An Advanced Dynamic Scheduling for Achieving Optimal resource Allocation

Cloud computing distributes task-parallel among the various *** with self-service supported and on-demand service have rapid *** these applications,cloud computing allocates the resources dynami-cally via the internet according to user *** resource allocation is vital for fulfilling user *** contrast,improper resource allocations result to load imbalance,which leads to severe service *** cloud resources implement internet-connected devices using the protocols for storing,communi-cating,and *** extensive needs and lack of optimal resource allo-cating scheme make cloud computing more *** paper proposes an NMDS(Network Manager based Dynamic Scheduling)for achieving a prominent resource allocation scheme for the *** proposed system mainly focuses on dimensionality problems,where the conventional methods fail to address *** proposed system introduced three–threshold mode of task based on its size STT,MTT,LTT(small,medium,large task thresholding).Along with it,task mer-ging enables minimum energy consumption and response *** proposed NMDS is compared with the existing Energy-efficient Dynamic Scheduling scheme(EDS)and Decentralized Virtual Machine Migration(DVM).With a Network Manager-based Dynamic Scheduling,the proposed model achieves excellence in resource allocation compared to the other existing *** obtained results shows the proposed system effectively allocate the resources and achieves about 94%of energy efficient than the other *** evaluation metrics taken for comparison are energy consumption,mean response time,percentage of resource utilization,and migration.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of rutile-reinforced AA6061 matrix composites produced via stir casting process

A novel process of fabricating aluminium matrix composites(AMCs)with requisite properties by dispersing rutile particles in the aluminum matrix was studied.A novel bi-stage stir casting method was employed to prepare composites,by varying the mass fractions of the rutile particles as 1%,2%,3%and 4%in AA6061 *** density,tensile strength,hardness and microstructures of composites were ***-stage stir casting method engendered AMCs with uniform distribution of the reinforced rutile particles in the AA6061 *** was confirmed by the enhancement of the properties of AMCs over the parent base ***-reinforced AMCs exhibited higher tensile strength and hardness as compared with unreinforced parent *** properties of the composites were enhanced with the increase in the mass fraction of the rutile ***,beyond 3 wt.%of rutile particles,the tensile strength *** hardness and tensile strength of the AMCs reinforced with 3 wt.%of rutile were improved by 36%and 14%respectively in comparison with those of matrix alone.

Optimization of friction and wear behaviour of Al-Si_3N_4 nano composite and Al-Gr-Si_3N_4 hybrid composite under dry sliding conditions

The tribological behaviour of gravity die stir cast LM6alloy with graphite(Gr)and silicon nitride nanoparticles was ***?Gr?Si3N4hybrid composite,Al?Si3N4nanocomposite and Al?Gr nanocomposites were separately fabricated to investigate their frictional and wear characteristics under dry sliding *** was used to ensure the uniform presence of nano Si3N4and graphite in the cast.L9orthogonal array method was chosen to conduct the experiments to study the effect of different applied loads(20,30and40N)and sliding distances(1,2and3km).The results showed that the respective wear rate and coefficient of friction(COF)decreased by25%and15%for hybrid composite when compared with those of Al?Si3N4nanocomposite whereas the wear rate and COF of Al?Gr was found to be very *** micro Vickers hardness of the hybrid composite was14%more than that of the simple nanocomposite and there was not much notable variation for Al?Gr and Al?Si3N4nanocomposite *** electron microscope was used to analyze the worn surface and subsurface,from which it was noted that the predominant wear mechanisms observed were abrasive for nanocomposite and both abrasive and adhesive mechanism for hybrid *** of variance(ANOVA)and F-test were used to check the validity model and to determine the significant parameters affecting the wear rates.

Paradigm shift in transfusion practices during early COVID-19 pandemic:A single center retrospective study

BACKGrOUND The advent of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)unveiled the worst national blood crisis that the United States had witnessed in over a *** the pandemic influencing the different stages of the acquisition of blood products outside the hospital setting,we aimed to explore the possible barriers contributing to the shortage of blood products within the medical *** COVID era and pre-COVID *** We conducted a retrospective cross-sectional study on hospitalized patients distinguishing the pattern of blood transfusion during the COVID and pre-COVID era in a community *** was tabulated to include the number of red blood cell(rBC)transfusions and if transfusions met restrictive blood transfusion criteria as per institutional ***-square was applied to test the statistical association between qualitative *** t test and Mann Whitney U test were applied respectively to test the mean difference of quantitative *** A total of 208 patients were included in the study,of which 108 were during COVID era and 100 were during pre-COVID *** leading reason for admission in both the COVID era and pre-COVID era transfused patients was shortness of breath(53.7%and 36%P=0.001),followed by gastrointestinal bleeding(25.9%and 21%P=0.001).There was a higher percentage of rBC transfusions in the intensive care unit in the COVID-era group than in the pre-COVID era group(38.9%vs 22%,P=0.008).The restrictive transfusion criteria were met in 62%vs 79%in the COVID and pre-COVID eras,respectively(P=0.008).CONCLUSION The COVID-era group received rBC transfusions with less stringent adherence to restrictive blood transfusion practices in comparison to pre-COVID era group.

Binder-free heterostructure(g-C3N4/PPy) based thin film on semi-flexible nickel foam via hybrid spray technique for energy storage application

A semi-flexible binder-free graphitic carbon nitride(g-CN) intercalated polypyrrole(PPy) nanocomposite thin film was prepared via hybrid electrospray technique. A homogeneous thin film was achieved by the controlled spray process. A deposited thin film illustrated the amorphous nature of composite with high surface purity and good chemical composition. The surface analysis confirmed the smoother surface with well-defined distinct phases of g-CNand PPy matrix in the composite thin film. The electrochemical studies exhibited that a maximum areal capacity of the thin film was achieved to be 289.6 mF/cm~2 at a current density of 0.4 mA/cm~2,which is higher than that of pristine PPy(194.8 mF/cm~2). The heterostructure electrode illustrated that the life cycles of 99% could be up to 10,000 cycles with low resistance due to the synergetic effect of g-CNand PPy matrix with strong material adhesion(hybrid spray process) on the surface. A binder-free heterostructure thin film will play a significant role in the energy storage application.

Disruption recovery at Airports:Ground Holding,Curfew restrictions and an Approximation Algorithm

We study disruptions at a major *** could be caused by bad weather,for *** study is from the perspective of the airport,the air services provider(such as air traffic control)and the travelling public,rather than from the perspective of a single *** cause flights to be subjected to ground holding,or they cause the flights to violate airport curfew *** consider curfew and arrival capacities applicable at a single *** proving that the problem is NP-hard,we present a polynomial time approximation algorithm based on the primal–dual schema and show that if the problem is feasible,the algorithm finds a feasible solution that is both within a certain additive bound and within a certain multiplicative factor of the optimal *** algorithm returns a solution mix of which flights suffer no delay,which ones to be ground-held and which ones may violate the curfew(and hence pay a curfew penalty).Computational results are positive;our heuristic outperforms the integer programming solver by a wide margin.

An Overview of High-Performance Aircraft Structural Al Alloy-AA7085

AA7085 Al alloy is a new-generation,high-strength,quench-insensitive alloy that features in airframe applications such as massive bulkhead and wing spars structures in Airbus A380 and Joint Strike Fighter *** alloy has a great potential in replacing currently used high-strength AA7 xxx alloys in many international and national military aircraft programs [Hawk,Su-30,Mi G series,light combat aircraft（Tejas）,Hindustan turbo/jet trainer,light combat helicopter,advanced light helicopter,and fifth-generation fighter aircrafts].An effort has been made to highlight the processing,heat treatment,properties and applications of the AA7085 Al alloy from the existing literature on the AA7085 *** potential applications of this alloy are presented and compared with the currently used AA7075 Al alloy.A typical process cycle involved in the manufacturing of wrought AA7085 alloy products is described in ***,the precipitation mechanisms involved in the different temper conditions are critically reviewed with the supporting *** mechanical properties with a particular emphasis on tensile,fatigue,and fracture toughness properties are discussed in detail based on the analysis of experimental *** effects of temper conditions on the stress corrosion cracking and exfoliation corrosion have also been reviewed critically.
