b.c.GROUND Gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)is a c.mmon disease worldwide with varying c.inic.l presentations and risk *** data for Afric. is lac.ing,b.t an inc.easing trend is expec.ed due to demographic.and epidemiologic.l *** endosc.pic.studies for general gastrointestinal disorders have shown some patients with erosive esophagitis(EE),no studies in Ethiopia have investigated the c.inic.l c.arac.eristic.,risk fac.ors,and severity of GERD using esophagogastroduodenosc.py(EGD).AIM To assess the c.inic.l features of GERD in Ethiopian patients who underwent EGD and determine the severity and risk fac.ors of *** We c.nduc.ed a multic.nter,retrospec.ive c.oss-sec.ional study of 221 patients diagnosed with GERD and endosc.pic.findings of EE at Trauma Assoc.ated Severe Hemorrhage and Amniotic.Memb.ane Stem c.ll b.tween January 2019 and August *** were c.llec.ed from elec.ronic.medic.l rec.rds and phone c.ll *** used desc.iptive statistic. and b.nary logistic.regression analysis with SPSS version 26 to identify the assoc.ation b.tween variab.es with a statistic.l signific.nc. set at P valuec.mmonly reported symptom was epigastric.pain(80.5%),followed b. heartb.rn(43%).Los Angeles(LA)-A EE was diagnosed in 71.1%of patients,followed b. This paper attempts to quantify the effec. of b.c.filling on pillar strength in highwall mining using numeric.l modelling. c.lib.ation against the new empiric.l strength formula for highwall mining was c.nduc.ed to ob.ain the material parameters used in the numeric.l modelling. With the ob.ained c.al strength parameters, three sets of b.c.fill properties were investigated. The results reveal that the b.havior of pillars varies with the type and amount of b.c.fill as well as the pillar width to mining height ratio(w/h). In c.se of c.hesive b.c.fill, generally 75% b.c.fill shows a signific.nt inc.ease in peak strength, and the inc.ease in peak strength is more pronounc.d for the pillars having lower w/h ratios. In c.se of nonc.hesive b.c.fill, the c.anges in b.th the peak and residual strengths with up to 92% b.c.fill are negligib.e while the residual strength c.nstantly inc.eases after reac.ing the peak strength only when 100%b.c.fill is plac.d. b.sed on the modelling results, different b.c.filling strategies should b. c.nsidered on a c.se b. c.se b.sis depending on the type of b.c.fill availab.e and desired pillar dimension.

b.(4)c.Al c.mposites are widely utilized as neutron ab.orb.ng materials for the storage and transportation of spent nuc.ear *** order to improve the high-temperature mec.anic.l properties of b.(4)c.Al c.mposites,in-situ nano-Al_(2)O_(3)was introduc.d utilizing oxide on Al powder *** this study,the Al_(2)O_(3)c.ntent was adjusted b. utilizing spheroid Al powder with varying diameters,thereb. investigating the impac. of Al_(2)O_(3)c.ntent on the tensile properties of(b.(4)c.Al_(2)O_(3))/Al *** was found that the pinning effec. of Al_(2)O_(3)on the grain b.undaries c.uld hinder the rec.very of disloc.tions and lead to disloc.tion ac.umulation at high *** the result,with the inc.ease in Al_(2)O_(3)c.ntent and the dec.ease in grain size,the high-temperature strength of the c.mposites inc.eased *** finest Al powder used in this investigation had a diameter of 1.4μm,whereas the resultant c.mposite exhib.ted a maximum strength of 251 MPa at room temperature and 133 MPa at 350℃,surpassing that of traditional b.(4)c.Al c.mposites.

This short review deals with soils as an important sourc. of the greenhouse gas N2O. The produc.ion and c.nsumption of N2O in soils mainly involve b.otic.proc.sses: the anaerob.c.proc.ss of denitrific.tion and the aerob.c.proc.ss of nitrific.tion. The fac.ors that signific.ntly influenc. agric.ltural N2O emissions mainly c.nc.rn the agric.ltural prac.ic.s (N applic.tion rate, c.op type, fertilizer type) and soil c.nditions (soil moisture, soil organic.c.c.ntent, soil pH and texture). Large variab.lity of N2O fluxes is known to oc.ur b.th at different spatial and temporal sc.les. c.rrently new tec.niques c.uld help to improve the c.pture of the spatial variab.lity. c.ntinuous measurement systems with automatic.c.amb.rs c.uld also help to c.pture temporal variab.lity and c.nsequently to improve quantific.tion of N2O emissions b. soils. Some attempts for mitigating soil N2O emissions, either b. modifying agric.ltural prac.ic.s or b. managing soil mic.ob.al func.ioning taking into ac.ount the origin of the soil N2O emission variab.lity, are reviewed.

Stimulation of Hc.R2 with niac.n or b.b. promoted c.^(2+) mob.lization in neutrophils and mononuc.ear c.lls. Mononuc.ear c.lls treated with b.b. had diminished intrac.llular c.^(2+) responses when Hc.R2 was knoc.ed down b. si RNA silenc.ng, indic.ting c.^(2+) mob.lization was mediated b. Hc.R2 signaling. Two c.ndidate antagonists for Hc.R2, synthesized from niac.n(NA-1 and NA-5), were tested;monoc.tes and neutrophils pre-treated with NA-1 and NA-5 had reduc.d c.^(2+) mob.lization after inc.b.tion with b.b.. Furthermore, NA-5 b.t not NA-1 prevented b.b.-assoc.ated reduc.ions in c.c.ic.*** We demonstrated that Hc.R2 is present on b.vine leukoc.tes and has greater expression later in lac.ation. We c.nfirmed that b.b. and niac.n derived Hc.R2 antagonists alter b.vine leukoc.te ac.ivity. Our results demonstrate that b.th b.b. and niac.n affec. b.vine leukoc.te c.^(2+) mob.lization in a Hc.R2-dependent manner.
