Phase Change Materials(PCMs)have high thermal inertia,and hemp concrete(HC),a bio-based concrete,has strong hygroscopic *** previous studies,PCM has been extensively combined with many materials,however,most of these studies focused on thermal properties while neglecting hygroscopic *** this study,the two materials have been combined into a building envelope and the related hygrothermal properties have been *** particular,numerical studies have been performed to investigate the temperature and relative humidity behavior inside the HC,and the effect of adding PCM on the hygrothermal behavior of the *** results show that there is a high coupling between temperature and relative humidity inside the HC,since the relative humidity changes on the second and third days are different,with values of 8%and 4%,***,the variation of relative humidity with temperature indicates the dominant influence of temperature on relative humidity *** the presence of PCM,the temperature variation inside the HC is damped due to the high thermal inertia of the PCM,which also leads to suppression of moisture evaporation and thus damping of relative humidity *** the second and third days,the temperature changes at the central position are reduced by 4.6%and 5.1%,compared to the quarter *** the relative humidity change,the reductions are 5.3%and 5.4%on the second and third days,***,PCM,with high thermal inertia,acts as a temperature damper and has the potential to increase the moisture buffering capacity inside the *** makes it possible for such a combined envelope to have both thermal and hygric inertia.

The main objective of this investigation is to valorize a Moroccan crop residue(Sabra fibers,Agave Americana L.)and to compare with Alfa fibers(,Stipa tenacissima L.)as reinforcement in an elastomeric matrix in term of the relaxation properties,mechanical and rheological *** preparation and properties of these two natural fibers embedded in Styrene-Butadiene Rubber(SBR)are presented with and without the addition of Styrene-Ethylene-Butadiene-Styrene grafted with Maleic Anhydride(SEBS-g-MA)as a coupling *** different series(SBR,SBR/Alfa,SBR/Alfa/SEBS,SBR/Sabra and SBR/Sabra/SEBS)were compounded by extrusion and compression *** a result,the addition of the coupling agent in the elastomeric matrix improves the relaxation properties,mechanical and rheological ***,Sabra fibers show the good results compared to Alfa ***,the Zener model was used to determine the rheological time response of the composites.A good agreement between the experimental data and the model was observed(R^2=0.99).

The perfect combination of renewable energy and desalination technologies is the key to meeting water demands in a cost-effective,efficient and environmentally friendly *** desalination technique by humidificationdehumidification is non-conventional approach suitable for areas with low infrastructure(such as rural and decentralized regions)since it does not require permanent *** this study,this technology is implemented by using solar energy as a source of thermal power.A seawater desalination unit is considered,which consists of a chamber with two evaporators(humidifiers),a wetted porous material made of a corrugated cellulose cardboard and a condenser(dehumidifier).The evaporation system is tested with dry bulb temperature and relative air humidity *** results of numerical simulations indicate that higher inlet air velocities(from 0.75 to 3 m/s)lead to a decrease in theΔT,ΔRH,and *** the air remaining within the evaporator for 30 cm,the temperature differential increases to 5.7°C,accompanied by a 39%rise in relative humidity *** changes result in a significant enhancement in humidification efficiency,achieving a remarkable efficiency level of 78%.However,a wettability value of 630 m^(2)/m^(3)leads to a smaller reduction of these *** the pad thickness,particularly to 0.3 m,improves performance by boostingΔT,ΔRH,and effectiveness,especially for pads with a wettability of 630 m^(2)/m^(3),for which superior performances are predicted by the numerical tests.

Polypropylene （PP） matrix composites reinforced with chemically treated Almond Shell （AS） particles with and without compatibilizer （PP-g-MA） was prepared by a twin-screw extrusion at loading of 20 wt.% AS particles. Two types of chemical treatments （alkali treatment with sodium hydroxide and etherification with dodecane bromide） of the particles were carried out to improve the interface adhesion between particles and PP matrix. Results show that chemical modifications of AS particles affect the mechanical and viscoelastic properties of AS/PP composites. The composites reinforced with alkali treated particles and the compatibilized matrix lead to a notable increase in the Young＇s modulus （14%） compared to the composites with untreated AS particles. The ductility of composite was also evaluated by the yield strain, and results show a notable increase （31%） compared to that of composites with untreated particles. The thermal stability increased with the use of etherification （385 ℃）, with gains in the temperature up to 23 ℃ compared to neat PP （362 ℃）. The achieved results show that the AS/PP composites can be used in several applications. A thermoplastic matrix compsite mixed with treated AS particles appears to be a good alternative to obtain environmentally friendly products.

The cactus is a plant that grows in many rural areas,widely used as a hedge,and has multiple benefits through the manufacture of various cosmetics and other ***,this crop has been suffering for some time from the attack of the carmine scaleDactylopius opuntia(Hemiptera:Dactylopiidae).The infestation can spread rapidly if not treated in the early *** solutions consist of regular field checks by the naked eyes carried out by *** major difficulty is the lack of experts to check all fields,especially in remote *** addition,this requires time and *** the need for a system that can categorize the health level of cacti *** date,deep learning models used to categorize plant diseases from images have not addressed the mealy bug infestation of cacti because computer vision has not sufficiently addressed this *** there is no public dataset and smartphones are commonly used as tools to take pictures,it might then be conceivable for farmers to use them to categorize the infection level of their *** this work,we developed a system called CactiVIT that instantly determines the health status of cacti using the Visual image Transformer(ViT)*** also provided a new image dataset of cochineal infested cacti.1 Finally,we developed a mobile application that delivers the classification results directly to farmers about the infestation in their fields by showing the probabilities related to each *** study compares the existing models on the new dataset and presents the results *** VIT-B-16 model reveals an approved performance in the literature and in our experiments,in which it achieved 88.73%overall accuracy with an average of+2.61%compared to other convolutional neural network(CNN)models that we evaluated under similar conditions.

Objective:To evaluate the effect of aqueous leaf extract of Cistus ladaniferus(***) on glycemic and lipidemic status in diabetic ***:Overnight fasted rats were injected intraperitoneally with streptozotocin(45 mg/kg) to induce experimental *** aqueous extract of the leaves of *** was administered orally at the dose of 500 mg/kg body weight to diabetic rats for a period of 28 *** effect,body weight,oral glucose tolerance,change in lipid parameters,urea,creatinine,aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase levels of diabetic rats treated with aqueous extract were evaluated in experimental ***:Administration of 500 mg/kg of *** extract to diabetic rats for 28 days resulted in a significant reduction in the levels of blood glucose,alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,urea and ***,the extract of *** improved glucose tolerance in diabetic rats,and its antidiabetic effect was similar to the one obtained with *** hypolipidemic effect was demonstrated by an important decrease in plasma total cholesterol,triglycerides and low density lipoprotein-cholesterol ***:It is concluded that *** leaf extract showed an antidiabetic activity in experimental diabetes which was similar to the one obtained with glibenclamide.

We consider a system of N particles living on the noncommutative plane in the presence of a confining potential and study its thermodynamics properties. Indeed, after calculating the partition function, we determine the corresponding internal energy and heat capacity where different corrections are obtained. In analogy with the magnetic field case, we define an effective magnetization and study its susceptibility in terms of the noncommutative parameter θ.By introducing the chemical potential, we investigate the Bose-Einstein condensation for the present system. Different limiting cases related to the temperature and θ will be analyzed as well as some numerical illustration will be presented.
