Survey of deep sub-barrier heavy-ion fusion hindrance phenomenon for positive and negative Q-value systems using the proximity-type potential

A systematic survey of the accurate measurements of heavy-ion fusion cross sections at extreme sub-barrier energies is performed using the coupled-channels(CC)theory that is based on the proximity *** work theoretically explores the role of the surface energy coefficient and energy-dependent nucleus-nucleus proxim-ity potential in the mechanism of the fusion hindrance of 14 typical colliding systems with negative Q-values,in-eluding ^(11a)B+^(197)AU,^(12)C+^(198)Pt,^(16)O+^(208)Pb,^(28)Si+^(94Mo),^(48)Ca+^(96)Zr,^(28Si+)^(64)Ni,^(58)Ni+^(58)Ni+,^(60)Ni+^(89)Y,^(12)C+^(204)Pb,^(36)S+^(64)Ni,^(36)S+^(90)Zr,^(40)Ca+^(90)Zr,^(40)Ca+^(40Ca)and ^(48)Ca+^(48)Ca,,as well as five typical colliding systems with positive Q-values,ineluding ^(12)C+^(30)Si,^24Mg+^(30)Si,^(36)Si+^(48)Ca, and ^(40)Ca+^(48)*** is shown that the outcomes based on the proximity potential along with the above-mentioned physical effects achieve reasonable agreement with the experimentally observed data of the fusion cross sections(Tfus(£),astrophysical S(E)factors,and logarithmic derivatives L(E)in the energy region far below the Coulomb barrier.A discussion is also presented on the performance of the present theoretical approach in reproducing the experimental fusion barrier distributions for different colliding systems.

The complete fusion channel of two approaching nuclei,including the interaction potential and fusion cross section,is systematically analyzed using the face-center-cubic(FCC)*** this purpose,we assume that the initial distribution of the nucleons in target and projectile nuclei is formed based on the FCC lattice ***,the density-dependent nucleon-nucleon interaction(CDM3Y6)is employed to parameterize the nuclear interactions between the participant *** obtained results for 45 fusion reactions reveal that the FCC+CDM3Y6 model is able to reproduce the corresponding experimental data of the barrier heights and positions within±10%,on *** analytical calculations of the fusion cross section are performed by employing the coupled-channel approach which includes couplings to the low-lying2^(+) and 3^(-) states in target and projectile *** is shown that the theoretical values of the fusion excitation functions based on the selected microscopic framework are consistent with the experimental data.

The fusion barriers and cross sections of 15 colliding systems with 320≤Z_(1)Z_(2)≤1512 are investigated in detail to understand the influence of the universal function of proximity potential formalism in the heavy-ion fusion *** realize this goal,we select three versions of the phenomenological proximity potentials,including Prox.77,Zhang 2013,and Guo 2013,to calculate the nucleus-nucleus *** experimental fusion cross sections for the selected reactions are analyzed using the standard coupled-channel calculations,including couplings to the low-lying 2^(+)and 3^(-)states in the target and *** calculated results show that the universal functions of the Guo 2013 and Prox.77 models provide the lowest and highest fusion barriers,*** addition,it is found that the height of the fusion barriers is enhanced by increasing the mass number of the projectile from light to heavy *** highest sensitivity to the mass number of the projectile belongs to the results of Prox.77.A discussion is also presented on the influence of the universal function on the radial behavior of the interaction potential in the allowed region for overlapping *** results reveal that the best fit to the experimental data of the fusion cross sections for the reactions involving light and medium nuclei is obtained using the universal function of the Zhang 2013 *** the heavier systems,the results of the Guo 2013 model at sub-barrier energies provide a good description of the available data.

Compared with the traditional techniques of forest fires detection,wireless sensor network(WSN)is a very promising green technology in detecting efficiently the ***,the power constraint of sensor nodes is one of the main design limitations of WSNs,which leads to limited operation time of nodes and late fire *** the past years,wireless power transfer(WPT)technology has been known as a proper solution to prolong the operation time of sensor *** WPT-based mechanisms,wireless mobile chargers(WMC)are utilized to recharge the batteries of sensor nodes ***,the energy of WMC is provided using energy-harvesting or energy-scavenging techniques with employing huge,and expensive ***,the high price of energy-harvesting devices hinders the use of this technology in large and dense networks,as such networks require multiple WMCs to improve the quality of service to the sensor *** solve this problem,multiple power banks can be employed instead of utilizing ***,the long waiting time of critical sensor nodes located outside the charging range of the energy transmitters is another limitation of the previous ***,the sensor nodes are equipped with radio frequency(rF)technology,which allows them to exchange energy ***,critical sensor nodes located outside the charging range of the WMC can easily receive energy from neighboring ***,in this paper,an energy-efficient and cost-effective wireless power transmission(ECWPT)scheme is presented to improve the network lifetime and performance in forest fire detection-based *** results exhibit that ECWPT scheme achieves improved network performance in terms of computational time(12.6%);network throughput(60.7%);data delivery ratio(20.9%);and network overhead(35%)as compared to previous related *** conclusion,the proposed scheme significantly improves network energy efficiency for WSN.

BACKGrOUND Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis(FSGS)often recurs after transplantation,leading to graft dysfunction and graft *** who have lost prior grafts due to recurrence are at particularly high risk of re-recurrence in subsequent *** and plasma exchange have been used pre-emptively to prevent post-transplant ***,the efficacy of such preventative measures remains *** To investigate the outcomes of preventative rituximab and plasma exchange for recurrent FSGS in transplant recipients after prior graft *** We conducted a systematic review of 11 studies with 32 patients who had experienced prior graft loss due to post-transplant FSGS recurrence and were treated with either pre-emptive plasma exchange alone,rituximab alone,or a combination of *** Overall,47%of the 32 patients experienced recurrence despite prophylactic ***-recurrence was seen in 25%(1/4)with pre-emptive rituximab alone,and 45%recurrence(9/20)with plasma exchange ***-recurrence was noted in 63%with the use of combined plasma exchange and *** There is a paucity of available evidence in the literature to draw clear conclusions on the benefits of pre-emptive measures to prevent FSGS *** small sample sizes and variations in protocols call for larger and controlled studies to serve this patient population at high risk of recurrence and graft loss.

In this paper,the performance of a solar thermal system with a focus on space heating was investigated.A 70 m^(2) detached house was considered in the weather conditions of the city of Tehran,Iran.A thermosyphon solar water heater with a flat plate collector combined with an auxiliary electrical heater supplies the heating demand of the *** proposed system was modeled and analyzed using TrNSYS *** this regard,the TrNBuild module was employed for the building load *** model has been simulated for one year of *** effects of the solar collector’s surface area and storage volume were *** results show that for a solar collector with a 15 m^(2) surface area,the solar fraction is 0.29 in January,during which the solar radiation is the *** solar collectors of10 m^(2) and 5 m^(2) surface areas,the solar fraction falls to 0.23 and 0.14,respectively in ***,two cases of 150 L and 300 L storage tanks are taken into ***,it is found that using a 15 m^(2) solar collector and a 150 L storage tank can appropriately provide the building’ s heating demand taking the thermal performance and economic aspects into consideration.

Background Hepatitis B virus(HBV)and hepatitis C virus(HCV)infections are common among individuals with human immune deficiency virus(HIV)infection *** this study,we did a systematic review and meta-analysis of the published literature to estimate the global and regional prevalence of HCV,HBV and HIV coinfections among HIV-positive *** We searched PubMed via MEDLINE,Embase,the Cochrane Library,SCOPUS,and Web of science(ISI)to identify studies that reported the prevalence of HBV and HCV among prisoners living with *** used an eight-item checklist for critically appraisal studies of prevalence/incidence of a health problem to assess the quality of publications in the included 48 cross-sectional and 4 cohort *** used random-effect models and meta-regression for the meta-analysis of the results of the included *** The number of the included studies were 50 for HCV-HIV,and 23 for HBV-HIV *** pooled prevalence rates of the coinfections were 12%[95%confidence interval(CI)9.0–16.0]for HBV-HIV and 62%(95%CI 53.0–71.0)for *** HIV-positive prisoners who reported drug injection,the prevalence of HBV increased to 15%(95%CI 5.0–23.0),and the HCV prevalence increased to 78%(95%CI 51.0–100).The prevalence of HBV-HIV coinfection among prisoners ranged from 3%in the East Mediterranean region to 27%in the American ***,the prevalence of HCV-HIV coinfections among prisoners ranged from 6%in Europe to 98%in the East Mediterranean *** Our findings suggested that the high prevalence of HBV and HCV co-infection among HIV-positive prisoners,particularly among those with a history of drug injection,varies significantly across the *** results of Meta-regression analysis showed a sliding increase in the prevalence of the studied co-infections among prisoners over the past decades,rising a call for better screening and treatment programs targeting this high-risk *** prevent the above coin

Objective:Lichen planopilaris (LPP) is a rare skin disorder,but it is also the most common cause of scarring alopecia in *** main cause of this disease is unknown,but it is considered to be related to the immune status of the *** comorbidities are reportedly associated with LPP,such as hypertension,depression,thyroiditis,diabetes,and *** the present study,we aimed to investigate the frequency of comorbidities in patients with LPP who were referred to razi Hospital in rasht,Iran,from 2016 to ***:This cross-sectional study involved 60 patients with cicatricial alopecia patches (scarring and irreversible) and clinical signs and symptoms consistent with active *** association between demographic data and comorbidities in patients with LPP was evaluated with the chi-square test andt ***:The results showed that the most common comorbidities were vitamin D deficiency (24.3%),hypothyroidism (17.6%),anemia (16.2%),asthma and allergy (14.8%),hypertension (13.5%),diabetes (9.5%),and vitiligo (4.5%).There was no statistically significant association of sex,age,or body mass index with LPP according to the presence or absence of underlying disease (P = 0.440,P = 0.108,andP = 0.340,respectively);however,there was a statistically significant difference in the presence of comorbidities according to age (P = 0.018).Conclusion:The results illustrated that women with vitamin D deficiency are more prone to LPP than are patients with other pre-existing underlying diseases.
