Analysis of two naval pilots’ ejection injuries: Two case reports

BACKGROUND Recently,two naval pilots in a two-seat trainer jet were forced to eject urgently due to sudden mechanical failure during night-time *** were both successfully rescued and sent to the hospital for emergency *** this study,we investigate their ejection injuries and recovery *** SUMMARY We analyzed the clinical data of the traumatic condition and recovery process from ejection injuries of two pilots who ejected from a failed trainer jet and *** being successfully rescued and sent to the hospital,they were diagnosed with multiple ejection injuries,including eye trauma,limb bone and joint injury,rib and spine injury,and so *** cases underwent fluid replacement,acid suppression,nutritional support,hemostasis,bone metabolism improvement,phlegm elimination,psychological measurement,blood circulation promotion and detumescence,physical therapy,and external fixation with braces for 1 mo before being discharged from *** then recuperated in a sanatorium for 2 mo,and the related laboratory tests and supplementary examinations show that they recovered from all the above *** successfully passing the psychological test and physical examination,they returned to flight duty 3 mo after *** The causes and conditions of ejection injury in the pilots were very *** they finally recovered quickly and were released,it also serves as a reminder that attention should be paid to pilots’ejection and parachute training in order to significantly reduce ejection injury and improve the ejection success *** addition,air defense support personnel should strengthen search and rescue and on-site emergency measures,and locate and rescue pilots in distress as early as possible to reduce subsequent injuries.

Cross-Shock Electrostatic Potential and Ion Reflection in Quasi-Parallel Supercritical Collisionless Shocks

The time evolution of the cross-shock electrostatic potential jump during one specific high Mach number quasi-parallel shock reformation cycle is examined via a 1D hybrid *** is shown that when the average value of the electrostatic potential jump is low,its instant value can be large so that the shock is in a favorable profile to directly reflect the incident *** simulation also suggests that,for the ones that finally become injected ions(which can be further accelerated by diffusive shock acceleration mechanism),the first step of their reflections should be mainly attributed to the electrostatic potential jump,instead of the magnetic force,as stated in some previous studies.

Fabrication of double-walled carbon nanotube film/TiO_2 nanotube array heterojunctions with length-dependent photoresponse for broad band photodetectors

A novel photodetector based on double-walled carbon nanotube （DWCNT） film/TiO2 nanotube array （TNA） heterojunctions was fabricated, which exhibited high photoresponse in a broad spectral range. The photoresponse of the detector was dramatically dependent on the length of the TNAs. High photocurrent-to-dark current ratio with a value of 3360 was observed in the visible range by optimizing the lengths of the TNAs. The photosensitive regions could be extended into the near-infrared range. These results reveal that DWCNT film/TNA heterojunctions show potential applications for broad band photodetectors.

A type of infinite horizon forward-backward doubly stochastic differential equations is *** some monotonicity assumptions,the existence and uniqueness results for measurable solutions are established by means of homotopy method.A probabilistic interpretation for solutions to a class of stochastic partial differential equations combined with algebra equations is given.A significant feature of this result is that the forward component of the FBDSDEs is coupled with the backward variable.

Iodopentafluorosulfanylation of [1.1.1]propellane and further functionalizations

Pentafluorosulfanylated(SF_(5^(-))) aromatics have shown great potential in drugs, and the bioisosteric replacement of aromatic ring with bicyclo[1.1.1]pentane(BCP) unit has attracted considerable attention recently. Consequently, pentafluorosulfanylated bicyclo[1.1.1]pentanes(SF_(5^(-))BCPs) should have application in the realm of drug discovery. In this study, a one-pot iodopentafluorosulfanylation of [1.1.1]propellane with SF_(5)Cl and CH_(2)I_(2)for the practical synthesis of iodopentafluorosulfanylated bicyclo[1.1.1]pentane(SF_(5^(-))BCP-I) was developed. SF_(5^(-))BCP-I was the first example of SF_(5^(-))BCPs that could be transformed. The first general method to access SF_(5^(-))substituted bicyclo[1.1.1]pentane derivatives was demonstrated through photoredox-catalyzed radical addition of SF_(5^(-))BCP-I to alkenes and alkynes.

Dynamic changes in DNA demethylation in the tree shrew (Tupaia belangeri chinensis) brain during postnatal development and aging

Brain development and aging are associated with alterations in multiple epigenetic systems, including DNA methylation and demethylation patterns. Here, we observed that the levels of the 5- hydroxymethylcytosine （5hmC） ten-eleven transtocation （TET） enzyme-mediated active DNA demethylation products were dynamically changed and involved in postnatal brain development and aging in tree shrews （Tupaia belangeri chinensis）. The levels of 5hmC in multiple anatomic structures showed a gradual increase throughout postnatal development, whereas a significant decrease in 5hmC was found in several brain regions in aged tree shrews, including in the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus, but not the cerebellum. Active changes in Tet mRNA levels indicated that TET2 and TET3 predominantly contributed to the changes in 5hmC levels. Our findings provide new insight into the dynamic changes in 5hmC levels in tree shrew brains during postnatal development and aging processes.

Expression of FGF-2 and IGF-1 in diabetic rats with fracture

Objective:To observe the change of fibroblast growth factor-2(FGF-2),insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF—1)in serum and bone callus after fracture in diabetic rats,and to explore molecular biological mechanism of healing of diabetic ***:Thirty male SD rats were designed into normal(n=13)and control(n=!5)groups *** blood was extracted on the 1st,2nd,4th,6th,8th week after *** was certificated and the serum was *** lower extremity was observed by *** callus at broken ends was observed under light *** of FGF-2 and 1GF-1 in tissue were detected by immunohistochemistry method,and ELISA was used to detect expression of FGF-2 and IGF-I in ***:The results showed a significant increase in the density and area of newly formed bone in the distraction gaps of normal rats compared to control *** cell proliferation was also found in the distraction gaps of normal rats versus control *** was significant difference in serum levels of FGF-2 and IGF-1 between two ***:The decrease of FGF-2 and IGF-1 both in the serum and in the fracture region is one of the reasons for bad bone healing or delayed union in rats'fracture with *** are some synergistic effects possibly between FGF-2 and ICF-I.

Control of mould level fluctuation through the modification of steel composition

Periodic mould level fluctuation （MLF） during slab casting is a bottleneck for upgrading the surface quality and casting speed especially for hypoperitectic （HP） or ultralow carbon steels. The uneven growth of the initially solidified shell is verified to be one of the important inducements to MLF due to related unsteady bulging in the secondary cooling zone. It is shown that the solidification mode of steels and the contraction behavior can be modified through chemical composition optimization within given composition limits, For high strength low alloy （HSLA） steels, the actual peritectic points calculated by Thermo-Calc software may change remarkably with the slight variations of alloying element contents. Accordingly, the narrow limit of chemical composition of HP steels through optimization is proven to be one of the effective factors to control the popular MLF phenomenon during slab casting.

Identification of SSR loci in Betula luminifera using birch EST data

Expressed sequence tags（ESTs） are generated from single-pass sequencing of randomly picked cDNA clones and can be used for development of simple sequence repeat（SSR） markers or ***,EST databases have been developed for only a small number of *** paper provides a case study of the utility of freely available birch EST resources for the development of markers necessary for the genetic analysis of Betula *** on birch EST data,primers for 80 EST-SSR candidate loci were developed and tested in *** these,59 EST-SSR loci yielded single,stable and clear PCR *** then tested the utility of those 59 markers in *** results showed 28（47.6%） yielded stable and clear PCR products for at least one *** *** addition,this study describes a rapid and inexpensive alternative for the development of SSRs in species with scarce available sequence data.
