With an aim to improve the transient stability of a DFIG wind farm penetrated multimachine power system(MPN),an adaptive fractional integral terminal sliding mode power control(AFITSMPC)strategy has been proposed for the unified power flow controller(UPFC),which is compensating the *** proposed AFITSMPC controls the dq-axis series injected voltage,which controls the admittance model(AM)of the *** a result the power output of the DFIG stabilizes which helps in maintaining the equilibrium between the electrical and mechanical power of the nearby *** the rotor angular deviation of the respective generators gets recovered,which significantly stabilizes the *** proposed AFITSMPC for the admittance model of the UPFC has been validated in a DFIG wind farm penetrated 2 area 4 machine power system in the MATLAB *** robustness and efficacy of the proposed control strategy of the UPFC,in contrast to the conventional PI control is vindicated under a number of intrinsic operating conditions,and the results analyzed are satisfactory.

This paper proposes a pattern recognition based differential spectral energy protection scheme for ac microgrids using a Fourier kernel based fast sparse time-frequency representation(SST or simply the sparse S-Transform).The average and differential current components are passed through a change detection filter,which senses the instant of fault inception and registers a change detection point(CDP).Subsequently,if CDP is registered for one or more phases,then half cycle data samples of the average and differential currents on either side of the CDP are passed through the proposed SST technique,which generates their respective spectral energies and a simple comparison between them detects the occurrence and type of the *** SST technique is also used to provide voltage and current phasors and the frequency during faults which is further utilized to estimate the fault *** proposed technique as compared to conventional differential current protection scheme is quicker in fault detection and classification,which is least effected from bias setting,has a faster relay trip response(less than one cycle from fault incipient)and a better accuracy in fault *** significance and accuracy of the proposed scheme have been verified extensively for faults in a standard microgrid system,subjected to a large number of operating conditions and the outputs vindicate it to be a potential candidate for real time applications.

Introduction:The disruptions in the ectodermal layer during intrauterine growth in the process of the formation of epidermal ridges can be linked to the association between dermatoglyphics and abnormalities of the tooth and *** the genetic linkage of periodontal disease this study was hypothesized at observing the association of chronic periodontitis,aggressive periodontitis,and individuals with healthy periodontium as per the 1999 AAP classification of periodontitis with their fingerprint patterns and ridge *** and Methods:Patients belonging to an age cohort of 18-50 who visited the department of periodontics and implantology were included in the ***’periodontal status was determined and was enrolled in the study.A total of 114 subjects were compared,where 38 subjects belonged to the individual group of periodontal condition that are designated as Group A(healthy),Group B(chronic periodontitis),and Group C(aggressive periodontitis).A total of 1140 fingerprints were *** were analyzed and classified according to their patterns and also the ridges were ***:The comparison between three groups showed a statistically significant difference between increased percentage frequency of radial loops(28%)in chronic periodontitis and plain whorls(26.3%)in aggressive *** was a significant difference between ridge count among all the three groups,the highest being in healthy and the least between aggressive periodontal ***:Observations of the study show that there was a difference in fingerprint pattern between patients of all the three periodontal conditions indicating a link between epidermal ridges and condition of periodontium.

We present detailed characterization of laser-driven fusion and neutron production(-10^(5)/second) using 8 mJ, 40 fs laser pulses on a thin(rement suite. At relativistic intensity(~ 5 × 10^(18)W/cm^(2))and high repetition rate(1 kHz), the system produces deuterium±deuterium(D-D) fusion, allowing for consistent neutron generation. Evidence of D-D fusion neutron production is verified by a measurement suite with three independent detection systems: an EJ-309 organic scintillator with pulse-shape discrimination, a ~3He proportional counter and a set of 36 bubble detectors. Time-of-flight analysis of the scintillator data shows the energy of the produced neutrons to be consistent with 2.45 MeV. Particle-in-cell simulations using the WarpX code support significant neutron production from D-D fusion events in the laser±target interaction region. This high-repetition-rate laser-driven neutron source could provide a low-cost, on-demand test bed for radiation hardening and imaging applications.

This study presents the formulation,the numerical solution,and the validation of a theoretical framework based on the concept of variable-order mechanics and capable of modeling dynamic fracture in brittle and quasi-brittle *** specifically,the reformulation of the elastodynamic problem via variable and fractional-order operators enables a unique and extremely powerful approach to model nucleation and propagation of cracks in solids under dynamic *** resulting dynamic fracture formulation is fully evolutionary,hence enabling the analysis of complex crack patterns without requiring any a priori assumption on the damage location and the growth path,and without using any algorithm to numerically track the evolving crack *** evolutionary nature of the variable-order formalism also prevents the need for additional partial differential equations to predict the evolution of the damage field,hence suggesting a conspicuous reduction in complexity and computational ***,the variable-order formulation is naturally capable of capturing extremely detailed features characteristic of dynamic crack propagation such as crack surface roughening as well as single and multiple *** accuracy and robustness of the proposed variableorder formulation are validated by comparing the results of direct numerical simulations with experimental data of typical benchmark problems available in the literature.

It is generally believed that a thermally grown oxide (TOO) layer of alumina provides enhanced protection to the metallic bond coat in thermal barrier coating (TBC) systems at elevated temperatures. However, in an air-plasma-sprayed (APS) TBC system with Co-32Ni-21Cr-8Al-0.5Y (wt%) bond coat, the TGO layer formed upon thermal exposure in air was predominantly chromia and spinels, which would not effectively protect the bond coat at above 1000°C. In addition, mixed oxides of chromia, spinel and nickel oxide formed heterogeneously between the ceramic coating and CoNiCrAlY bond coat, which would promote crack initiation and lead to premature TBC failure. A heat treatment in a low-pressure condition was applied to the as-sprayed TBC system, with the aim to produce an alumina layer as well as reduce the amount of detrimental oxides. The influence of this low-pressure oxidation treatment (LPOT) on the bond coat cyclic oxidation behaviour of the TBC system was also investigated.

Biodegradable Behavior of Waste Wool and Their recycled Polyester Preforms in Aqueous and Soil Conditions

Present study deals with the biodegradable behavior of individual components and their preforms of nonwoven biocomposites developed from waste wool fibers including coring wool(CW),dorper wool(DW)and recycled polyester fibers(rPET).A respirometric technique was employed to estimate the production of CO_(2) during the biodegradation experiments under soil and aqueous media *** groups of test samples before and after biodegradation were analyzed using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIr).Leaching chemicals such as formaldehyde(hydrolyzed)and Chromium VI(Cr VI)was also *** CO_(2) emission in wool fibers CW and DW indicated 90%and 60%biodegradation in soil burial and aqueous media conditions respectively,for 100 days *** fibers,20%and 10%biodegradation in soil burial and aqueous media conditions was measured respectively while the preforms of waste wool and rPET reflected 30%and 25%biodegradation in soil burial and aqueous media conditions,*** degradation of end functional groups such as carbonyl(keto and ester),aldehyde and hydroxyl were also confirmed by *** DW and CW wool fibers showed higher Cr(VI)concentration as compared to the *** released formaldehyde results showed higher concentration for rPET preforms as compared to waste wool *** results suggest that waste wool preforms are extremely environment friendly as compared to rPET ***,waste wool preforms it can be potentially utilized for preparing biocomposite materials and associated biobased products.
