The spatial distribution of beams with orbital angular momentum in the far field is known to be extremely sensitive to angular aberrations,such as astigmatism,coma and *** poses a challenge for conventional beam optimization strategies when a homogeneous ring intensity is required for an *** developed a novel approach for estimating the Zernike coefficients of low-order angular aberrations in the near field based solely on the analysis of the ring deformations in the far field.A fast,iterative reconstruction of the focal ring recreates the deformations and provides insight into the wavefront deformations in the near field without relying on conventional phase retrieval *** output of our algorithm can be used to optimize the focal ring,as demonstrated experimentally at the 100 TW beamline at the Extreme Light Infrastructure-Nuclear Physics facility.

BACKGrOUND Open dislocation of the glenohumeral joint is a very rare complication with only six cases described in the literature. Most cases resulted in severe complications like avascular necrosis of the humeral head or septic arthritis with poor functional results. The "mandatory" treatment of choice is surgery, with accurate debridement and reconstruction of the damaged soft tissues. However, the results in these cases do not approach those seen in classical *** SUMMArY This case report is the first description of an anterior open glenohumeral dislocation without associated fractures, but with complete avulsion of the soft tissue envelope of the proximal humerus. Surgical treatment consisted of copious lavage with saline solution, meticulous debridement of the nonviable soft tissues,reduction of the dislocated humeral head and reconstruction of the soft tissue envelope of the humeral head. The selected surgical approach was an inferior extension of the wound at the level of the delto-pectoral groove, as the best choice to be able to perform an adequate debridement and capsulo-tendinous reinsertion. At 6 mo there were no clinical signs of instability of the glenohumeral joint, the functionality of the joint was restricted to 90o of anterior elevation,internal rotation to L2, with severe limitation of abduction(60o) and external rotation(0o) but without residual pain, with an Oxford shoulder Score of *** Thorough reconstruction of the soft tissues surrounding the shoulder joint and an early rehabilitation program are key points to a good functional result.

Developing effective and long-term treatment strategies for rare and complex neurodegenerative diseases is challenging. One of the major roadblocks is the extensive heterogeneity among patients. This hinders understanding the underlying disease-causing mechanisms and building solutions that have implications for a broad spectrum of patients. One potential solution is to develop personalized medicine approaches based on strategies that target the most prevalent cellular events that are perturbed in patients. Especially in patients with a known genetic mutation, it may be possible to understand how these mutations contribute to problems that lead to neurodegeneration. Protein–protein interaction analyses offer great advantages for revealing how proteins interact, which cellular events are primarily involved in these interactions, and how they become affected when key genes are mutated in patients. This line of investigation also suggests novel druggable targets for patients with different mutations. Here, we focus on alsin and spastin, two proteins that are identified as “causative” for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and hereditary spastic paraplegia, respectively, when mutated. Our review analyzes the protein interactome for alsin and spastin, the canonical pathways that are primarily important for each protein domain, as well as compounds that are either Food and Drug Administration–approved or are in active clinical trials concerning the affected cellular pathways. This line of research begins to pave the way for personalized medicine approaches that are desperately needed for rare neurodegenerative diseases that are complex and heterogeneous.

Lot of people seem to think that English language is difficult to learn. They talk about that; tweet about that; blog about that. Every thought seems to be an accepted fact. But is it true？ And if it is, why that？ In my paper I try to find the proper answers to these key-questions, and in the same time to tackle the definition of the Teacher in role from Wikipedia：＂If the role of a teacher is to teach, the role of a student must be to learn. However, it has been agreed that learning is not only an exercise in reading and reciting facts, but in gaining a deeper insight of events and situations. [...], a teacher does not only teach and learn the ＂what＂ but also the ＂why＂ and ＂how＂.
