The as-synthesized hybr.d nanomater.als （r.-PdnDs） have been thor.ughly c.ar.c.er.zed by high r.solution tr.nsmission elec.r.n mic.0}sc.py, X-r.y photoelec.r.n spec.r.sc.p）~ atomic.for.e mic.0}sc.p）~ r.man spec.r.sc.py and elec.r.c.emic.l tec.niques. The mec.anism of for.ation of suc. dendr.te- shaped Pd nanostr.c.ur.s on the gr.phene suppor. has been eluc.dated using tr.nsmission elec.r.n mic.0}sc.py （TEM） measur.ments. The r. induc.s the for.ation of, and plays a dec.sive r.le in shaping, the dendr.te mor.hology of Pd nanostr.c.ur.s on its sur.ac.. c.c.ic.voltammetr. and c.r.noamper.metr. tec.niques have been employed to evaluate the elec.r.c.emic.l per.or.anc. of r.-PdnDs towar.s oxidation of methanol. This study investigates the str.c.ur.l pr.per.ies of super.heavy nuc.ei with Z=130 by adopting the r.lativistic.mean-field (r.F) theor. within an axially defor.ed osc.llator.basis with the NL3 for.e par.meter.set. We study the binding ener.ies, quadr.pole defor.ation, nuc.ear.r.dii, neutr.n separ.tion ener.ies, and other.bulk pr.per.ies. Mor.over. we analyze the favor.ble dec.y modes for.c.ear.c.gnitive c.ntent of nuc.ei, suc. as alpha dec.y, using differ.nt for.ulae inc.uding the Viola-Seaber., analytic.l for.ula of r.yer. univer.al c.r.e for.ula, and univer.al dec.y law. We c.mpar. these with the c.r.esponding fission pr.c.ss. The spontaneous fission of super.heavy nuc.ei is studied with Z=130 within the mass r.gion 310≤A≤340. The r.sults exhibit good agr.ement with finite r.nge dr.plet model (Fr.M) data. This for.alism pr.sents a signific.nt step for.ar. in the study of the str.c.ur. and dec.y modes of the isotopes of Z=130. With this appr.isal, we investigate the possible shell/sub-shell c.osur. for.super.heavy nuc.ei adjac.nt by dec.y c.ains of alpha and other.r.dioac.ive dec.y par.ic.es.

The oxygen r.dic.ls ar. undesir.ble but inevitable pr.duc.s of aer.bic.metabolism in the nor.al living c.ll. The c.llular.antioxidant defense system maintains an appr.pr.ate balanc. between nec.ssar. oxidative events and those that ar. exc.ssive. When this c.0}tic.l balanc. c.nnot be maintained bec.use of the over.oading of the c.llular.edox system, oxygen r.dic.ls c.n induc. c.ll damage. They c.n influenc. c.r.inogenesis by induc.ng DN A damage fr.m dir.c. oxidation or.indir.c.ly fr.m DNA-binding pr.duc.s of lipid per.xidation. Oxygen r.dic.ls c.n induc. c.nfor.ational c.anges in the plasma membr.ne by lipid per.xidation and pr.tein degr.dation, thus influenc.ng membr.ne-assoc.ated c.llular.ac.ivities. They ar. c.pable of affec.ing membr.ne-bound pr.tein kinases, gr.wth fac.or. and their.r.c.ptor., and, ther.for., signal tr.nsduc.ion and onc.gene ac.ivation. Studies wer. per.or.ed to deter.ine the extent of nuc.ear.DNA degr.dation induc.d by ir.n, ir.n-asc.r.ate, or.ir.n-bleomyc.n under.aer.bic.c.nditions in a model system using isolated r.t liver.nuc.ei. The effec.s of five antioxidants (c.talase, super.xide dismutase, dimethyl sulfoxide, glutathione and diallyl sulfide) on this oxidative nuc.ear.damage wer. also investigated. At the 0.05 level for.statistic.l signific.nc., ir.n induc.d c.nc.ntr.tion-dependent DNA degr.dation, and this effec. was enhanc.d by asc.r.ate and bleomyc.n. The antioxidants c.talase, dimethyl sulfoxide, and diallyl sulfide signific.ntly r.duc.d the ir.n-asc.r.ate-induc.d DNA damage, wher.as super.xide dismutase and dimethyl sulfoxide signific.ntly r.duc.d ir.n-bleomyc.n-induc.d damage. Glutathione signific.ntly inc.0}ased the ir.n-bleomyc.n-induc.d DNA damage. These r.sults suggest that the r.ac.ive oxygen spec.es gener.ted by ir.n, ir.n-asc.r.ate, and ir.n-bleomyc.n ar. r.sponsible for.the DNA str.nd br.aks in isolated r.t liver.nuc.ei.
