With the exponential developments of wireless networking and inexpensive Internet of Things(IoT),a wide range of applications has been designed to attain enhanced *** to the limited energy capacity of IoT devices,energy-aware clustering techniques can be highly *** the same time,artificial intelligence(AI)techniques can be applied to perform appropriate disease diagnostic *** this motivation,this study designs a novel squirrel search algorithm-based energy-aware clustering with a medical data classification(SSAC-MDC)model in an IoT *** goal of the SSAC-MDC technique is to attain maximum energy efficiency and disease diagnosis in the IoT *** proposed SSAC-MDC technique involves the design of the squirrel search algorithm-based clustering(SSAC)technique to choose the proper set of cluster heads(CHs)and construct ***,the medical data classification process involves three different subprocesses namely pre-processing,autoencoder(AE)based classification,and improved beetle antenna search(IBAS)based parameter *** design of the SSAC technique and IBAS based parameter optimization processes show the novelty of the *** show-casing the improved performance of the SSAC-MDC technique,a series of experiments were performed and the comparative results highlighted the supremacy of the SSAC-MDC technique over the recent methods.

Portland cement concrete （PCC） and asphalt concrete （AC） are the most common roadway and highway construction materials which are more suitable for continuous slab pave- ments. The durability of these materials is highly dependent on construction quality and techniques, and both materials are difficult to repair. Heavy rain storms in India have recently revealed several roadway pavement failures and resulted in significant repair costs. Interlocking block type pavements are simpler to construct and maintain than both PCC and AC pavements but, have only been used for slower traffic roads due to weak interlocking at the joints. To improve the quality of block pavements, blocks made of PCC with waste tire crumb rubber partially replacing river sand （fine aggregate） are suggested. The joint interlocks can be further improved by modifying the block geometry. The material is completely recycled and is deemed more superior than concrete pavements when repair and construction techniques and costs are concerned. This paper presents the material characterization of rubberized Concrete Blocks （rCBs） using crumb rubber particle size ranging from 0.075 mm to 4.75 mm to partially replace the fine aggregates. It also discusses the advantages of rCB over continuous material pavements.

The hazardous environmental effects of greenhouse gas emissions and climate change demand alternative sources for cementitious materials in the construction *** development of geopolymer structures provides a way of producing 100%cement-free *** this research work,a novel and simple way of deriving nano particles from waste fly ash particles is *** effect of adding the synthesized nano fly ash particles as a filler medium in geopolymer mortars was investigated by considering strength and durability *** optimization was done by using regression analysis on the geopolymer mortar and the impact of adding nano fly ash particles was studied by varying different percentages of addition ranging from 0 to 7.5%by weight of binder *** the results,it was observed that 1%nano fly ash acted not only as a filler but also as nano-sized precursors of the polymerization process,resulting in denser geopolymer *** can explain the extraordinary gain in strength of 72.11 MPa as well as the denser core with negligible level of chloride ion penetration,making the material suitable for the development of structures susceptible to marine environment.

Polymer nanocrystal composites were fabricated by embedding polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) with K0.5Na0.5NbO3 (KNN) nanocrystallites of different volume fraction using the hot-pressing *** comparison,PVDF-KNN microcrystal composites of the same compositions were also fabricated which facilitated the studies of the crystallite size (wide range) effect on the dielectric and piezoelectric *** structural,morphological,dielectric,and piezoelectric properties of these nano and micro crystal composites were *** incorporation of KNN fillers in PVDF at both nanometer and micron scales above 10 vol％ resulted in the formation of polar β-form of *** room temperature dielectric constant as high as 3273 at 100 Hz was obtained for the PVDF comprising 40 vol％ KNN nanocrystallites due to dipole-dipole interactions (as the presence of β-PVDF is prominent),whereas it was only 236 for the PVDF containing the same amount (40 vol％) of micron-sized crystallites of KNN at the same *** theoretical models were employed to predict the dielectric constants of the PVDF-KNN nano and micro crystal *** PVDF comprising 70 vol％ micron-sized crystallites of KNN exhibited a d33 value of 35 pC/N,while the nanocrystal composites of PVDF-KNN did not exhibit any piezoelectric response perhaps due to the unrelieved internal stress within each grain,besides the fact that they have less domain walls.

Assessment of tree species diversity, structure and regeneration status of four sacred groves of Kushalnagar,southern Karnataka was carried out. The random quadrat method was employed in each grove for enumeration of tree diversity and regeneration status. A total of 98 tree species belonging to 38 families were found from the sampled *** groves possess higher diversity and basal area. Some67 % of species have shown regeneration, while 17 % of species had no regeneration. Another 15 % of species were reappearing or immigrating. It is observed that increased disturbance was directly proportional to number of reappearing or immigrating species and inversely proportional to the diversity in all the sacred groves. Significant impact on diversity, species richness and regeneration status of the flora due to manifold anthropogenic activities have been recorded.

In engineering practice,it is often necessary to determine functional relationships between dependent and independent *** relationships can be highly nonlinear,and classical regression approaches cannot always provide sufficiently reliable ***,Machine Learning(ML)techniques,which offer advanced regression tools to address complicated engineering issues,have been developed and widely *** study investigates the selected ML techniques to evaluate their suitability for application in the hot deformation behavior of metallic *** ML-based regression methods of Artificial Neural Networks(ANNs),Support Vector Machine(SVM),Decision Tree regression(DTr),and Gaussian Process regression(GPr)are applied to mathematically describe hot flow stress curve datasets acquired experimentally for a medium-carbon *** the GPr method has not been used for such a regression task before,the results showed that its performance is the most favorable and practically unrivaled;neither the ANN method nor the other studied ML techniques provide such precise results of the solved regression analysis.

In the present research,we describe a computer-aided detection(CAD)method aimed at automatic fetal head circumference(HC)measurement in 2D ultrasonography pictures during all trimesters of *** HC might be utilized toward determining gestational age and tracking fetal *** automated approach is particularly valuable in low-resource settings where access to trained sonographers is *** CAD system is divided into two steps:to begin,Haar-like characteristics were extracted from ultrasound pictures in order to train a classifier using random forests to find the fetal *** identified the HC using dynamic programming,an elliptical fit,and a Hough *** computer-aided detection(CAD)program was well-trained on 999 pictures(HC18 challenge data source),and then verified on 335 photos from all trimesters in an independent test set.A skilled sonographer and an expert in medicine personally marked the test *** used the crown-rump length(CrL)measurement to calculate the reference gestational age(GA).In the first,second,and third trimesters,the median difference between the standard GA and the GA calculated by the skilled sonographer stayed at 0.7±2.7,0.0±4.5,and 2.0±12.0 days,*** regular duration variance between the baseline GA and the health investigator’s GA remained 1.5±3.0,1.9±5.0,and 4.0±14 a couple of *** mean variance between the standard GA and the CAD system’s GA remained between 0.5 and 5.0,with an additional variation of 2.9 to 12.5 *** outcomes reveal that the computer-aided detection(CAD)program outperforms an expert *** paired with the classifications reported in the literature,the provided system achieves results that are comparable or even *** have assessed and scheduled this computerized approach for HC evaluation,which includes information from all trimesters of gestation.

The economic importance of silkworm has moved biologists to explore various intricate mechanisms of the action of vertebrate hormones. The dietary administration of several vertebrate hormones and prostaglandins enhanced both developmental and metabolic processes of silkworm, Bombyx mori L. The main objective of sericulture research is to apply the results to achieve superior quality silk and greater output, to apply lab findings to achieve desirable ecenomic results.
