BACKGROUND Gastric duplication cysts are very rare disease that are mainly diagnosed by endoscopic ultrasonographic fine-needle aspiration *** the past,this disease was usually treated with traditional surgery and rarely with minimally invasive endoscopic ***,minimally invasive endoscopic therapy has many advantages,such as no skin wound,organ preservation,postoperative pain reduction,early food intake,fewer postoperative complications,and shorter post-procedure *** SUMmaRY We report a case of endoscopic ultrasonography-guided fine-needle aspiration(EUS-FNA)combined with lauromacrogol sclerotherapy for pyloric obstruction due to gastric duplication *** EUS-FNA combined with lauromacrogol sclerotherapy provides a new option for the treatment of gastrointestinal duplication cysts.

In this study, a historic simulation covering the period from 1951 to 2000 and three projected scenario simulations covering 2001-2050 were conducted em- ploying the regional climate model RegCM4 to detect the changes of terrestrial water storage （TWS） in major river basins of China, using the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change （IPCC） Special Report on Emissions Scenarios （SRES）： A1B, A2, and B1. The historic simula- tion revealed that the variations of TWS, which are dominated by precipitation in the basins, rely highly on their climatic features. Compared with the historic simu- lation, the changes of TWS in the scenario simulations showed strong regional differences. However, for all sce- narios, TWS was found to increase most in Northeast China and surrounding mountains around the Tibetan Plateau, and decrease most in eastern regions of China. Unlike the low seasonal variations of TWS in arid areas, the TWS showed strong seasonal variations in eastern monsoon areas, with the maximum changes usually oc- curring in summer, when TWS increases most in a year. Among the three scenario simulations, TWS increased most in Songhua River Basin of B1 scenario, and de- creased most in Pearl River Basin of A2 scenario and Hal River Basin of A1B scenario, accompanied by different annual trends and seasonal variations.

Electromagnetic(EM)metamaterials are artificially engineered materials with extraordinary EM properties beyond the limit of existing nat-ural materials;thus,they have been widely used to manipulate the amplitude,phase,polarization,frequency,wave vector,waveform,and other degrees of freedom of EM waves in many practical *** this review,we will summarize recent advances in this flourishing field of EM metamateri-als,first from the perspectives of the classical regime and then the quantum *** specifically,in the classical regime,traditional EM metamate-rials are based on effective medium theory,and they have limitations of fixed functionalities and an inability to control EM waves in real *** over-come these restrictions,information metamaterials,including digital coding and field-programmable metamaterials,have recently been proposed to en-able real-time manipulation of EM waves based on the theory of information *** taking advantage of information metamaterials and artificial in-telligence,another crucial milestone of intelligent metamaterials has been achieved in the development of classical *** overviewing EM metamaterials in the classical regime,we discuss cutting-edge studies of EM metamaterials in the quantum regime,namely,topological metamaterials and quantum *** nonclassical metamaterials show excellent ability to flexibly manipulate the quantum states,and they extend the clas-sical information metamaterials into the field of quantum information *** the end of this review,we will give some conclusions and perspectives on this fast-evolving field.

A novel method of fast and sensitive SERS detection using Gma-EDma porous material combined with a miniature device was reported in this study. A 100 μL solution containing sample, silver colloid and NaC1 was evenly mixed to ensure the sample molecules would adsorb onto silver nanoparticles. Then the mixture was added onto the porous material surface slowly, so that the aggregation of silver colloid would stay on the surface while the liquid components would flow away. This technology can improve the sensitivity of SERS detection. By this method, two pesticides tricyclazole and paraquat were successfully detected at concentrations of 5 × 10 3 mg/L and I × 10-3 mg/L, respectively.

Bioinspired drug-delivery system emulating the natural bone healing cascade for diabetic periodontal bone regeneration

In this paper, we investigate the adaptive output feedback control for a class of nonlinear systems with input delay and disturbances. A neural network（NN） observer is designed to estimate the unmeasurable states. Besides, we also develop an auxiliary system to compensate for the effect of the input delay. By the aid of adaptive backstepping technique, an adaptive controller is designed which can guarantee the boundedness of all the signals in the closed-loop systems. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Diabetes mellitus(DM)aggravates periodontitis,resulting in accelerated periodontal bone *** glucose metabolism in DM causes reactive oxygen species(ROS)overproduction resulting in compromised bone healing,which makes diabetic periodontal bone regeneration a major *** by the natural bone healing cascade,a mesoporous silica nanoparticle(MSN)-incorporated PDLLA(poly(DL-lactide))-PEG-PDLLA(PPP)thermosensitive hydrogel with stepwise cargo release is designed to emulate the mesenchymal stem cell“recruitment-osteogenesis”cascade for diabetic periodontal bone *** therapy,SDF-1 quickly escapes from the hydrogel due to diffusion for early rat bone marrow stem cell(rBMSC)***-neously,slow degradation of the hydrogel starts to gradually expose the MSNs for sustained release of metformin,which can scavenge the overproduced ROS under high glucose conditions to reverse the inhibited osteogenesis of rBMSCs by reactivating the AMPK/β-catenin pathway,resulting in regulation of the diabetic microenvironment and facilitation of *** vitro experiments indicate that the hydrogel markedly restores the inhibited migration and osteogenic capacities of rBMSCs under high glucose *** vivo results suggest that it can effectively recruit rBMSCs to the periodontal defect and significantly promote periodontal bone regeneration under type 2 *** conclusion,our work provides a novel therapeutic strategy of a bioinspired drug-delivery system emulating the natural bone healing cascade for diabetic periodontal bone regeneration.

Circular Polarization Hologram Realized by Pancharatnam-Berry Phase in Microwave Frequency

Metasurfaces have shown great potential in controlling the propagation of electromagnetic waves, making them suitable for holographic beam-shaping elements. Using the principle of array synthesis, holograms have been realized in microwave frequency to manipulate electromagnetic waves to generate specific field patterns. However, current research is almost based on linear polarization and has little analysis on the circular polarization microwave hologram. Herein, we propose a circular polarization hologram realized by sub-wavelength units with self-adaptively phase profiles of electromagnetic waves. The full, continuous control of the phase is achieved by using a single structure unit based on the Pancharatnam-Berry phase. The inhomogeneity of wave-front is considered through amplitude and phase compensation which are essential to improve the quality of microwave hologram. The model achieves circular polarization hologram in microwave frequency and the clear field pattern is generated. The circular polarization hologram enriched the research field of microwave imaging, thus providing more inspirations for the development of various related techniques.

Controlling the polarization state of electromagnetic waves is an important topic in microwaves due to the enormous application potential in radar technology and mobile communications. Here, we propose a programmable metasurface based on single-pole double-throw switches to realize multifunctional polarization conversions.A structure of the double-sided metallic pattern is adopted in the metasurface, in which a novel double-pole double-throw hub is achieved to guide the energy direction. Such a mechanism successfully induces multiple transmission channels into the metasurface structure for functional design. By controlling the states of the switches with a field programmable gate array, the x-and y-polarizations of the incident waves can be efficiently modulated into linear co-and cross-polarizations of transmitted waves, suggesting a higher degree of freedom on wave manipulations. The proposed metasurface can be developed as a near-field information encoder to transmit binary coding sequence according to the energy distribution. Character transmissions are realized by programming binary ASCII codes on the transmitted fields. Nine supercells on the metasurface can encode 9-bit binary information in one frame of near-field imaging, which can be switched in real time with high speed. We envision that this work will develop digital coding applications to control the polarization information.
