Influence of Fe Addition on Phase Transformation,Microstructure and Mechanical Property of Equiatomic NiTi Shape Memory Alloy

Based on equiatomic nickel and titanium, three kinds of NiTiFe alloys with a nominal chemical composition of Ni49Ti49Fe2, Ni48Ti48Fe4 and Ni47Ti47Fe6 （at.%）, respectively, have been designed to investigate the influence of the addition of Fe element on phase transformation, microstructure and mechanical property of equiatomic NiTi shape memory alloy. The microstructures of three kinds of NiTiFe alloys are characterized by the equiaxed grains instead of the dendrites. Consequently, some Ti2Ni precipitates are found to distribute in the grains interior and at the grain boundaries. The content of Fe element has an important influence on mechanical property of NiTiFe alloy. With increasing content of Fe element, the strength of NiTiFe alloy increases substantially, but the plasticity decreases sharply. It can be concluded that pre- cipitation strengthening and solution strengthening play a significant role in enhancing the strength of NiTiFe alloy. In the case of three NiTiFe alloys, neither martensitic transformation nor reverse transformation can be observed in the range from -150 to 150 ~C. On the one hand, the phase transformation temperature is probably out of the scope of the present experimental temperature. On the other hand, the addition of Fe element probably suppresses first-order martensitic transformation or reverse transformation, and consequently the second-order-like phase transformation from an incom- mensurate stage to a commensurate stage can probably take place.

Increasing interests in hydrocarbon resources at depths have drawn greater attentions to the deeply-buried carbonate reservoirs in the Tarim Basin in *** this study,the cyclic dolomite rocks of Upper Cambrian Lower qiulitag Group from four outcrop sections in northwestern Tarim Basin were selected to investigate and evaluate the petrophysical properties in relation to depositional facies and *** Lower qiulitag Group includes ten lithofacies,which were deposited in intermediate to shallow subtidal,restricted shallow subtidal,intertidal,and supratidal environments on a carbonate ramp *** lithofacies are vertically stacked into repeated shallowing-upward,meter-scale cycles which are further grouped into six third-order depositional sequences(Sq1 to Sq6).There are variable types of pore spaces in the Lower qiulitag Group dolomite rocks,including interparticle,intraparticle,and fenestral pores of primary origin,inter crystal,and vuggy pores of late diagenetic *** porosity in the dolomites is generally facies-selective as that the microbially-originated thrombolites and stromatolites generally yield a relatively high *** contrast,the high-energy ooidal grainstones generally have very low *** this case,the microbialite-based peritidal cycles and peritidal cycle-dominated highstand(or regressive)successions have relatively high volumes of pore spaces,although highly fluctuating(or vertical inhomogeneous).Accordingly,the grainstone-based subtidal cycles and subtidal cycle-dominated transgressive successions generally yield extremely low *** scenario indicates that porosity development and preservation in the thick dolomite successions are primarily controlled by depositional facies which were influenced by sea-level fluctuations of different orders and later diagenetic overprinting.

AIM: To develop a safe and effective agent for cholangiocarcinoma(CCA) chemotherapy. METHODS: A drug combination experiment was conducted to determine the effects of β-escin in c o m b i n a t i o n w i t h c h e m o t h e ra p y o n C C A c e l l s. 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide assay was performed to determine the effects of β-escin and common chemotherapeutics on the proliferation of human CCA cells(QBC939, Sk-Ch A-1, and MZ-Ch A-1). Immunocytochemistry was used to detect the expression of P-glycoprotein(P-gp) protein. Luciferase reporter assay was used to detect the activation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. The protein levels of P-gp, p S9-GSK3β, p T216-GSK3β, GSK3β, β-catenin, and p-β-catenin were further confirmed by western ***: The drug sensitivity of QBC939 and QBC939/5-fluorouracil(5-FU) cells to 5-FU, vincristine sulfate(VCR), or mitomycin C was significantly enhanced by β-escin compared with either agent alone(P < 0.05). In addition, the combination of β-escin(20 μmol/L) with 5-FU and VCR was synergic with a combination index < 1. Further investigation found that the m RNA and protein expression of P-gp was downregulated by β-escin. Moreover, β-escin induced GSK3β phosphorylation at Tyr-216 and dephosphorylation at Ser-9, resulting in phosphorylation and degradation of β-catenin. Interestingly, activation of the GSK3β/β-catenin pathway induced by Wnt3 a resulted in upregulation of P-gp, which was effectively abolished by β-escin, indicating that β-escin down-regulated P-gp expression in a GSK3β-dependent ***: β-escin was a potent reverser of P-gpdependent multidrug resistance, with said effect likely being achieved via inhibition of the GSK3β/β-catenin pathway and thus suggesting a promising strategy of developing combination drugs for CCA.

The lung is the prophylaxis target against SARS-CoV-2 infection,and neutralizing antibodies are a leading class of biological products against various infectious viral *** this study,we develop a safe and cost-effective platform to express neutralizing antibody in the lung with replicating mRNA basing on alphavirus replicon particle(VRP)delivery system,to prevent SARS-CoV-2 ***,a modified VEEV replicon with two subgenomic(sg)promoters was engineered to translate the light and heavy chains of antibody simultaneously,for expression and assembly of neutralizing anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody ***,the feasibility and protective efficacy of replicating mRNA against SARS-CoV-2 infection were demonstrated through both in vitro and in vivo *** lung target delivery with the help of VRP system resulted in efficiently block SARS-CoV-2 infection with reducing viral titer and less tissue damage in the lung of ***,our data suggests that expressing neutralizing antibodies in the lungs with the help of self-replicating mRNA could potentially be a promising prophylaxis approach against SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Based on molecular dynamics(MD)simulation,the mechanisms of plastic anisotropy in nanotwinned polycrystalline copper with{111}texture during tensile deformation were systematically studied from the aspects of Schmid factor of the dominant slip system and the dislocation *** results show that the Schmid factor of dominated slip system is altered by changing the inclining angle of the twin boundaries(TBs),while the yield stress or flow stress does not strictly follow the Schmid *** exist hard and soft orientations involving different dislocation mechanisms during the tensile *** strengthening mechanism of hard orientation lies in the fact that there exist interactions between the dislocations and the TBs during plastic deformation,which leads to the dislocation blocking and *** softening mechanism of soft orientation lies in the fact that there is no interaction between the dislocations and the TBs because only the slip systems parallel to the TBs are activated and the dislocations slip on the planes parallel to the *** is concluded that the plastic anisotropy in the nanotwinned polycrystalline copper with{111}texture is aroused by the combination effect of the Schmid factor of dominated slip system and the dislocation mechanism.
