Some fundamental issues in buoyancy-driven flows with implications for geophysical and astrophysical systems

Buoyancy-driven flows are prevalent in a wide range of geophysical and astrophysical systems. In this review, we focus on threepivotal effects that significantly influence the dynamics and transport properties of buoyancy-driven flows and may have impli-cations for natural systems. These effects pertain to the role of boundary conditions, the impact of rotation, and the effect offinite size. Boundary conditions represent how the fluid flow interacts with different kinds of surfaces. Rotation, as the Earth’srotation in geophysical systems or the whirling of astrophysical systems, introduces Coriolis and centrifugal forces, leading tothe profound vortical structure and distinct transport property. Finite size, representing geometrical constraints, influences thebehavior of buoyancy-driven flows across varying geometrical settings. This review aims to provide a holistic understanding ofthe intricate interplay of these factors, offering insights into the complex natural phenomena from the perspectives of the threeeffects.

The complex roles of m^(6)A modifications in neural stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and self-renewal and implications for memory and neurodegenerative diseases

N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A), the most prevalent and conserved RNA modification in eukaryotic cells, profoundly influences virtually all aspects of mRNA metabolism. mRNA plays crucial roles in neural stem cell genesis and neural regeneration, where it is highly concentrated and actively involved in these processes. Changes in m^(6)A modification levels and the expression levels of related enzymatic proteins can lead to neurological dysfunction and contribute to the development of neurological diseases. Furthermore, the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells, as well as nerve regeneration, are intimately linked to memory function and neurodegenerative diseases. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the roles of m^(6)A in neural stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and self-renewal, as well as its implications in memory and neurodegenerative diseases. m^(6)A has demonstrated divergent effects on the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells. These observed contradictions may arise from the time-specific nature of m^(6)A and its differential impact on neural stem cells across various stages of development. Similarly, the diverse effects of m^(6)A on distinct types of memory could be attributed to the involvement of specific brain regions in memory formation and recall. Inconsistencies in m^(6)A levels across different models of neurodegenerative disease, particularly Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, suggest that these disparities are linked to variations in the affected brain regions. Notably, the opposing changes in m^(6)A levels observed in Parkinson's disease models exposed to manganese compared to normal Parkinson's disease models further underscore the complexity of m^(6)A's role in neurodegenerative processes. The roles of m^(6)A in neural stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and self-renewal, and its implications in memory and neurodegenerative diseases, appear contradictory. The development of near-infrared (NIR) photosensitizers with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) properties,switchable luminescence colors,and satisfactory photodynamic therapy (PDT) effects on the treatment of fungal infection is of great importance but very ***,two ionic organic luminogens are constructed by employing diphenylamine,diphenylacrylonitrile/1,2-diphenylethene,and methylated quinoline cation as building *** is found that the resulting compounds TCQF and TQF show apparent AIE properties and produce intense fluorescence with high photoluminescence quantum yields of up to 31.2%in the solid *** the meantime,their emission colors can be switched between red and NIR and in the NIR region by mechanical force and solvent vapor,respectively,thereby enabling remarkable and reversible mechanochromism with emission variations of up to 104 *** excitingly,TCQF and TQF can efficiently generate ROS under the illumination of white light and show excellent antimicrobial activities and satisfactory PDT *** by the unique anti-fungus properties,TCQF is employed as a biocompatible NIR photosensitizer for treating wound infection with ***,and apparent PDT effects are *** work provides a new direction for the development of multifunctional NIR materials with AIE properties.

以无产阶级政党理论为指导的中国共产党,也依赖一定的技术基础以维系其组织的严密性与动员的广泛性。对大革命失败后的中共而言,印刷工作在凝聚党员、维系组织、保持行动一致性等方面有着不可替代的作用。在革命重心由城市转向农村后的大势中,机器设备、技术人员与基本物资的匮乏使中共的印刷工作遭受诸多限制。随着斗争的深入,中共在闽赣地区通过地方汲取、外地调配与资源再造等方式力图构建新的生产网络,试图最大限度地缓解困境。印力配置、技术调用与对印版文章的反思,呈现了技术与革命之间复杂的互动关系,更凸显了中共政治文化的独特面相。

As the elderly population expands,the pursuit of therapeutics to reduce morbidity and extend lifespan has become increasingly *** an FDA-approved drug for chronic cholestatic liver diseases,tauroursodeoxycholic acid(TUDCA),a natural bile acid,offers additional health benefits beyond liver ***,we show that TUDCA extends the lifespan and healthspan of ***,oral supplementation of TUDCA improves fitness in old mice,including clinically relevant phenotypes,exercise capacity and cognitive ***,TUDCA treatment drives broad transcriptional changes correlated with anti-aging ***,we discover that TUDCA targets the chaperone HSP90 to promote its protein refolding *** collaboration further alleviates aging-induced endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress and facilitates protein homeostasis,thus offering resistance to *** summary,our findings uncover new molecular links between an endogenous metabolite and protein homeostasis,and propose a novel anti-aging strategy that could improve both lifespan and healthspan.

In recent years,α-Fe_(2)O_(3)electrode material is considered to be one of the most potential anode materials for asym-metric supercapacitors(ASCs).But the poor electrical conductivity restricts its wide *** is an effective solution to improve electrical conductivity by compositing conductive polymer ***,we prepare severalα-Fe_(2)O_(3)@PPy electrode materials on nickel foam by a facile solvothermal method and a subsequent electro-chemical deposition *** as-obtainedα-Fe_(2)O_(3)@PPy-70 product is utilized as negative material for supercapacitors,which delivers a speciflc capacity of 1050 mF·cm^(-2)at 1 mA·cm^(-2).In addition,the assembled asymmetric capacitor shows an energy density of 0.178 mWh·cm^(-3)at 7.09 mW·cm^(-3),and the capacity retention rate after cycling is 87.5%.

Market participants can only bid with lagged information disclosure under the existing market mechanism,which can lead to information asymmetry and irrational market behavior,thus influencing market *** promote rational bidding behavior of market participants and improve market efficiency,a novel electricity market mechanism based on cloudedge collaboration is proposed in this *** market information,called residual demand curve,is published to market participants in real-time on the cloud side,while participants on the edge side are allowed to adjust their bids according to the information disclosure prior to closure *** proposed mechanism can encourage rational bids in an incentive-compatible way through the process of dynamic equilibrium while protecting participants’*** paper further formulates the mathematical model of market equilibrium to simulate the process of each market participant’s strategic bidding behavior towards equilibrium.A case study based on the IEEE 30-bus system shows the proposed market mechanism can effectively guide bidding behavior of market participants,while condensing exchanged information and protecting privacy of participants.
