).There exist divergences in the correlation of tooth and facial parameters.

An efficient methodology for the synthesis of 2,3-disubstituted 3H-quinazolin-4-ones is described via one-pot three component reaction from anthranilic acid using T3 p as catalyst. Diagnostic performance of C-reactive protein level and its role as a potential biomarker of severe dengue in adults

Objective: To determine the relationship between C-reactive protein(CRp) level and the severity of dengue and the potential use of CRp in predicting acute dengue ***: A prospective observational study was performed on dengue patients admitted to a tertiary care hospital in southern India. All patients of age above 18 years, diagnosed with dengue were included in the study. The detailed laboratory parameters pertaining to dengue were recorded. CRp levels were estimated and compared between groups i.e. severe and non-severe dengue. CRp cut-off value was detected using the receiver-operator ***: Totally 98 patients with a mean age of 40 years were included. Among them, 11.2% of the patients suffered from severe dengue, 54.1% of the cases had non-severe dengue without warning signs, and 34.7% had non-severe dengue with warning signs. The median CRp was significantly higher in patients with severe dengue compared to patients with non-severe dengue(96.2 mg/d L vs. 5.3 mg/d L). Univariate logistic regression analysis showed that the odd’s ratio(OR) of CRp was 1.053(p≤0.001, 95% CI=1.029-1.078). CRp at a cutoff value of 21.6 mg/L(0.929 AUC) had excellent sensitivity(100%) and specificity(81.6%) in predicting severe dengue infection. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that CRp(OR=1.089, p=0.013) and ALT(OR=1.010, p=0.034) were statistically significant independent predictors of dengue ***: CRp level could be used as a potential biomarker to predict severity of dengue in adults.
