The antitumor effects of conventional drug carriers are often attenuated and limited in application by biological barriers associated with tumor heterogeneity and resistance brought about by low tumor *** the rapid development of nanotechnology,naturally derived bioactive materials,and live cell carriers,a promising strategy emerges for targeting the tumor microenvironment(TME)for precision cancer *** unique injury-targeting properties of platelets can significantly extend functional activity,which cannot be achieved with conventional *** this review,three strategies based on platelet-engineered materials are systematically described,namely nanoparticles for platelet membrane camouflage,engineered activated platelets,and targeted-platelets ***-based nanomaterials can effectively coordinate local and distant tumor-host crosstalk with controlled active tumor site recognition and killing effects due to the presence of specific membrane proteins on the surface and the self-secretion of a large number of *** advances in platelets for effectively overcoming biological barriers and reducing immune resistance in cancer immunotherapy applications will be discussed in future clinical *** review provides an overview of recent research advances in platelet-based bioactive material-directed immunotherapy and chemotherapy to inform future antitumor combination therapies.

为了比较黄芩苷锌含量测定的不同方法,建立更加简单、快速的含量测定方法,分别采用高效液相色谱法法和原子吸收光谱法对黄芩苷锌原料药的含量测定进行研究。结果表明,HPLC测定黄芩苷锌线性范围为10.0~200.0μg/mL,相关系数r=0.9999,精密度(RSD=0.08%)良好;原子吸收光谱法线性范围为0~2.0μg/mL,相关系数r=0.9983,精密度(RSD=0.13%)良好,但前处理过程过于复杂,耗时太长。因此更推荐HPLC法。

Analysis of Mitochondrial DNA from the Ancient Tombs of Turfan

MtDNA was successfully extracted from ten individual bones (femurs) in the tombs of ancient Jushi in Turfan basin, dated back to the year about 3 000-2 500 years ago. By means of four overlapping primers, we got nucleotide sequence of the 218bp length. Ancient mtDNA was analyzed by the sequencing of hypervariable region Ⅰ of the mtDNA control region. The result shows that 9 haplotypes with 24 polymorphic sites were obtained. The phylogenetic analysis indicated that Mongolians and Altai are the population genetically closest to the Jushi groups and Jushi mtDNA pool being an admixture of eastern Asian and European lineages. So our preliminary data imply that an ancient mingling of Euro-Asian population had existed in Turfan basin prior to the early Iron Age.

Distribution and bioavailability of mercury in size-fractioned atmospheric particles around an ultra-low emission power plant in Southwest China

Ultra-low emission(ULE)technology retrofits significantly impact the particulate-bound mercury(Hg)emissions from coal-fired power plants(CFPPs);however,the distribution and bioavailability of Hg in size-fractioned particulate matter(PM)around the ULE-retrofitted CF-PPs are less ***,total Hg and its chemical speciation in TSP(total suspended particles),PM_(10)(aerodynamic particle diameter≤10μm)and PM_(2.5)(aerodynamic particle diameter≤2.5μm)around a ULE-retrofitted CFPP in Guizhou Province were *** PM_(2.5)concentration was higher around this ULE-retrofitted CFPP than that in the intra-regional urban cities,and it had higher mass Hg concentration than other sizefractioned *** Hg concentrations in PM had multifarious sources including CFPP,vehicle exhaust and biomass combustion,while they were significantly higher in autumn and winter than those in other seasons(P40%).Mass concentrations of exchangeable,HCl-soluble,elemental,and residual Hg in PM_(2.5)were higher than those in other size-fractioned PM,and were markedly elevated in autumn and winter(P<0.05).In PM_(2.5),HCl-soluble Hg presented a significantly positive relationship with elemental Hg(P<0.05),while residual Hg showed the significantly positive relationships with HCl-soluble Hg and elemental Hg(P<0.01).Overall,these results suggested that atmospheric PM-bound Hg around the ULE-retrofitted CFPP tends to accumulate in finer PM,and has higher bioavailable fractions,while has potential transformation between chemical speciation.

Deep cleaning of a metallurgical zinc leaching residue and recovery of valuable metals

Huge quantities of zinc leaching residues(ZLRs) generated from zinc production are dumped continuously around the world and pose a potential environmental threat because of their considerable amounts of entrained heavy metals(mainly lead). Most ZLRs have not been properly treated and the valuable metals in them have not yet been effectively recovered. Herein, the deep cleaning of a ZLR and recovery of valuable metals via a hydrometallurgical route were investigated. The cleaning process consists of two essential stages: acid leaching followed by calcium chloride leaching. The optimum conditions for extracting zinc, copper, and indium by acid leaching were a sulfuric acid concentration of 200 g·L^(-1), a liquid/solid ratio of 4:1(m L/g), a leaching time of 2 h, and a temperature of 90°C. For lead and silver extractions, the optimum conditions were a calcium chloride concentration of 400 g·L^(-1), a pH value of 1.0, a leaching time of 1 h, and a temperature of 30°C. After calcium chloride leaching, silver and lead were extracted out and the lead was finally recovered as electrolytic lead by electrowinning. The anglesite phase, which poses the greatest potential environmental hazard, was removed from the ZLR after deep cleaning, thus reducing the cost of environmental management of ZLRs. The treatment of chlorine and spent electrolyte generated in the process was discussed.

Application of Percutaneous Balloon Mitral Valvuloplasty in Patients of Rheumatic Heart Disease Mitral Stenosis Combined with Tricuspid Regurgitation

Background： Tricuspid regurgitation （TR） is frequently associated with severe mitral stenosis （MS）, the importance of significant TR was often neglected. However, TR influences the outcome of patients. The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of percutaneous balloon mitral valvuloplasty （PBMV） procedure in rheumatic heart disease patients with mitral valve （MV） stenosis and tricuspid valve regurgitation. Methods： Two hundred and twenty patients were enrolled in this study due to rheumatic heart disease with MS combined with TR. Mitral balloon catheter made in China was used to expand MV. The following parameters were measured before and after PBMV： MV area （MVA）, TR area （TRA）, atrial pressure and diameter, and pulmonary artery pressure （PAP）. The patients were followed for 6 months to 9 years. Results： After PBMV, the MVAs increased significantly （1.7 ± 0.3 cm2 vs. 0.9 ± 0.3 cm2, P 〈 0.01）; TRA significantly decreased （6.3 ± 1.7 cm2 vs. 14.2 ± 6.5 cm2, P 〈 0.01）, right atrial area （RAA） decreased significantly （21,5 ± 4.5 cm2 vs. 25.4 ± 4.3 cm〈 P 〈 0.05）, TRA/RAA （%） decreased significantly （29.3 ± 3.2% vs. 44.2 ± 3.6%, P 〈 0.01）. TR velocity （TRV） and TR continue time （TRT） as well as TRV - TRT decreased significantly （ 183.4± 9.4 cm/s vs. 254.5 ± 10.7 cm/s, P 〈 0.01 ; 185.7 ± 13.6 ms vs. 238.6 ±l 1.3 ms, P 〈 0.01 ; 34.2 ±5.6 cm vs. 60.7 ± 8.5 cm, P 〈 0.01, respectively）, The postoperative left atrial diameter （LAD） significantly reduced （41.3 ± 6.2 mm vs. 49.8± 6.8 mm, P 〈 0.01） and the postoperative right atrial diameter （RAD） significantly reduced （28.7 ±5.6 mm vs. 46.5 ± 6.3 mm, P 〈 0.01 ）; the postoperative left atrium pressure significantly reduced （ 15.6 ± 6.1 mmHg vs. 26.5 ± 6.6 mmHg, P 〈 0.01 ）, the postoperative right atrial pressure decreased significantly （ 13.2 ±2.4 mmHg vs. 18.5 ±4.3 mmHg, P 〈 0.01 ）.
