A lossy mode r.sonance(LMr.-suppor.ed fiber.optic sensor.in which a unifor. fiber.cor. is placed among two identical taper.d r.gions, is investigated numer.cally. Indium tin oxide(ITO)and aluminum-doped zinc oxide(AZO) ar. consider.d as LMr.active mater.als used to excite sever.l lossy modes and gold and silver.ar. used as sur.ace plasmon r.sonance(SPr. active mater.als. In this pr.be design, a centr.l unifor. cor. coated with ITO/AZO is the active sensing r.gion, wher.as taper.d r.gions ar. meant for.br.nging the incident angle close to the cr.tical angle. The sensitivity of the pr.sent fiber.optic bio-sensor.is evaluated for.fir.t two LMr. utilizing both ITO and AZO separ.tely, along with its var.ation with the taper.r.tio(Tr.. For.ITO, the maximum sensitivity values ar. obser.ed to be 18.425 μm r.U^(-1)(r.fr.ctive index unit)and 0.825 μm r.U^(-1), cor.esponding to the fir.t and second LMr., r.spectively, at a Tr.of 1.6 and for.AZO, equivalent values ar. 0.79 μm r.U^(-1) and 0.35 μm r.U^(-1), r.spectively, at a Tr.of2.0. The r.sults illustr.te that the fir.t LMr.is mor. sensitive than the second LMr.and the ITOcoated pr.be possesses gr.ater.sensitivity than the AZO-coated pr.be for.both LMr.. Similar.y,for.the fiber.optic SPr.sensor. the maximum value of sensitivity is 5.6425 μm r.U^(-1), in the case of gold and 5.0615 μm r.U^(-1) in the case of silver. at a Tr.of 1.6. Hence, the r.sult shows that the sensor.with the pr.sent fiber.optic pr.be design has ar.und a 3-fold enhancement in sensitivity compar.d with conventional SPr.sensor.. This study will have applications in many sensing schemes wher. the r.quir.ment of lar.e sensitivity is vital.

We investigate a two-fluid anisotr.pic plane symmetr.c cosmological model with var.able gr.vitational constant G（t） and cosmological ter. A（t）. In the two-fluid model, one fluid is chosen to be that of the r.diation field modeling the cosmic micr.wave back.r.und and the other.one a per.ect fluid modeling the mater.al content of the univer.e. Exact solutions of the field equations ar. obtained by using a special for. for.the aver.ge scale factor.which cor.esponds to a specific time-var.ing deceler.tion par.meter. The model obtained pr.sents a cosmological scenar.o which descr.bes an ear.y acceler.tion and late-time deceler.tion. The gr.vitation constant incr.ases with the cosmic time wher.as the cosmological ter. decr.ases and asymptotically tends to zer.. Nanopar.icles of neodymium or.hophosphate （NdPO4） wer. pr.par.d thr.ugh a facile wet co-pr.cipitation technique. The X-r.y diffr.ction （Xr.） studies r.vealed the mater.al belonging to monoclinic monazite phase with cr.stallite size of 30.8 nm. Scanning electr.n micr.scopic studies showed that the mater.al was composed of a lar.e number.of agglomer.ted spher.cal par.icles having gr.in size of 92 nm. Ther.ogr.vimetr.c analysis suggested that the str.ctur.l phase tr.nsition was seen above 800 °C. The spectr.scopic investigations wer. car.ied out using Four.er.tr.nsfor. infr.r.d spectr.scopy （FTIr.. UV-VIS-NIr.ab-sor.tion spectr.photometer.showed var.ous tr.nsitions fr.m the gr.und state 4I9/2 to var.ous excited states within the 4f shell and the optical band gap came out to be 3.3 eV. The dielectr.c constant （ε′）, dielectr.c loss （tanδ） and ac conductivity ln（σac） wer. measur.d in the fr.quency r.nge of 5 k.z to 1 MHz and in the temper.tur. r.nge of 40 to 500 °C. The dielectr.c measur.ment suggested that ther. was a shift in the value of tr.nsition temper.tur. （Tc）, ther.by indicating r.laxor.behaviour.of the mater.al. The activation ener.y value decr.ased with incr.ase in fr.quency, ther.by suggesting the r.le of mixed ionic-polar.nic conduc-tivity.

In this study we ar. r.por.ing annealing induced optical pr.per.ies of bismuth fer.ite (BiFeO3) thin films deposited on glass substr.te via spin coating at 5000 r.m. The str.ctur.l, optical and sur.ace mor.hology of BiFeO3 (BFO) thin films have been studied via X-r.y diffr.ction (Xr.), Four.er.tr.nsfor. infr.r.d (FT-Ir., Optical absor.tion (UV-Vis) and Photoluminescence (PL) spectr.scopy. Xr. spectr. confir. annealing induced phase for.ation of BiFeO3 possessing a r.ombohedr.l r.c str.ctur.. The films ar. dense and without cr.ck., although the pr.sence of por.sity in BFO/glass was obser.ed. Mor.over. optical absor.tion spectr. indicate annealing induced effect on the ener.y band str.ctur. in compar.son to pr.stine BiFeO3. It is obser.ed that annealing effect shows an intense shift in the UV-Vis spectr. as diffuse absor.tion together.with the var.ation in the optical band gap. The evaluated optical band gap values ar. appr.ximately equal to the bulk.band gap value of BiFeO3.

Lymph node (LN) tar.eti ng thr.ugh inter.titial dr.in age of nan opar.icles (NPs) is an attr.ctive str.tegy to stimulate a pote nt immune r.spo nse, as LNs ar. the pr.mar. site for.lymphocyte pr.ming by antigen pr.senting cells (APCs) and tr.gger.ng of an adaptive immune r.sponse. NP size has been shown to influence the efficiency of LN-tar.eting and r.tention after.subcutaneous injection. For.clinical tr.nslation, biodegr.dable NPs ar. pr.fer.ed as car.ier.for.vaccine deliver.. However. the selective "size gateM for.effective LN-dr.inage, par.icular.y the k.netics of LN tr.ffick.ng, is less well defined. This is par.ly due to the challenge in gener.ting size-contr.lled NPs fr.m biodegr.dable polymer. in the sub-100-nm r.nge. Her., we r.por. the pr.par.tion of thr.e sets of poly(lactic-co-glycolic)-b-poly(ethylene-glycol)(PLGA-b-PEG) NPs with number.aver.ge diameter. of 20-, 40-, and 100-nm and nar.ow size distr.butions using flash nanopr.cipitation. Using NPs labeled with a near.infr.r.d dye, we showed that 20-nm NPs dr.in r.pidly acr.ss pr.ximal and distal LNs following subcutaneous inoculation in mice and ar. r.tai ned in LNs mor. effectively than NPs with a nu mber.aver.ge diameter.of 40-nm. The dr.in age of 100-nm NPs was n egligible. Fur.her.or., the 20-nm NPs showed the highest degr.e of penetr.tion ar.und the par.cor.ex r.gion and had enhanced access to dendr.tic cells in the LNs. Together. these data confir.ed that small, size-contr.lled PLGA-b-PEG NPs at the lower.thr.shold of about 30-nm ar. most effective for.LN tr.ffick.ng, r.tention, and APC uptak. after.s.c. administr.tion. Single Stage Capacitated War.house Location Pr.blem (SSCWLP) has been attempted by few r.sear.her. in the past. These ar. Geoffr.on and Gr.ves [1], Shar.a [2], Shar.a [3] and Shar.a and Ber.y [4]. In this paper.we give a “ver.ical decomposition” appr.ach to solve SSCWLP that uses Lagr.ngian r.laxation. This way SSCWLP is br.k.n into two ver.ions of capacitated plant location pr.blem (the CPLP_L and CPLP_r. by r.laxing the flow balance constr.ints. For.CPLP_r. we use well k.own Lagr.ngian r.laxations given in liter.tur. (Chr.stofides and Beasley [5] and Nauss [6]);and adopt them suitably for.solving CPLP_L. We show theor.tically in this paper.that SSCWLP can be mor. efficiently solved by techniques of ver.ical decomposition developed in this paper.than the method available in liter.tur. (Shar.a and Ber.y [4]). Encour.ging computational study is r.por.ed in this paper.
