A subacute toxicity study of a potent tetanus toxoid (250 Lf) was carried out in guinea *** toxoid was injected subcutaneously at the nape of the neck at dose levels of 1.0, *** 2.0 ml in Groups Ⅱ. Ⅲ. and Ⅳ, *** the controls (Group Ⅰ) 2.0 ml of aluminum phosphate suspension was given in each *** evaluations of body weight, food/water intake, general observable behavior, *** blood chemistry in toxoid-injected guinea pigs were similar to those in control guinea ***, the toxoid did not cause any side effects up to four times the dose proposed for humans.1990 Academic Press, Inc.

The toxic effect of fertilizer Diammonium phosphate resulted in alterations of 5'-Nucleotidase activity of tissues liver, kidney and muscles offish C. batrachus at varying intervals and exposures. Alterations in 5'-Nuclcotidase activity of body organs gave an idea of the toxicity caused by the fertilizer. Thus the enzyme 5'-Nucleotidase can be used to monitor the pollution in aquatic ecosystem.

The cross sections of the^(121)Sb(n,2n)^(120)Sb^(m) and ^(123)Sb(n,2n)^(122)Sb reactions were measured at 12.50,15.79 and 18.87 MeV neutron energies relative to the standard ^(27)Al(n,α)^(24)Na monitor reaction using neutron activation and offline γ-ray *** of the samples was performed at the BArC-TIFr Pelletron Linac Facility,Mumbai,*** quasi-monoenergetic neutrons were generated via the ^(7)Li(p,n)*** model calculations were performed by nuclear reaction codes TALYS(ver.1.9)and EMPIrE(ver.3.2.2)using various input parameters and nuclear level density *** cross sections of the ground and the isomeric state as well as the isomeric cross section ratio were studied theoretically from reaction threshold to 26 MeV *** effect of pre-equilibrium emission is also discussed in detail using different theoretical *** present measured cross sections were discussed and compared with the reported experimental data and evaluation data of the JEFF-3.3,ENDF/B-VIII.0,JENDL/AD-2017 and TENDL-2019 libraries.A detailed analysis of the uncertainties in the measured cross section data was performed using the covariance analysis ***,a systematic study of the(n,2n)reaction cross section for^(121)Sb and^(123)Sb isotopes was also performed within 14-15 MeV neutron energies using various systematic *** work helps to overcome discrepancies in Sb data and illustrate a better understanding of pre-equilibrium emission in the(n,2n)reaction channel.

A simple electromagnetic method has been presented,by dividing the input- and outputtaper sections of cavity into numbers of non-tapered circular steps,to calculate the ohmic quality factor of tapered cavity of a 42 GHz,TE-mode *** energy stored in cavity and power loss on cavity-wall, have been estimated in sinusoidal field *** the typically chosen non-tapered cavity,the calculated value of ohmic quality factor,in the present paper,was found within 4%of the results calculated using two of previously published *** validation/ comparison of results against simulation software:MAGIC have been made and found within 3%.Further,the effect of structure dimensions,namely,length of mid-section of the cavity,input-taper angle and output-taper angle,on value of the ohmic quality factor for a tapered gyrotron cavity have been *** is found that the ohmic quality factor for a tapered gyrotron cavity, other parameters remaining constant,increases with decrease of length of mid-section and input-taper angle,and with increase of output-taper *** of input- and output-taper angles,the latter was found more sensitive controlling parameter for the ohmic quality factor and hence frequency selectivity as well as ohmic heating in a tapered ***, the contours of length of mid-section and ohmic quality factor were plotted to provide flexibility to the designer in optimising the structure parameters of tapered cavity of a 42 GHz,TE-mode gyrotron.

Cerium tartrate（CeTar）,produced in this study by precipitating cerium nitrate with potassium sodium tartrate（kNaTar）,was examined as a corrosion *** loss tests show inhibition efficiency of 71.7% with Ce（NO3）3and 88.7% with CeTar inhibitor for one-month exposure to mild steel in 7 g/L NaCl *** inhibition efficiency drops to 28.6% with the fo rmer and remains around 8 7% with the latter inhibitor after six months of *** results from electrochemical testing indicate that the inhibition efficiency decreases by adding cerium ***,the cerium tartrate inhibitor demonstrates a nearly constant inhibition efficiency for up to 30 d,i.e.,≈90%.Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy（EIS） performed in these cases shows the following results:（ⅰ） with cerium nitrate,a film of iron and cerium oxide,which on prolonged exposure diminishes,and（ⅱ） with cerium tartrate,the formation of a bimetallic film（Fe-tartrate-Ce） and a mixture of cerium hydroxide and iro n oxide that protects steel for a longer *** inferences are based on the analyses of scanning electron microscopy/energydispersive X-ray analysis（SEM/EDAX）,X-ray diffraction（XrD）,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FTIr）,X-ray photoelectron（XPS）,and raman spectroscopy results.

The present work aims to develop an object tracking controller for the Stewart platform using a computer vision-assisted machine learning-based *** research is divided into two *** first module focuses on the design of a motion controller for the Physik Instrumente(PI)-based Stewart *** contrast,the second module deals with the development of a machine-learning-based spatial object tracking algorithm by collecting information from the Zed 2 stereo vision ***,simple feed-forward neural networks(NN)are used to predict the orientation of the top table of the *** training,the x,y,and z coordinates of the three-dimensional(3D)object,extracted from images,are used as the input to the *** contrast,the orientation information of the platform(that is,rotation about the x,y,and z-axes)is considered as the output from the *** orientation information obtained from the network is fed to the inverse kinematics-based motion controller(module 1)to move the platform while tracking the *** training,the optimised NN is used to track the continuously moving 3D *** experimental results show that the developed NN-based controller has successfully tracked the moving spatial object with reasonably good accuracy.

The network of Himalayan roadways and highways connects some remote regions of valleys or hill slopes,which is vital for India’s socio-economic *** to natural and artificial factors,frequency of slope instabilities along the networks has been increasing over last few *** of stability of natural and artificial slopes due to construction of these connecting road networks is significant in safely executing these roads throughout the *** rock mass classification methods are generally used to assess the strength and deformability of rock *** study assesses slope stability along the NH-1A of ramban district of North Western *** structurally and non-structurally controlled rock mass classification systems have been applied to assess the stability conditions of 14 *** evaluating the stability of these slopes,kinematic analysis was performed along with geological strength index(GSI),rock mass rating(rMr),continuous slope mass rating(CoSMr),slope mass rating(SMr),and Q-slope in the present *** SMr gives three slopes as completely unstable while CoSMr suggests four slopes as completely *** stability of all slopes was also analyzed using a design chart under dynamic and static conditions by slope stability rating(SSr)for the factor of safety(FoS)of 1.2 and 1 respectively.Q-slope with probability of failure(PoF)1%gives two slopes as stable *** slope angle has been determined based on the Q-slope safe angle equation and SSr design chart based on the *** value ranges given by different empirical classifications were rMr(37-74),GSI(27.3-58.5),SMr(11-59),and CoSMr(3.39-74.56).Good relationship was found among rMr&SSr and rMr&GSI with correlation coefficient(r 2)value of 0.815 and 0.6866,***,a comparative stability of all these slopes based on the above classification has been performed to identify the most critical slope along this road.

Nonlinear Coupling of kinetic Alfvén Waves and Ion Acoustic Waves in the Inner Heliosphere

We study the nonlinear coupling of kinetic Alfvén waves with ion acoustic waves applicable to the Earth’s radiation belt and near-Sun streamer belt solar wind using dynamical equations in the form of modified Zakharov *** simulations show the formation of magnetic field filamentary structures associated with density humps and dips which become turbulent at later times,redistributing the energy to higher *** magnetic power spectra exhibit an inertial range kolmogorov-like spectral index value of-5/3 for k_(⊥)ρ_(i)r dissipation range spectra with indices~-3 for the radiation belt case and~-4 for the nearSun streamer belt solar wind case,here k_(⊥)andρ_(i)represent the wavevector component perpendicular to the background magnetic field and the ion thermal gyroradius,*** quasilinear theory in terms of the Fokker-Planck equation in the region of wavenumber turbulent spectra,we find the particle distribution function flattening in the superthermal tail population which is the signature of particle energization and plasma heating.
