In this work the structura.,electronic a.d thermoelectric properties of YbMg_(2)X_(2)(X=P,a.,Sb,Bi)zintl compounds were investiga.ed comprehensively using first principles *** electronic properties were studied using PBE GGa.TB-mBJ a.d hybrid(YS-PBE0)*** the structura. pa.a.eters of optimized structures a.e in ha.monious a.reement to the a.a.la.le *** ba.d structure study illustra.es tha. the titled ma.eria.s ma.ifest meta.lic a.d semi meta.lic na.ure using PBE a.d TB-mBJ potentia.s while they show wide ba.d ga. semiconducting beha.ior by following hybrid(YS-PBE0)*** density of sta.es(TDOS)a.d pa.tia. density of sta.es(PDOS)were a.so ca.cula.ed to glimpse the contribution of orbita.s of a.oms in the forma.ion of *** properties were studied by using BoltzTra.2 code employed to *** get enormous va.ues of Seebeck coefficient(S),power fa.tor(PF)a.d thermoelectric figure of merit(ZT)for a.l the sa.ples YbMg_(2)X_(2)(X=P,a.,Sb,Bi),Moreover,the overwhelming tra.sport properties for the titled compounds indica.e the optimum level of ca.riers’concentra.ion which pinpoints these ma.eria.s to be better thermoelectrics in the 1-2-2 zintl fa.ily.
