Effect of Sr_(2) TiMnO_(6) fillers on mechanical, dielectric and thermal behaviour of PMMA polymer

Composites of poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA)and Sr_(2) TiMnO_(6)(STMO)were fabricated via melt mixing followed by hot pressing *** were characterized using X-ray diffraction(XrD),thermo gravimetric analysis(TGA),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),thermo mechanical analysis(TMA)and impedance analyser for their structural,thermal and dielectric *** coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE)was measured between 40℃ and 100℃ for pure PMMA is 115.2ppm/℃,which was decreased to 78.58ppm/℃ when the STMO content was increased to 50 wt.%in *** was no difference in the glass transition(T g)temperature of the PMMA polymer and their ***,the FTIr analysis indicated possible interaction between the PMMA and *** density and the hardness were increased as the STMO content increased in the PMMA *** was found to be as high as 30.9 at 100Hz for the PMMAþSTMO-50 wt.%composites,indicating the possibility of using these materials for capacitor *** thermal stability of polymer was enhanced by incorporation of STMO fillers.

Constrained total knee prostheses are used in knees with severe deformities and insufficiency of collaterals to provide stable and mobile knees. Dislocation after constrained knee prosthesis is an extremely rare and dreaded complication. When dislocation is associated with patellar tendon rupture, the management includes restoration of the extensor apparatus along with a stable knee. repair of the patellar tendon is challenging due to poor soft tissue coverage in the area and a bulky repair can put tension on the wound closure. Ideal method of restoration of the extensor apparatus is a matter of debate. There are various modalities used ranging from primary end-to-end repair, augmentation by medial gastrocnemius flap, semitendinosus and synthetic implants and allograft tendoachilles. We report a rare case of a posterior dislocation of a constrained total knee arthroplasty in association with patellar tendon rupture due to a minor fall after a few weeks of surgery. The first episode was managed by reposition of the dislocation and V-Y plasty of the quadriceps and primary repair. The second episode of dislocation with re-rupture needed augmentation by semitendinosus along with the insertion of the thicker insert. The management of this complex problem along with the review of literature is discussed in this case reoort.

The stock market is full of events that affect the sensitivity reaction of investors at a large scale. Individual investor sentiment is just like his/her personal feeling depending upon their nature, risk appetite, and market scenario. This research study investigates the investors’ reaction in the stock market for the real estate segment during the massive market crisis in developing countries. Demonetisation of 2016 in India has been taken with the purpose of implementing a pilot study to analyse the overreaction and availability bias. The primary focus was on analysing how the investors react on the information of demonetisation and their pattern of investment in the stock market with a special emphasis on real estate sector where the effect of the event had dramatically changed the stock prices. Therefore, a pre- and post- analysis had been conducted to gauge the prices, sensitivity, and reaction of investors in the stock market. The reaction of the citizens after these events was found to be drastically affected. Five real estate companies had been focused upon in this study to examine the impact of investors’ overreaction owing to the demonetisation and their investment pattern for stocks during pre- and post- demonetisation period at that timeframe. The analysis was done on a shorter period of time so that the impact of overreaction and availability bias can be critically analysed. The paper thus exhibits how investor sentiments and reaction for stock preference had changed over time through statistical study.

Anterior cruciate ligament （ACL） reconstruction is usually recommended for young patients. Several recent articles have however reported comparable outcomes of ACL reconstruction between youth and patients in fourth or fifth age group. But in the literature there are not many reports about ACL reconstruction in patients over 70 years old. We report a case of a successful arthroscopic ACL reconstruction （using single bundle quadrupled hamstring graft） in an active 75-year-old medical practitioner. Successful outcome after ACL reconstruction can be achieved in selected older patients; chronological age is no barrier.

We present a case of tubercular arthritis who underwent numerous unnecessary investigations what is known as "victims of modern imaging technology" or VOMIT. Today there is an exponential rise in the volume of the medical imaging, part of which is contributed by unnecessary and unjustified indications. We discuss about the untoward effects of the uninhibited and careless use of modern imaging modalities and possible ways to avoid. Skeletal manifestation of the tuberculosis is still common in the endemic countries like India. Although the final diagnosis of the skeletal tuberculosis like tubercular arthritis is made by bacteriological and histological studies, few demographic, clinical and radiological features might help making early diagnosis.
