This paper presents the complete mathematical model and predicts the performance of switched reluctance generator with time average and small signal models. The complete mathematical model is developed in three stages. First, a switching model is developed based on quasi-linear inductance profile. Next, based on the switching behaviour, a time average model is obtained to measure the difference between the excitation and generation time in each switching cycle. Finally, to track control voltage and current wave shapes, a small signal model is designed. The effectiveness of the complete multilevel model combining electrical machine, power converter, load and control with programming language is demonstrated through simulations. A PI controller is used for controlling the voltage of the generator. The results presented show that the controller exhibits accurate tracking control of load voltage under different operating conditions. This demonstrates that the proposed model is able to perform an accurate control of the generated output voltage even in transient situations. The simulation is performed to choose the control parameters and study the performance of switched reluctance generator prior to its actual implementation. Initial experimental results are presented using NI-Data acquisition card to control the output power according to load requirements.

Poisson's equation is solved numerically by two direct methods, viz. Block Cyclic reduction (BCr) method and Fourier Method. Qualitative and quantitative comparison between the numerical solutions obtained by two methods indicates that BCr method is superior to Fourier method in terms of speed and accuracy. Therefore. BCr method is applied to solve (?)2(?)= ζ and (?)2X= D from observed vorticity and divergent values. Thereafter the rotational and divergent components of the horizontal monsoon wind in the lower troposphere are reconstructed and are com pared with the results obtained by Successive Over-relaxation (SOr) method as this indirect method is generally in more use for obtaining the streamfunction ((?)) and velocity potential (X) fields in NWP models. It is found that the results of BCr method are more reliable than SOr method.

A color visualization-based image processing method is developed in this paper to quantify the concentration evolution of the Brilliant Blue FCF transport through a two-dimensional homogeneous porous medium. A series of images are recorded at known time intervals, then the spatial distribution is estimated using a calibration curve, linking the gray pixel value to the solute concentration. Using a multi-dimensional concentration distribution map extraction technique the longitudinal and transverse concentration distributions could be observed with the physical model. The image-processed concentrations are then compared directly with the measured concentrations sampled at the outlet end. The tracer breakthrough curves sampled at multiple points along the central line of the medium are also compared with the solutions from the standard advection–dispersion equation model. It is shown that the non-invasive image processing method may be used to map the spatiotemporal evolution of a solute＇s concentration without disturbing the flow or the transport dynamics, although the measured solute breakthrough curves feature some non-Fickian dynamics that cannot be efficiently captured by the standard transport model.

In this paper,a second-order singularly perturbed differential-difference equation involving mixed shifts is *** first,through Taylor series approximation,the original model is reduced to an equivalent singularly perturbed differential ***,the model is treated by using the hybrid finite difference scheme on different types of layer adapted meshes like Shishkin mesh,Bakhvalov–Shishkin mesh and Vulanovi′c ***,the hybrid scheme consists of a cubic spline approximation in the fine mesh region and a midpoint upwind scheme in the coarse mesh *** error analysis is carried out and it is shown that the proposed scheme is of second-order convergence irrespective of the perturbation *** display the efficacy and accuracy of the proposed scheme,some numerical experiments are presented which support the theoretical results.

目的:评价8周指导性反应平衡训练对健康老年人反应时、足部移动速度、静态平衡以及平衡信心程度的作用。方法:25名老年受试者被随机分配至反应平衡训练组(QuickBoard;n=12;71.0±8.6岁)或固定足部自行车训练组(对照组;n=13;70.2±6.0岁)。两组均进行足部反应时、足部移动速度、静态平衡以及平衡信心程度测试。测试时间分别为训练前(基线)、4周训练后、8周训练后及完成训练4周以后随访。结果:两组足部反应时和移动速度均有显著改善,且QuickBoard组提高幅度更大。在静态平衡表现上两组无显著差异。结论:尽管改善反应时和足部移动速度有助于预防跌倒,但本研究对如何预防跌倒及提高日常生活质量的意义尚不明确。

Application of plant growth-promoting bacteria(PGPB)is an environmentally sustainable option to reduce the effects of abiotic and biotic stresses on plant growth and *** 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid(ACC)deaminase-producing drought-tolerant bacteria were isolated from a rain-fed agriculture field in the Central Himalaya of Kumaun region,Uttarakhand,India and evaluated for their efficiency in improving finger millet(Eleusine coracana(L.)Gaertn.)plant growth under non-stressed and drought-stressed *** bacteria withstood a substrate metric potential of -1.0 MPa(30% polyethylene glycol 8000)and therefore were considered *** strains were identified as Pseudomonas *** fatty acid methyl ester analysis and 16S rrNA gene *** ACC deaminase activity of these strains was characterized at the biochemical level,and the presence of acd S gene,the structural gene for ACC deaminase,was confirmed by the polymerase chain *** sets of pot trials in glass house were set up,one for normal(non-stressed)and the other for drought-stressed *** 5 weeks,one set of plants was subjected to drought stress for 5 d,while the other set continued to be *** same growth parameters were recorded for both sets of plants after 40 d of plant *** results of pot trials showed that treatments inoculated with ACC deaminase-producing bacterial strains significantly improved the growth performance of finger millet plants and foliar nutrient content as compared to uninoculated treatments under both non-stressed and drought-stressed *** addition,a significant increase in antioxidant activity was observed,wherein bacterial stain inoculation improved plant fitness by protecting it from oxidative damage induced by drought.
