The progress of on-chip optical communication relies on integrated multi-dimensional mode(de)multiplexers to enhance communication capacity and establish comprehensive ***,existing multi-dimensional(de)multiplexers,involving modes and wavelengths,face limitations due to their reliance on single-directional total internal reflection and multi-level mode conversion based on directional coupling *** constraints restrict their potential for full-duplex functionality and highly integrated *** solve these problems by introducing a photonic-like crystal-connected bidirectional micro-ring resonator array(PBMRA)and apply it to duplex mode-wavelength multiplexing *** directional independence of total internal reflection and the cumulative effect of the subwavelength-scale pillar within the single-level photonic crystal enable bidirectional mode and wavelength multiplexed signals to transmit among multi-pair nodes without interference,improving on-chip integration in single-level mode *** a proof of concept,we fabricated a nine-channel bidirectional multi-dimensional(de)multiplexer,featuring three wavelengths and three TE modes,compactly housed within a footprint of 80μm×80μm,which efficiently transmits QPSK-OFDM signals at a rate of 216 Gbit/s,achieving a bit error rate lower than 10^(-4).Leveraging the co-ring transmission characteristic and the orthogonality of the mode-wavelength channel,this(de)multiplexer also enables a doubling of communication capacity using two physical transmission channels.

Multifunctional materials are powerful tools to support the advancement of energy conversion *** with prominent electromagnetic and electrochemical properties can realize the conversion of electromagnetic energy and solve the subsequent storage ***,an electrospinning-thermal reduction method is employed to construct ultrafine nickel nanoparticle modified porous SiO_(2)/C(Ni-SiO_(2)/C)hollow nanofibers as promising materials for applications in both electromagnetic wave absorption(EMA)and lithium-ion ***,when used as an EMA material,the reflection loss(RL)of Ni-SiO_(2)/C can reach−47.8 dB at 15.8 GHz with a matching thickness of 2.2 *** excellent microwave absorption performance can be attributed to the enhanced conduction loss,polarization relaxation,synergistic magnetic loss,and preferred impedance matching,which result from multi-component magnetic/dielectric synergy and the unique interconnected multidimensional hollow ***,the electronic conductivity and electrochemical activity of the samples are significantly enhanced due to the uniform distribution of ultrafine Ni nanoparticles in the amorphous SiO_(2)/C ***,the hierarchical hollow porous structure provides sufficient free space for volume change during lithiation/delithiation ***,the Ni-SiO_(2)/C nanocomposite exhibits a high reversible capacity of 917.6 mAh·g^(−1)at 0.1 A·g^(−1).At a high current density of 2 A·g^(−1),a capacity of 563.9 mAh·g^(−1)can be maintained after 300 *** energy conversion-storage device is designed to store waste electromagnetic energy in the form of useful electrical *** work inspires the development of high-performance bifunctional materials.

采用Sage软件建立了两级GM制冷机整机数值模型,并通过实验结果进行了验证。基于数值模型和?分析方法,分析了不同制冷温度下压缩机、旋转阀与冷头的损失分布。结果表明,损失主要发生在压缩机和旋转阀上。冷头的损失随着制冷温度的降低而增加,在4.2 K时36%的损失发生在冷头上,其中61%的冷头损失是由于实际气体效应引起。压缩机、旋转阀和回热器的低效性以及实际气体效应主导了制冷机的损失,导致制冷机效率低下。

Tuning microstructures of TC4 ELI to improve explosion resistance

A reasonable heat treatment process for TC4 ELI titanium alloy is crucial to tune microstructures to improve its explosion ***,there is limited investigation on tuning microstructures of TC4 ELI to improve explosion ***,the current challenge is quantifying microstructural changes'effects on explosion resistance and incorporating microstructural changes into finite element *** work aims to tune microstructures to improve explosion resistance and elucidate their anti-explosion mechanism,and find a suitable method to incorporate microstructural changes into finite element *** this work,we systematically study the deformation and failure characteristics of TC4 ELI plates with varying microstructures using an air explosion test and LS-DYNA finite element *** Johnson-Cook(JC)constitutive parameters are used to quantify the effects of microstructural changes on explosion resistance and incorporate microstructural changes into finite element *** of the heat treatment,one plate has equiaxed microstructure and the other has bimodal *** convex of the plate after the explosion has a quadratic relationship with the charge mass,and the simulation results demonstrate high reliability,with the error less than 17.5%.Therefore,it is feasible to obtain corresponding JC constitutive parameters based on the differences in microstructures and mechanical properties and characterize the effects of microstructural changes on explosion *** bimodal target exhibits excellent deformation *** response of bimodal microstructure to the shock wave may be more intense under explosive *** well-coordinated structure of the bimodal target enhances its resistance to deformation.

Prediction for permeability index of blast furnace based on VMD-PSO-BP model

The permeability index is one of the important production indicators to monitor the operation of blast *** is crucial to grasp the trends of changes in the new permeability index in *** the complex vibration spectrum of the permeability index,a prediction model of the permeability index based on the VMD-PSO-BP(variational mode decomposition-particle swarm optimization-back propagation)method was ***,the key factors that affect the permeability index of blast furnace were studied from multiple ***,the permeability index was divided into multiple sub-modes based on the difference of frequency bands by the VMD algorithm,and a PSO-BP prediction model was established for each ***,the prediction results of each sub-mode were summed to obtain the final *** results show that the composite prediction accuracy by using the VMD algorithm is 3%higher than that of the traditional prediction method,which has better applicability.

Repelling liquid drops from engineering surfaces has attracted great attention in a variety of *** achieve efficient liquid shedding,delicate surface textures are often introduced to sustain air pockets at the liquid-solid ***,those surfaces are prone to suffer from mechanical failure,which may bring reliability issues and thus limits their ***,inspired by the aerodynamic Leidenfrost effect,we present that impacting drops are directionally repelled from smooth surfaces supplied with an exogenous air *** theoretical analysis reveals that the synchronized nonwetting and oblique bouncing behavior is attributed to the aerodynamic force arising from the air *** versatility and practicability of our approach allow for drop repellency without the aid of any surface wettability treatment and also avoid the consideration of mechanical stability issues,which thereby provides a promising candidate for the applications that necessitate liquid shedding,e.g.,resolve the problem of tiny raindrop adhesion on the automobile side window during driving.

Ultrasonic scalpel design for minimally invasive surgical procedures is mainly focused on optimizing cutting ***,an important issue is the low fatigue life of traditional ultrasonic scalpels,which affects their long-term reliability and effectiveness and creates hidden dangers for *** this study,a multi-objective optimal design for the cutting performance and fatigue life of ultrasonic scalpels was proposed using finite element analysis and fatigue *** optimal design parameters of resonance frequency and amplitude were *** setting the transition fillet and keeping the gain structure away from the node position to enable the scalpel to have a high service life with excellent cutting *** frequency modulation method of setting the vibration node bosses at the node position and setting the vibration antinode grooves at the antinode position was ***,the mechanism of the influence of various design elements,such as tip,shank,node position,and antinode position,on the resonance frequency,amplitude,and fatigue life of the ultrasonic scalpel was analyzed,and the optimal design principles of the ultrasonic scalpel were *** proposed ultrasonic scalpel design was confirmed by simulations,impedance measurements,and liver tissue cutting experiments,demonstrating its feasibility and enhanced *** research introduces innovative design strategies to improve the fatigue life and performance of ultrasonic scalpels to address an important issue in minimally invasive surgery.

Heat shock transcription factors(Hsfs)have important roles during plant growth and development and responses to abiotic *** identification and func-tion of Hsf genes have been thoroughly studied in various herbaceous plant species,but not woody species,especially Phoebe bournei,an endangered,unique species in *** this study,17 members of the Hsf gene family were identi-fied from *** using bioinformatic ***-netic analysis indicated that PbHsf genes were grouped into three subfamilies:A,B,and *** motifs,three-dimensional structure,and physicochemical properties of the PbHsf proteins were also *** structure of the PbHsf genes varied in the number of exons and ***-diction of cis-acting elements in the promoter region indi-cated that PbHsf genes are likely involved in responses to plant hormones and stresses.A collinearity analysis dem-onstrated that expansions of the PbHsf gene family mainly take place via segmental *** expression levels of PbHsf genes varied across different plant *** the basis of the expression profiles of five representative PbHsf genes during heat,cold,salt,and drought stress,PbHsf pro-teins seem to have multiple functions depending on the type of abiotic *** systematic,genome-wide investigation of PbHsf genes in *** and their expression patterns provides valuable insights and information for further func-tional dissection of Hsf proteins in this endangered,unique species.

Effect of short-time low-temperature austenitizing on microstructure and mechanical properties of DT300 ultra-high strength steel fabricated by laser powder bed fusion

To address the inhomogeneous microstructure and improve the mechanical properties of DT300 ultra-high strength steel specimens fabricated by laser powder bed fusion,different post-heat treatment schedules are *** the increase in austenitizing temperature and time,the migration rate of austenite grain boundaries continuously increases with the dissolution of nano-carbides,and the formation of nano-oxides and twin martensite is also inhibited *** rapid growth in the size of prior austenite grains and martensite laths,as well as the decrease in the content of nano-oxides and twin martensite,led to a rapid decrease in the strength(yield strength and ultimate tensile strength)from HT2 to HTF *** HT1 specimens(austenitizing at 830℃for 30 min,then oil quenching and tempering at 300℃for 120 min and finally air cooling)display excellent mechanical properties of yield strength of 1572 MPa,ultimate tensile strength of 1847 MPa,elongation of 9.84%,and fracture toughness of 106 MPa m^(1/2),which are counterparts to those of conventional DT300 steel forgings after heat treatment.

Novel strategy of multidimensional information encryption via multi-color carbon dots aggregation-induced emission

Carbon dots(CDs)with aggregation-induced emission(AIE)have sparked significant interest in multidimensional anti-counterfeiting due to their exceptional fluorescence ***,the preparation of AIE CDs with multicolor solid-state fluorescence remains a formidable challenge due to its complicated *** the present work,a novel class of multicolor AIE CDs(M-CDs)were fabricated using selected precursor(salicylic acid,thiosalicylic acid,and 2,2'-dithiodibenzoic acid),with an eco-friendly,low-cost one-pot solvothermal *** the dilute organic solution,M-CDs manifested blue emission,but upon aggregation in the presence of water,the red,yellow,green,and blue emissions were displayed due to the AIE *** analysis,coupled with theoretical calculations,revealed that the increase in the size of sp2 domains would lower the Eg and cause a red-shift emission ***,the continuous emission of M-CDs from blue to red can be utilized as ink for multimode printing,enabling the creation of a variety of school badges and quick response *** findings hold promising implications for multi-information encryption applications.
