Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is considered as the much traditional, adaptableand unconventional machining process that is proficient in generating complicated structures. Further, it is self-sufficient over the mechanical properties of workpiece materialsonly if it is conductive. The viability of the EDM process regarding the application typesmight get considerably improved with the constant enhancement in the personificationof numerical control and the metal removal efficacy. This survey intends to make a reviewof 65 papers related to the optimization and modeling of EDM process machining. Theanalysis is thus made with regards to the following factors like Al alloy composite in DieShrinking EDM, Optimization and Al metal matrix composites. Particularly, the hybridoptimization models in various papers are analyzed concerning their logic. Further, thealgorithmic and parametric analysis is also made with the contributed papers. Finally,the research gaps and challenges in this EDM processing are discussed, which wouldpave the way for efficient research works in this area.

Abstract The potential of Trichoderma reesei for cellulase production using pineapple waste as substrate has been investigated. A maximum cellulase activity of 9.23 U/mL is obtained under the optimum experimental conditions： pH （5.5）, temperature （37.5℃）, initial substrate concentration （3%）, inoculum concentration （6.6 X 108 CFU/mL）, and culture time （6 days）. Box-Behnken design （BBD） statistical tool and genetic algorithm （GA） are used to optimize the process parameters. The BBD study of linear and quadratic interactive effects of experimental variables on the desired response of cellulase activity showed that the second order polynomial is significant （r2 = 0.9414）. The experimental cellulase activity under the optimal conditions identified by the BBD is 9.23 U/mL and that by GA is 6.98 U/mL. This result indicates that the BBD model gives better result than GA in the present case.

The aim of the present study was to screen cardioactive herbs from Western Ghats of India. The heart beat rate （HBr） and blood flow during systole and diastole were tested in zebrafish embryos. We found that Cynodon dactylon （C. dactylon） induced increases in the HBr in zebrafish embryos with a HBr of （3.968±0.344） beats/ s, which was significantly higher than that caused by betamethosone [（3.770±0.344） beats/s]. The EC50 value of C. dactylon was 3.738 μg/mL. The methanolic extract of Sida acuta （S. acuta） led to decreases in the HBr in zebrafish embryos [（1.877 ±0.079） beats/s], which was greater than that caused by nebivolol （positive control）. The EC50 value of Sida acuta was 1.195 μg/mL. The untreated embryos had a HBr of （2.685±0.160） beats/s at 3 d post fertilization （dpf）. The velocities of blood flow during the cardiac cycle were （2,291.667 ±72.169） μm/s for the control, （4,250± 125.000） μm/s for C. dactylon and （1,083.333±72.169） μm/s for S. acuta. The LC50 values were 32.6 μg/mL for C. dactylon and 20.9 μg/mL for S. acuta. In addition, the extracts exhibited no chemical genetic effects in the drug dosage range tested. In conclusion, we developed an assay that can measure changes in cardiac function in response to herbal small molecules and determine the cardiogenic effects by microvideography.

The present study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of lanthanum(La^(3+))-doped calcium nanoferrites(CaLa_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4):x=0.025,0.050,0.075 and 0.100)using the sonochemical *** techniques were employed to analyze the effect of La^(3+)infusion,raman spectroscopy confirms the presence of active A_(1g),T_(2g)and E_g modes in the CaLa_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4)nanoferrite,indicating the formation of an active ferrite *** introduction of La^(3+)doping results in a significant increase in the band gap energy,rendering the nanoferrites insulating(3.23-3,57 eV).At higher frequencies,the impedance studies reveal minimal losses and better AC conductivity,pointing to improved dielectric *** higher frequencies,the Q-factor of La-doped calcium nanoferrites shows lower electromagnetic *** M-H curve exhibits ferromagnetic behavior,with La^(3+)-doped calcium nano ferrites displaying a saturation magnetization ranging from 12.72 to 18.10 emu/*** incorporation of La^(3+)also induces enhanced electrical polarization,leading to notable dielectric loss and increased absorption of electromagnetic ***,these CaLa_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4)nanoferrites demonstrate potential as effective microwave absorbers across a wide frequency range,with significant shielding absorption observed at 8.8-9.1 GHz.

Isolation of a small molecule with anti-MrSA activity from a mangrove symbiont Streptomyces ***-1 and its biomedical studies in Zebrafish embryos

Objective:The aim of the present study was to isolate the anti-MrSA(Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus)molecule from the Mangrove symbiont Streptomyces and its biomedical studies in Zebrafish ***:MrSA was isolated from the pus samples of Colachal hospitals and confirmed by amplification of mecA ***-MrSA molecule producing strain was identified by!6s rrNA gene ***-MrSA compound production was optimized by Solid State Fermentation(SSF)and the purification of the active molecule was carried out by TLC and *** inhibitory concentration and LC_(50)were calculated using Statistical software *** Biomedical studies including the cardiac assay and organ toxicity assessment were carried out in ***:The bioactive anti-MrSA small molecule A,was purified by TLC with rf value of 0.37 with 1.389 retention time at *** Inhibitory Concentration of the purified molecule A_2 was 30μg/mL but,the inhibitory concentration of the MrSA in the infected embryo was 32-34μg/mL for TLC purified molecule A,with LC_(50)mean value was61.504μg/*** toxicity was assessed in 48-60μg/mL by observing the physiological deformities and the heart beat rates(HBr)of embryos for anti MrSA molecule showed the mean of 41.33-41.67 HBr/15 seconds for 40μg/mL and control was 42.33-42.67 for 15 seconds which significantly showed that the anti-MrSA molecule A_2 did not affected the ***:Anti-MrSA molecule from Streptomyces sp PVrK-I was isolated and biomedical studies in Zebrafish model assessed that the molecule was non toxic at the minimal inhibitory concentration of MrSA.

Non-enzymatic biosensors based on mixed transition metal oxides are deemed as the most promising devices due to their high sensitivity,selectivity,wide concentration range,low detection limits,and excellent *** NiCo2O4 mixed oxides have drawn considerable attention recently due to their outstanding advantages including large specific surface area,high permeability,short electron,and ion diffusion *** of the rapid development of non-enzyme biosensors,the current state of methods for synthesis of pure and composite/hybrid NiCo2P4 materials and their subsequent electrochemical biosensing applications are systematically and comprehensively reviewed *** analysis reveals better electrochemical sensing of bioanalytes by one-dimensional and two-dimensional NiCo2O4 nano-/microstructures than other *** biosensing efficiency of NiCo2O4 as compared to corresponding individual metal oxides,*** and Co3O4,is attributed to the close intrinsic-state redox couples of Ni3+/Ni2+(0.58 V/0.49 V) and Co3+/Co2+(0.53 V/0.51 V).Biosensing performance of NiCo2O4 is also significantly improved by making the composites of NiCo2O4 with conducting carbonaceous materials like graphene,reduced graphene oxide,carbon nanotubes(single and multi-walled),carbon nanofibers;conducting polymers like polypyrrole(PPy),polyaniline(PANI);metal oxides NiO,Co3O4,SnO2,MnO2;and metals like Au,Pd,*** factors affecting the morphologies and biosensing parameters of the nano-/microstructured NiCo2O4 are also ***,some drawbacks and future perspectives related to this promising field are outlined.

role of inter-particle collision on solids acceleration in riser

Collision among particles plays a significant role in governing the structure of gas-solids flow in a riser, especially in the dense and acceleration region. The inter-particle collision is the major cause not only for the kinetic energy dissipation （in terms of additional pressure drop beyond the solids hold-up） but also for the control of solids acceleration （in terms of a balancing force to prevent a free acceleration of solids）. A neglect of the balancing force of inter-particle collision against the hydrodynamic force in the solids momentum equation would simply overestimate the solids acceleration or concentration while underestimate the axial gradient of pressure along the riser by a large margin, typically by up to two orders of magnitude. This paper aims to illustrate the importance of the collision on the characteristic of the gas-solids riser flow. Our analysis shows that the collision force should be of the same order of magnitude as that of the drag force in the dense and acceleration region, which can be far beyond that of gravitational force on solids. A simple formulation of the collision force is therefore proposed to bear a similar format of drag force, with regard to the dependence upon local solids *** the inclusion of the proposed correlation of collision force in the solids momentum equation, our model would be able to yield reasonable phase distributions of gas-solid flows, which can be validated, in a bulk range, against available measurements of solids volume fraction and axial gradient of pressure.
