By developing a GDMOD model to estimate the environmental externalities associated with electricity generation, this project provides a detailed analysis of the damages and costs caused by different pollutants at varying distances from the Mawan Electricity Plant in Shenzhen, China. The major findings of this study can be summarized that (1) environmental damages caused by electricity production are large and are mainly imposed on regions far away from the electricity plant; (2) air pollution is the most significant contributor to the total damages, and SO_2, NOx, and particulate matter are the three major pollutants with highest damages; (3) the damages caused per unit of particulate, NOx, and SO_2 emissions are much higher than pollution treatment and prevention costs. The research results of this project showed that China needs to have a more effective levy system on SO_2, and a more manageable electricity tariff mechanism to internalize the environmental externalities. The results have also implications for pollution control strategies, compensation schemes as well as emission trading arrangements.

Two 3D multifunctional lanthanide metal-organic frameworks（MOFs）, Pr（HTCPS）（H20）·2DMF·C2H2OH·5H2O（JUC-93） and Pr3（TCPS）2（NO3）（H2O）4（DMA）2.2DMA.C2H5OH.3H2O（JUC-94）[H4TCPS=tetrakis（4-carboxyphenyl）- silane, DMF=N,N＇-dimethylformamide, DMA=N,N＇-dimethylacetamide and JUC=Jilin University China] were synthe- sized by the self-assembly of a rigid silicon-centered tetrahedral carboxylate ligand H4TCPS and Pr（III） ions in different solvothermal reactions. X-Ray crystallography revealed that they exhibited a rare CaFE topology framework, constructed from the 4-connected tetrahedral TCPS unit with the 8-connected dinuclear praseodymium cluster unit and trinuclear praseodymium cluster unit, respectively. In addition, the luminescent and magnetic properties of the two compounds were investigated.

Interfacial Al-Ce-Cu-W amorphous layers formed through thermally driven solid-state amorphization within the(W+Ce O2)/2024 Al composite were *** elemental distributions and interfacial microstructures were examined with an electron probe microanalyzer and a high-resolution transmission electron microscope,*** consolidation of composites consisted of two thermal processes:vacuum degassing(VD)and hot isostatic pressing(HIP).During consolidation,not only the three major elements(Al,W,and Ce)but also the alloying elements(Mg and Cu)in the Al matrix contributed to *** VD and HIP temperatures of 723 K and763 K,interfacial amorphous layers were formed within the *** diffusion processes were necessary for interfacial amorphization:(a)long-range diffusion of Mg from the Al matrix to the interfaces during VD;(b)long-range diffusion of Cu from the Al matrix to the interfaces during HIP;(c)short-range diffusion of W toward the Al matrix during *** newly formed interfacial Al-Ce-Cu-W amorphous layers can be categorized under the Al-Ce-TM(TM:transition metals)amorphous system.

Objective:To report vestibular evoked myogenic potentials from different recording sites(neck extensor or masseter muscles) in miniature pigs and ***:Potentials were recorded using 1000 Hz tone bursts from the neck extensor muscle or masseter muscle in normal adult Bama miniature pigs and rats anesthetized with 3%pentobarbital sodium and Sumianxin Ⅱ.Results:At 80 dB SPL,the first positive wave(P wave) of VEMPs was recognizable in 58%of rats with a latency of 6.45±0.23 ms and an amplitude of 1.45±0.49 μV when recorded from the neck extensor muscle,and in 50%of rats with a latency of 6.38±0.34 ms and an amplitude of 1.57±0.35 μV when recorded from the masseter *** miniature pigs,at the same stimulus intensity,P wave was recognizable in 58%of the animals with a latency of 7.65±0.64 ms and an amplitude of 1.66±0.34 μV when recorded from the neck extensor muscle,and in 50%of the animals with a latency of 7.65±0.64 ms and an amplitude of 0.31±0.28 μV when recorded from the masseter ***:VEMP can be induced from both neck extensor and masseter muscles in the miniature pig and *** a given species,the site of recording affects P wave induction rate and amplitude but not *** and repeatability analysis suggests that the masseter muscle is a better recording site in miniature pigs while the cervical extensor is a better recording site in *** a given recording site,both latency and amplitude of the P wave are slightly greater in miniature pigs than in rats.

Metabolic abnormalities lead to the dysfunction of metabolic pathways and metabolite accumulation or deficiency which is wellrecognizedhallmarks of diseases. Metabolite signatures that have close proximity to subject’s phenotypic informative dimension,are useful for predicting diagnosis and prognosis of diseases as well as monitoring treatments. The lack of early biomarkers couldlead to poor diagnosis and serious outcomes. Therefore, noninvasive diagnosis and monitoring methods with high specificity andselectivity are desperately needed. Small molecule metabolites-based metabolomics has become a specialized tool for metabolicbiomarker and pathway analysis, for revealing possible mechanisms of human various diseases and deciphering therapeuticpotentials. It could help identify functional biomarkers related to phenotypic variation and delineate biochemical pathwayschanges as early indicators of pathological dysfunction and damage prior to disease development. Recently, scientists haveestablished a large number of metabolic profiles to reveal the underlying mechanisms and metabolic networks for therapeutictarget exploration in biomedicine. This review summarized the metabolic analysis on the potential value of small-moleculecandidate metabolites as biomarkers with clinical events, which may lead to better diagnosis, prognosis, drug screening andtreatment. We also discuss challenges that need to be addressed to fuel the next wave of breakthroughs.

Accumulating evidence has revealed many clues that regular aerobic exercise benefits brain health and *** aims of this study were to explore the effect of aerobic exercise on ejaculatory behaviors,as well as to make a preliminary assessment of aerobic exercise as a complementary strategy to dapoxetine treatment in rapid *** tests of rats and a treadmill training protocol were performed in this *** total,12 rapid ejaculators were selected on the basis of ejaculation distribution theory and randomly assigned to 4 groups:control(Ctrol)group,aerobic exercise(Ex)group,dapoxetine(Dapo)group,and Ex+Dapo *** evaluated the changes in ejaculatory parameters in the 4 *** in biological markers,including serum corticosterone,serotonin(5-HT),and brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)of the raphe nucleus,were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The primary finding of our study was that both aerobic exercise and acute dapoxetine could enhance ejaculation control and prolong ejaculation latency in rapid ejaculator *** ejaculation delay effect of aerobic exercise was nearly equivalent to that of acute *** addition,both aerobic exercise and dapoxetine treatment could lead to increased expression of BDNF and 5-HT in the raphe nucleus of rapid ***,the two interventions,when applied together,may further upregulate the expression of BDNF-5-HT duo in a complementary *** study highlights the positive effects of aerobic exercise on ejaculation *** aerobic exercise might be a promising complementary treatment to dapoxetine in rats.

The combustion mechanism of aluminum particles in a detonation environment characterized by high temperature(in unit 10^(3)K),high pressure(in unit GPa),and high-speed motion(in units km/s)was studied,and a combustion model of the aluminum particles in detonation environment was *** on this model,a combustion control equation for aluminum particles in detonation environment was *** can be seen from the control equation that the burning time of aluminum particle is mainly affected by the particle size,system temperature,and diffusion *** calculation result shows that a higher system temperature,larger diffusion coefficient,and smaller particle size lead to a faster burn rate and shorter burning time for aluminum *** considering the particle size distribution characteristics of aluminum powder,the application of the combustion control equation was extended from single aluminum particles to nonuniform aluminum powder,and the calculated time corresponding to the peak burn rate of aluminum powder was in good agreement with the experimental electrical conductivity *** equation can quantitatively describe the combustion behavior of aluminum powder in different detonation environments and provides technical means for quantitative calculation of the aluminum powder combustion process in detonation environment.

Previous studies have demonstrated that sevoflurane postconditioning can provide neuroprotection after hypoxic-ischemic injury and improve learning and memory function in developing rodent *** classical Rice-Vannucci model was used to induce hypoxic-ischemic injury,and newborn(postnatal day 7)rats were treated with 2.4%sevoflurane for 30 minutes after hypoxic-ischemic *** results showed that sevoflurane postconditioning significantly improved the learning and memory function of rats,decreased astrogliosis and glial scar formation,increased numbers of dendritic spines,and protected the histomorphology of the ***,sevoflurane postconditioning decreased expression of von Hippel-Lindau of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α and increased expression of *** of 1.52μg of the hypoxia-inducible factor-1αinhibitor YC-1(Lificiguat)into the left lateral ventricle 30 minutes before hypoxic-ischemic injury reversed the neuroprotection induced by *** finding suggests that sevoflurane can effectively alleviate astrogliosis in the hippocampus and reduce learning and memory impairments caused by glial scar formation after hypoxic-ischemic *** underlying mechanism may be related to upregulated DJ-1 expression,reduced ubiquitination of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α,and stabilized hypoxiainducible factor-1α*** study was approved by the Laboratory Animal Care Committee of China Medical University,China(approval No.2016PS337K)on November 9,2016.
