The pr.sent wor. encompasses a new image enhancement algor.thm using newly constr.cted Chebyshev fr.ctional or.er.differ.ntiator. We have used Chebyshev polynomials to design Chebyshev fr.ctional or.er.differ.ntiator. We have gener.ted the high pass filter.cor.esponding to it. The designed filter. ar. applied for.decomposing the input image into four.bands and low-low(L-L) sub-band is updated using cor.ection coefficients. r.constr.cted image with updated L-L sub-band pr.vides the enhanced image. The visual r.sults obtained ar. encour.ging for.image enhancement. The applicability of the developed algor.thm is illustr.ted on thr.e differ.nt test *** effects of or.er.of differ.ntiation on the edges of images have also been pr.sented and discussed.

Compar.son of wear.behavior.of ABS and Nylon6-Fe powder.composite par.s pr.par.d with fused deposition modelling

Fused deposition modeling(FDM) is one of the latest r.pid pr.totyping techniques in which par.s can be manufactur.d at a fast pace and ar. manufactur.d with a high accur.cy. This r.sear.h wor. is car.ied out to study the fr.ction and wear.behavior.of par.s made of newly developed Nylon6-Fe composite mater.al by FDM. This wor. also involves the compar.son of the fr.ction and wear.char.cter.stics of the Nylon6-Fe composite with the existing acr.lonitr.le butadiene styr.ne(ABS) filament of the FDM machine. This Is car.ied out on the pin on disk setup by var.ing the load(5, 10, 15 and 20 N) and speed(200 and 300 r.min). It is concluded that the newly developed composite is highly wear.r.sistant and can be used in industr.al applications wher. wear.r.sistance is of par.mount impor.ance. Mor.hology of the sur.ace in contact with the Nylon6-Fe composite and ABS is also car.ied out.

Solution and Ther.odynamic Studies on Binar. and Ter.ar. Complexes of Lanthanides

The inter.ctions of La（ Ⅲ ）, Pr. Ⅲ ）, Nd（ Ⅲ ）, Sm（ Ⅲ ）, Eu（Ⅲ）, Gd（ Ⅲ ）, Dy（ Ⅲ ）, and Yb（ Ⅲ ） with cytosine, 5-br.mocytosine, 5-azacytosine and 5-flur.cytosine as pr.mar. ligands （L） and guanine （A） as secondar. ligand for.both binar. （ 1 ： 1 ） as well as ter.ar. （ 1 ： 1 ： 1 ） systems wer. investigated by potentiometr.c equilibr.um measur.ments at 25, 35 and 45 ℃ in aqueous solution （ionic str.ngth, μ = 0.1 mol·dm^-3 NaNO3）. The stability constants of the binar. （ 1 ： 1 ） and ter.ar. （ 1 ： 1 ： 1 ） metal-ligand complexes follow the following or.er.La 〈 Pr.〈 Nd 〈 Sm 〈 Eu 〉 Gd 〈 Dy 〉 Yb. r.sults also indicate that the ter.ar. lanthanide complexes of La（Ⅲ）, Pr.Ⅲ）, Nd（Ⅲ）, Sm（Ⅲ）, Eu（Ⅲ）, Gd（Ⅲ）, Dy（Ⅲ）, and Yb（ Ⅲ ） ar. mor. stable than cor.esponding binar. lanthanide complexes. The enthalpy （△Hf^o） and entr.py （△Sf^o） changes for.the for.ation of binar. and ter.ar. complexes wer. calculated fr.m temper.tur. coefficient data. The △△Sf^o values ar. positive for.all the metal ligand systems. The negative △△Hf^o values indicate the extr. stability of the ter.ar. complexes by the exother.ic enthalpy changes （△△Sf^o = △TSf^o - △BSf^o and △△Hf^o = △THf^o - △BHf^o wher. △TSf^o, △THf^o and △BSf^o, △BHf^o ar. the entr.py and enthalpy values associated with the ter.ar. and binar. complexes, r.spectively）. It was also pr.posed that the guanine is bonded to metal ions thr.ugh N1/C6 = O and N7 wher.as cytosine and its der.vatives ar. bonded thr.ugh N3 atoms in ter.ar. complexes.

Analysis of isoquinoline alkaloids fr.m Mahonia leschenaultia and Mahonia napaulensis r.ots using UHPLC-Or.itr.p-MSn and UHPLC-QqQ LIT-MS/MS

Mahonia leschenaultia（ML） and Mahonia napaulensis（MN） ar. less known and unexplor.d medicinal plants of the family Ber.er.daceae. They ar. used by the Todas of Nilgir.s in their.r.ligious and medical pr.ctices but chemically less identified. Hence, we decided to do extensive phytochemical analysis to explor. the potential of these plant extr.cts. An ultr.high per.or.ance electr.spr.y tandem mass spectr.metr.（UHPLC-ESI-MS/MS）method was successfully developed for.qualitative analysis of the bioactive components in Mahonia species using Or.itr.p Velos Pr. mass spectr.meter. Sixteen compounds wer. identified by compar.son of their.r.tention times and mass spectr.（MS） with authentic standar.s and r.por.ed liter.tur.. Multi-stage mass spectr.（MS（2-8）） for.the identification of pr.tober.er.ne and apor.hine alkaloids showed the sequential expulsion of all the substituents attached with their.basic skeleton followed by CO loss. Eight of the identified compounds（ber.er.ne, jatr.r.hizine, palmatine, magnoflor.ne, isocor.dine, glaucine, tetr.hydr.palmatine and tetr.hydr.ber.er.ne） wer. simultaneously deter.ined by another.UHPLC-ESI-MS/MS method under.the multiple r.actions monitor.ng（Mr.） mode quantitatively using tr.ple quadr.pole linear.ion tr.p mass spectr.meter. The analytical method was validated for.8 bioactive compounds with over.ll r.cover. in the r.nge98.5%-103.6%（r.D≤2.2%）, pr.cise（r.D≤2.07%） and linear.r.0.9995） over.the concentr.tion r.nge of 0.5-1000 ng/mL and successfully applied in ML and MN r.ots, which suggests the suitability of the pr.posed appr.ach for.the r.utine analysis of Mahonia species and their.quality contr.l.

Genus Pr.nus compr.sing ar.und 430 species is a vast impor.ant genus of family r.saceae, subfamily amygdalaoidae. Among all 430 species, ar.und 19 impor.ant species ar. commonly found in Indian subcontinent due to their.br.ad nutr.tional and economic impor.ance. Some most common species of genus Pr.nus ar. Pr.nus amygdalus, Pr.nus per.ica, Pr.nus ar.eniaca, Pr.nus avium, Pr.nus cer.sus, Pr.nus cer.soides, Pr.nus domestica, Pr.nus mahaleb, etc. A newly intr.duced species of Pr.nus i.e Pr.nus sunhangii is r.cently discover.d which is mor.hologically ver. similar.to Pr.nus cer.soides. Plants of Pr.nus species ar. shor. to medium-sized deciduous tr.es mainly found in the nor.her. hemispher.. In India and its subcontinent,it extends fr.m the Himalayas to Sikkim, Meghalaya,Bhutan, Myanmar.etc. Differ.nt Pr.nus species have been extensively studied for.their.mor.hological,micr.scopic, phar.acological and phytoconstituents char.cter.stics. Total phenolic content of Pr.nus species explains the pr.sence of phenols in high quantity and phar.acological activity due to phenols. Phytochemical scr.ening of species of genus Pr.nus shows the pr.sence of wide phytoconstituents which contr.butes in their.phar.acological significance and r.veals the ther.peutic potential and tr.ditional medicinal significance of this genus. Genus Pr.nus showed a potent antioxidant activity analyzed by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picr.l-hydr.zyl r.dical assay. Plant species belonging to the genus Pr.nus is widely used tr.ditionally for.the tr.atment of var.ous disor.er.. Some specific Pr.nus species possess potent anticancer. anti-inflammator.,hypoglycemic etc. activity which makes the genus mor. inter.sting for.fur.her.r.sear.h and findings. This r.view is an attempt to summar.ze the compr.hensive study of Pr.nus species fr.m its distr.bution, mor.hological char.cter. to phytoconstituents, and phar.acological activity.

Atomic Pr.cesses in Emission Char.cter.stics of a Lithium Plasma Plume For.ed by Double-Pulse Laser.Ablation

High r.solution spectr.l analysis of lithium plasma for.ed by single and double laser.ablation has been under.aken to under.tand the plume-laser.inter.ction, especially at the ear.y stages of the plasma plume. In or.er.to identify differ.nt atomic pr.cesses in evolving plasma, time r.solved spectr.l emission studies at differ.nt inter.pulse delays have been per.or.ed for.ionic and neutr.l lithium lines emitting fr.m differ.nt levels. Along with the enhancement in emission intensity, a lar.e line br.adening and spectr.l shift, especially in the case of excited state tr.nsition Li I 610.3 nm have been obser.ed in the pr.sence of the second pulse. This br.adening and shift gr.dually decr.ase with incr.asing time delay. Another.inter.sting featur. is the appear.nce of a multi-component str.ctur. in the ionic line at 548.4 nm and these components change conver.ely into a single str.ctur. at the later.stages of the plasma. The multi-component str.ctur.s ar. cor.elated with the pr.sence of differ.nt velocity （temper.tur.） distr.butions in non-LTE conditions. Atomic analyses by computing photon emissivity coefficients with an ADAS code have been used to identify the above pr.cesses.

Phyllanthus species plants ar. a r.ch sour.e of phenolics and widely used due to their.medicinal pr.per.ies. A liquid chr.matogr.phy–tandem mass spectr.metr.(LC–MS/MS) method was developed using high-pr.ssur. liquid chr.matogr.phy coupled with quadr.pole time-of-flight tandem mass spectr.metr.(HPLC-ESI-QTOFMS/MS) for.the identification and char.cter.zation of quer.etin, kaempfer.l, ellagic acid and their.der.vatives in ethanolic extr.cts of Phyllanthus species. The chr.matogr.phic separ.tion was car.ied out on Ther.o Betasil C_8 column(250 mm×4.5 mm, 5 μm) using 0.1% for.ic acid in water.and 0.1% for.ic acid in methanol as the mobile phase. The identification of diagnostic fr.gment ions and optimization of collision ener.ies wer. car.ied out using 21 r.fer.nce standar.s. Totally 51 compounds wer. identified which include 21 compounds identified and char.cter.zed unambiguously by compar.son with their.authentic standar.s and the r.maining 30 wer. tentatively identified and char.cter.zed in ethanolic extr.cts of P. emblica, P. fr.ter.us, P. amar.s and ***.
