Thermomechanical treatments were carried out to improve the properties of AZ31B joints prepared by gas tungsten arc welding. The microstructures of the joints were studied by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive spectrometry. Tensile tests and hardness tests were performed to investigate the effects of thermomechanical treatments on the mechanical properties of the joints. It is found that the thermomechanical-treated joints show superior mechanical properties against the as-welded joints, and their ultimate tensile strength can reach more than 92% of the base material. This mainly attributes to the formation of fine equiaxed grains in the fusion zone. ARer thermomechanical treatments the dendrites are transformed to fine spherical grains, and the dendritic segregation can be effectively eliminated.

Alpine vegetation plays an important role in the thermal stability of the permafrost under a warming climate,as it affects ground hydrothermal *** response of soil hydrothermal dynamics in the active layer to permafrost degradation under different alpine grassland types is unclear on the qinghai‒Tibet *** this study,long-term soil temperature and soil water content in the active layer were monitored in situ from October 2010 to December 2018 at five sites in the Kaixinling permafrost region on the interior qinghai‒Tibet Plateau along the qinghaieTibet *** sites included an alpine steppe(AS),three alpine meadows(AM)with different degrees of degraded vegetation,and an alpine swamp meadow(ASM).Based on field-monitored data,the variations in soil temperature,soil water content,and freezeethaw processes were examined in the active *** response characteristics of the soil hydrothermal processes to climate change were analysed under the different alpine *** results showed that the duration of the thawing and freezing stages of the active layer of the AMs was shorter than that of the ASM and the *** average mean annual soil temperature(MAST)in the active layer of the AM((-1.25±0.50)℃)was lower than those in the AS((-0.71±0.39)℃)and ASM((-0.45±0.57)℃),while the AM had the highest rate of soil temperature increase((0.2±0.06)℃ per year).The annual amplitude of ground temperature in the active layer increased with the transition direction of the alpine vegetation type from ASM to AM to *** small surface offset(SO)and thermal offset(TO)(absolute values)indicated that the ground thermal state of the AM was more unstable,as it was more sensitive to the increase in air temperature than the ASM or the *** properties controlled the distribution of soil water content within the active layer,but vegetation improved the shallow soil structure by producing more belowground phytomass,thus,enhancing soil water content in the 0-30 cm layer.

Organic light-emitting devices（OLEDs） with the structure of indium-tin-oxide（ITO）/N,N＇-bis-（1-naphthyl）-N,N＇-diphenyl-（1,1＇-biphenyl）-4,4＇-diamine（NPB）/2,9-dimenthyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline（BCP）/tris（8-hydroxyquinoline）aluminum（Alq3）/Mg：Ag or that of ITO/NPB/1,2,3,4,5,6-hexakis（9,9-diethyl-9H-fluoren-2-yl）benzene（HKEthFLYPh）/Alq3/Mg：Ag were *** light emission was achieved with the two devices when the thicknesses of BCP and HKEthFLYPh were 1.5 nm（device B） and 5 nm（device Ⅱ）,*** obvious difference was that the EL spectrum of device Ⅱ was not sensitive to the thickness of HKEthFLYPh compared to that of BCP ***,the maximum luminance of device Ⅱ was about 1000 cd/m^2 higher than that of device B at a forward bias of 15 V,and it exhibited a maximum power efficiency of 1.0 lm/W at 5.5 V,which is nearly twice that of device *** performance of device Ⅱ using a novel star-shaped hexafluorenylbenzene organic material was improved compared with that of BCP.

Four novel calix[4]arene derivatives 5-8 bearing four fluorogenic coumarin units attached via imino group acting also as binding sites at the upper rim have been prepared and characterized by IR, IH NMR and MS. Compounds 5-8 adopt a cone conformation. Their complexation properties to different heavy and transition metal ions have been studied by UV-vis spectroscopy. Compounds 5, 6, 8 show selective recognition to Fe^3＋ and Cr^3＋.

Two novel fluorescent calix[4]arene derivatives la and lb with benzoxazole or benzothiazole units in 1,3-alternate conformation have been synthesized and characterized by IR, ^1H NMR, ^13C NMR and MS. Their complexation properties to different heavy and transition metal ions have been studied by UV-vis spectroscopy and fluorescence spectrometer. Compounds 1a and 1b show selective recognition to Fe^3＋ and Cr^3＋.

Bovine spongiform encephalopathy(BSE),which has been documented in 190,000 cases of BSE-infected cattle,to our knowledge,has not been reported in *** protein(PrP) is critical to susceptibility and development of ***,a new PrP-like protein,Shadoo(Sho),has been shown to have overlapping expression patterns and shared functions with ***,we hypothesize that differences in expression at the transcriptional level and/or the post-transcriptional level of the two genes may be associated with these specific differences between cattle and *** compared the relative mRNA expression of the prion protein gene(PRNP) and the Shadoo gene(SPRN) in 3% RNA samples using real-time *** also analyzed PrP/Sho protein from 96 samples by Western *** results demonstrated significantly lower PrP expression in the cerebellum,obex,mesenteric lymph node,and bronchial lymph node tissues,but higher relative expression of Sho in the cerebrum and spleen in buffalos compared with *** these results support our primary assumption,Sho and PrP expressions did not correlate with corresponding mRNA expression,suggesting that the biological modulations of both PrP and Sho proteins are at post-translational ***,positive correlations between PRNP and SPRN were found in cattle and buffalo cerebrum as well as in buffalo ***,negative correlations between PrP and Sho were detected in buffalo cerebellum and obex *** findings suggest that additional post-transcriptional studies are warranted to elucidate mechanisms behind prion diseases.

An inorganicDorganic hybrid crystalline material(SiMo_(12)O_(40))[Cu(2,2'-bipy)_(2)]_(2)·2H_(2)O(Complex 1,2,2'-bipy=2,2'-bipyridine)was synthesized for the first time by using 2,2'-bipy and transition metal copper to convert Waugh-type polyoxometalate[MnMo_(9)O_(3)_(2)]_(6-)into a Keggin polyoxometalate structure[SiMo_(12)O_(40)]^(4-)under hydrothermal conditions in glass *** crystal tests and a series of characterizations were carried out on Complex *** structure of Complex 1 is composed of[SiMo_(12)O_(40)]^(4-)and[Cu^(Ⅱ)(2,2'-bipy)_(2)]^(2+).The five-coordinated Cu is connected to two 2,2'-bipy through CuDN bonds,forming an approximately square ***,Complex 1 exhibited good photocatalytic performance for methylene blue degradation and electrocatalytic nitrite reduction properties simultaneously.
