The main problem of new crude oil reserves is the incipient increase of heavy crude oils in the American continent, i.e. UsA, Mexico, Canada and Venezuela. These types of crude oils require several treatments before refining. One of these treatments can be hydrocracking. In this petroleum refining process, it is possible to modify the heavy crude oils to light crude oils. In this paper, we try to use hydrocracking to improve the quality of raw heavy crude oil, through some chemical transformations C-H binding rupture using a catalyst containing active metals such as tungsten and zirconium (W-Zr). After the crude oil was hydrocracked in presence of this novel bimetallic catalyst, the hydrocracked products showed lower content of asphaltenes, resins, sulfur and nitrogen. Also positive changes in the viscosity of crude oil measured as a decreasing of this value were observed. The American petroleum Institute (ApI) gravity was significantly increased 6 units. Consequently, all these changes confirmed that the upgrading of the heavy crude oil was successful.

Real-World Evidence in localized pancreatic: Coping with Uncertainty in Unselected populations

Background: localized pancreatic cancer, including resectable (R), borderline resectable (BR) and locally advanced unresectable disease (lAU), is considered in clinical guidelines for diverse treatment options based on clinical trials in selected populations. Hence, exploring with real world evidence (RWE) clinicians’ preferences for treatment options and their results seems pertinent. Methods: In a set of consecutive patients with localized pancreatic cancer assisted in a third level hospital from January 2013 to December 2022, medical records, symptoms, diagnostic process, distribution between subtypes, and treatment plans, with safety and efficacy results, were assessed. Results: A total of 152 patients with localized disease were included (43.4% R, 21.0% BR, 33.6% lAU). The population characteristics exemplified differences between daily practice and clinical trials. Tumor location and symptoms were as expected. Treatment plan was conditioned by ps or comorbidities in 23.0% of patients. In patients with R disease, surgery followed by different adjuvant chemotherapy (CT) regimes was the antineoplastic treatment of choice (64.8%) with efficacy results (Os 37.5 months;95% CI 18.4 - 56.7), in the range of contemporary standards. The common use of neoadjuvant CT for BR disease (94.4%), with surgery in 50% of them, and its results (Os 30.8 months;95% CI 10.5 - 51.2) reflected current controversies of treatment recommendations and evolution in this scenario. paliative CT with or without radiotherapy was the standard specific treatment in lAU disease (95.1%) with survival results (pFs: 10.8 months;95% CI 8.8 - 12.7. Os: 20.3 months;95% CI 13.5 - 27.2) that justify the distinct character and the specific study of this entity. Conclusion: RWE for localized pancreatic cancer aroused from the analysis of this population confirms the distinct nature of patients assisted in daily practice, as well as mirrors the complexity of decision making in clinical assumptions in which a

The objective of the present study was to evaluate the physicochemical properties, presence of water and aflatoxin M1, as well as the effect of the time of year (dry or rainy season) to value the quality and safety of conventional and organic raw milk samples. samples were collected of conventional (n = 12) and organic (n = 11) raw milk from Tizayuca, Hidalgo and from Tuxpan, Veracruz, respectively. Infrared spectrophotometry and other analytical techniques were employed, approved by the International Dairy Federation for the analysis of the physicochemical properties, the cryoscopy technique for the detection of water addition, and high performance liquid chromatography for the determination of aflatoxin M1. Results showed that there are no significant differences in the components of conventional milk in the season of the year, whereas in organic milk a significant difference (p 0.05) was observed in acidity during the seasons of the year (rainy and dry), as well as a decrease in the percentage of lactose in the dry season, with a significant difference (p 0.05). The means of the cryoscopic point of the milk samples complied with the limits established in the Mexican Official Norm (–0.530, –0.560°H) for milk and no effect was found of the time of year on this variable. Of the milk samples, 50% of the conventional milk and 54.55% of organic milk were above the maximum limits permitted for aflatoxin M1, established in Mexico (0.5 μg·Kg-1).

In this report,we show that hyperspectral high-resolution photoluminescence mapping is a powerful tool for the selection and optimiz1ation of the laser ablation processes used for the patterning interconnections of subcells on Cu(Inx,Ga1-x)se2(CIGs)*** this way,we show that in-depth monitoring of material degradation in the vicinity of the ablation region and the identification of the underlying mechanisms can be ***,by analyzing the standard p1 patterning line ablated before the CIGs deposition,we reveal an anomalous emission-quenching effect that follows the edge of the molybdenum groove *** further rationalize the origins of this effect by comparing the topography of the p1 edge through a scanning electron microscope(sEM)cross-section,where a reduction of the photoemission cannot be explained by a thickness *** also investigate the laser-induced damage on p1 patterning lines performed after the deposition of *** then document,for the first time,the existence of a short-range damaged area,which is independent of the application of an optical aperture on the laser *** findings pave the way for a better understanding of p1-induced power losses and introduce new insights into the improvement of current strategies for industry-relevant module interconnection schemes.

studies on litterfall and decomposition provide estimations of decomposition rates of different *** is key information to understanding ecosystem dynamics and changes in a scenario of global *** objective of this research was to assess litterfall production,the potential deposition of macro and micronutrients through leaf and twig fall as well as macronutrient—use efficiency in three forest ecosystems at different altitudes： a pine forest mixed with deciduous species（s1）; a Quercus ***（s2）; and,a Tamaulipan thornscrub forest（s3）.Total annual litterfall deposition was 594,742 and 533 g m^（-2） for s1,s2 and *** litter was higher （68%） than twigs（18%）,reproductive structures（8%） or miscellaneous material（6%）.Micronutrient leaf deposition was higher for Fe followed by Mn,Zn and *** leaf deposition was higher for Ca followed by K,Mg and *** though p deposition in leaves and twigs was lower than other macronutrients,its nutrient use efficiency was higher than Ca,Mg or *** and species composition determine litter and nutrient deposition,with higher values at mid-altitudes（550 m）.Altitude is an important factor to consider when analyzing litter production as well as nutrient deposition as shown in this *** production and nutrient deposition are expected to change in a scenario of global warming.

The phenotypic variation and its distribution among species,morphotypes,and among and within populations was estimated in 71 populations pertaining to 15 morphotypes of three domesticated species of Capsicum from *** were made in the states of sinaloa,Nayarit,Oaxaca,Tabasco,and Yucatán in two agroecosystems:Backyard-garden and *** phenotypic characteristics were analyzed through one-way variance analysis and multivariate analyses of principal components analysis(pCA)and hierarchical clustering using Ward’s *** study was performed in a uniform greenhouse experiment.A high variation was found among and within populations in all the measured *** the total variation,13.0%was distributed among species,27.9%among morphotypes,8.1%among populations,and 51.0%within *** plants grew in a uniform environment,these results indicate that the differences observed among and within species,morphotypes,and populations have a genetic *** and multivariate analyses clearly differentiated morphotypes,suggesting that the category of morphotypes must be used to nominate the infraspecific variation in the domesticated *** principal components analysis identified a total of 15 principal components that contributed to explain the total *** first two components explained 59.64%of the total variation and seven components explained more than 90%of the total *** the measured characteristics,number of seed per fruit,weight of the fruit,width of the fruit,length of the fruit,stem diameter,days to flowering,and height of the plant contributed to component 1 variation,whereas width of the leaf,length of the leaf,and number of locules,number of fruits and number of seeds per plant contributed to component *** hierarchical clustering separated the populations and the morphotypes in two large different *** group consisted of populations collected in monoculture conditions and the oth
