Response to weaning and dietary L-glutamine supplementation:metabolomic analysis in piglets by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry

A novel metabolomic method based on gas chromatography/mass spectrometry （GC-MS） was applied to determine the metabolites in the serum of piglets in response to weaning and dietary L-glutamine （Gin） supplementation. Thirty-six 21-d-old piglets were randomly assigned into three groups. One group continued to suckle from the sows （suckling group）, whereas the other two groups were weaned and their diets were supplemented with 1% （w/w） Gin or isonitrogenous L-alanine, respectively, representing Gin group or control group. Serum samples were collected to characterize metabolites after a 7-d treatment. Results showed that twenty metabolites were down-regulated significantly （P〈0.05） in control piglets compared with suckling ones. These data demonstrated that early weaning causes a wide range of metabolic changes across arginine and proline metabolism, aminosugar and nucleotide metabolism, galactose metabolism, glycerophospholipid metabolism, biosynthesis of unsaturated fatty acid, and fatty acid metabolism. Dietary Gin supplementation increased the levels of creatinine, D-xylose, 2-hydroxybutyric acid, palmitelaidic acid, and a-L-galactofuranose （P〈0.05） in eady weaned piglets, and were involved in the arginine and proline metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, and fatty acid metabolism. A leave-one-out cross-validation of random forest analysis indicated that creatinine was the most important metabolite among the three groups. Notably, the concentration of creatinine in control piglets was decreased （P=0.00001） compared to the suckling piglets, and increased （P=0.0003） in Gin-supplemented piglets. A correlation network for weaned and suckling piglets revealed that early weaning changed the metabolic pathways, leading to the abnormality of carbohydrate metabolism, amino acid metabolism, and lipid metabolism, which could be partially improved by dietary Gin supplementation. 关于现代企业制度,除了"产权清晰、权责明确、政企分开、管理科学"十六字指导方针外,绝大部分的研究只包括企业的产权结构、组织结构、管理结构三大板块。研究认为,现代企业制度的研究内容应该包括企业生产经营的全部内容,因此在本研究中首次提出从企业的资本结构、治理结构、生产结构、创新结构、效益结构等五大板块对现代企业制度进行研究,是对现代企业制度理论研究的一大突破。在此基础上,文章提出民营企业建立现代企业制度的路径以及政府的辅助路径,希望对民营企业建立现代企业制度这一问题在理论和实践两方面均有所助益。

Carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae infections after liver transplantation:Drug resistance,risk factors and impact on prognosis

Leaching of WO_(3)from sulfuric acid converted product of scheelite in NH_(3)·H_(2)O−NH_(4)HCO_(3)solution

The leaching of sulfuric acid converted product of scheelite in NH_(3)·H_(2)O−NH_(4)HCO_(3)solution was systemically studied to improve sulfuric acid conversion−ammonium salts leaching technology route for ammonium paratungstate *** results showed that the WO_(3)leaching efficiency was about 99%under optimal conditions of 350 r/min,liquid-to-solid ratio of 3 mL/g,1 mol/L NH_(4)HCO_(3),4 mol/L NH_(3)·H_(2)O,25℃,and 15 *** the leaching,CaSO_(4)almost had no change and was still in a banding or rod-like shape in short leaching time,while conglobate CaCO_(3)was gradually formed on the CaSO_(4)surface.A secondary reaction might occur between CaSO_(4)and WO_(4)^(2−),which could be restrained by a certain amount of CO_(3)^(2−)in the *** was no CaCO_(3)phase determined by XRD in leaching residue of converted product for scheelite concentrate under optimal conditions,which was different from that for synthetic *** leaching process could be explained by neutralization reaction of H_(2)WO_(4)and solid transformation of CaSO_(4)in NH_(3)·H_(2)O−NH_(4)HCO_(3)solution.

BACKGROUND: Budd-Chiari syndrome (BCS) is a type of disease characterized by portal hypertension and/or hy- pertension of the inferior vena cava (IVC) due to the ob- struction of the hepatic veins (HV) and/or intrahepatic IVC outlet. Being etiologically complicated and obscure, BCS can be acquired or idiopathic and several gene muta- tions may be contributable. This study was to explore whether prothrombin gene mutation (F G20210A) takes part in the pathogenesis of BCS and to investigate their cor- relativity. METHODS: In 38 proven BCS patients and 70 controls, polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length poly- morphism (PCR-RFLP) was used to find F G20210A mutation. To detect whether there are any mutations, four steps were taken: purification of genome DNA from whole blood, amplification of special fragment by polymerase chain reaction, digestion of the fragment via restriction en- donuclease, and analysis of results by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. RESULTS: F G20210A mutation was not detected in all patients and controls. CONCLUSIONS: No F G20210A mutation exists in Chi- nese patients with BCS, nor correlativity between the oc- currence of BCS and F G20210A mutation. The etiology of BCS in the Chinese needs further investigation.

In situ measurement of environmental γ radiation dose rates of key nuclides for large radioactive surface sources

Fabrication of Ni-Zn spinel ferrite with superior magnetic performance from electric arc furnace dust and iron scale

The Ni-ZnFe_(2)O_(4)(NixZn_(1-x)Fe_(2)O_(4),x=0.4-0.7)spinel was synthesized using Zn2+extracted from electric arc furnace dust(EAFD),nickel chloride hexahydrate,and Fe^(3+)extracted from iron scale as raw *** zinc was selectively extracted from EAFD using CaO roasting followed by NH_(4)Cl solution *** ferric ion was leached from iron scale using HCl solution as acid *** experimental results demonstrate a high level of efficiency in the extraction of zinc,with a rate of 97.5%,and the leaching rate of ferric ion is 96.89%.The composition of the leaching solution is primary zinc and iron with low calcium,which is beneficial to the preparation of spinel *** influence of Ni content(x)and calcination temperature on the synthesis and magnetic properties of NixZn_(1-x)Fe_(2)O_(4)compounds was investigated by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and vibrating sample *** results revealed that both Ni content and calcination temperature significantly affect the synthesis and magnetic properties of spinel NixZn_(1-x)Fe_(2)O_(4).Under the conditions of Ni content set at x=0.6,calcination temperature of 1100℃,and a duration of 2 h,a spinel NixZn_(1-x)Fe_(2)O_(4)with high saturation magnetization(Ms=65.7 A m2 kg-1)and low coercivity(Hc=0.056 A m^(-1))was obtained.

Hydraulic conductivity over a wide suction range of loess with different dry densities

Experimental research into the hydraulic conductivity curve (HCC) of unsaturated soil is limited due to the inherent challenge associated with labor, cost, and time. Typically, the HCC is estimated using the soil water characteristic curve (SWCC) based models and saturated hydraulic conductivity (SHC). However, the efficiency of the SWCC-based model is rarely assessed, and the influence of soil density and pore structure on HCC remains incomplete due to limited experimental data. To address this gap, this study employs an innovative filter-paper-based column method, which can measure the HCC over a wide suction range (e.g. 0−105 kPa), to capture the HCCs of both intact and compacted specimens with varying dry densities. The efficiency of two typical SWCC-based models is assessed using the measured data. Meanwhile, the mercury intrusion porosity (MIP) technique is employed to obtain the pore characteristic (i.e. pore size distribution (PSD)) and a method of predicting the HCC using the PSD data is proposed, emphasizing the dominant role of the pore structure in shaping the HCC. The results reveal that the dry density's influence on the HCC is primarily observed within the low suction range, corresponding to variations in the dominant and large pores. In the high suction range, the HCCs align along a linear trajectory when plotted in a log-log format. A notable finding is the overestimation of the HCC obtained from the SWCC-based models using the measured SHC. When the SHC is regarded as a fitting parameter, good agreement is achieved. The adjusted SHC value is typically 0-1 order of magnitude lower than the measured value, and this discrepancy diminishes as dry density increases. On the other hand, the proposed PSD-based model performs well with the measured SHC data. Caution is exercised when using the SHC to estimate the HCC for modeling water movement in partially saturated soil.
