Nursing effect of narrative nursing intervention on postoperative patients with severe lung cancer

BACKGROUND Lung cancer is a common disease with high mortality,and psychological support is very important in the diagnosis and treatment of postoperative patients with cancer *** To explore the application effect of the narrative nursing method in postoperative lung cancer patients in the intensive care *** A total of 120 patients diagnosed with lung cancer and experiencing cancer-related pain were randomly allocated into two groups:an observation group and a control group,each consisting of 60 *** control group was given routine analgesic and psychological care,while the research group applied the five-step narrative nursing method based on routine care,comparing the visual analogue scale scores,sleep status,anxiety and depression status,and quality of life of the two groups of patients before and after the *** The pain scores,anxiety scores,and depression scores of the study group were lower than those of the control group after the intervention using the narrative nursing method,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Using narrative nursing methods to intervene in patients with lung cancer combined with cancerous pain can help patients to correctly recognize their disease,adjust their mentality,establish confidence,alleviate patients'subjective pain feelings,and improve their adverse emotions.

Investigating the reactivation of historical landslides during the 2022 Luding M_(S)6.8 earthquake

On September 5,2022,a strong earthquake with a magnitude of MS6.8 struck Luding County in Sichuan Province,China,triggering thousands of landslides along the Dadu River in the northwest-southeast(NW-SE)*** investigated the reactivation characteristics of historical landslides within the epicentral area of the Luding earthquake to identify the initiation mechanism of earthquake-induced *** of the two newly triggered and historical landslides were analyzed using manual and threshold methods;the spatial distribution of landslides was assessed in relation to topographical and geological factors using remote sensing *** study sheds light on the spatial distribution patterns of landslides,especially those that occur above historical landslide *** results revealed a similarity in the spatial distribution trends between historical landslides and new ones induced by *** landslides tend to be concentrated within a range of 0.2 km from the river and 2 km from the ***,both rivers and faults predominantly influenced the reactivation of historical ***,the reactivated landslides are characterized by their small to medium size and are predominantly situated in historical landslide *** number of reactivated landslides surpassed that of previously documented historical landslides within the study *** provide insights into the critical factors responsible for historical landslides during the 2022 Luding earthquake,thereby enhancing our understanding of the potential implications for future co-seismic hazard assessments and mitigation strategies.

Coordination polymerization of renewable β-ocimene has been investigated using asymmetric diiminophosphinate lutetium complex1, β-diketiminate yttrium complex 2, bis(phosphino)carbazolide yttrium complex 3, half-sandwich benzyl fluorenyl scandium complex 4 and pyridyl-methylene-fluorenyl rare-metal complexes 5a–5c. Complexes 1, 4 and 5a–5c show trans-1,2-regioselectivities and high activities, of which 5c exhibits excellent isoselectivity(mmmm>99%). Conversely, complexes 2 and 3 promote β-ocimene polymerization to produce isotactic cis-1,4-polyocimenes(cis-1,4>99%, mm>95%). Diblock copolymers cis-1,4-PIP-block-cis-1,4-POc and cis-1,4-PBD-block-cis-1,4-POc are obtained in one-pot reactions of β-ocimene with isoprene and butadiene using complex 3. Epoxidation and hydroxylation of polyocimene afford functionalized polyolefins with enhanced T_(g)(from-20 ℃ to 79 ℃ and 74 ℃) and hydrophilicity.

Effective utilization of dolomitic lead-zinc waste rock by replacing dolomite as flux in iron ore sintering process

With increasingly stringent environmental protection policies,cost-effective and value-added treatment of massive lead-zinc waste rock(LZWR)generated from the preconcentration process has attracted substantial attention.A type of dolomitic LZWR with 18 wt.%MgO,27 wt.%CaO,0.29 wt.%Zn and 1.43 wt.%S was used as a replacement flux in the iron ore sintering *** sinter pot tests were carried out based on an industrial ore *** results show that replacing 0%-60%of dolomite with LZWR does not adversely affect the sintering productivity,fuel consumption rate,and the quality of the sinter products,while the Zn and S elements contained in LZWR can be effectively removed with the residual Zn and S contents of the resultant sinter products being less than 0.02 and 0.055 wt.%,***,substituting LZWR for dolomite as a flux inevitably increases the SO_(2) concentration in the sintering flue gas due to its high sulfur *** the processing capacity of the sintering flue gas desulfurization system,the replacement ratio of dolomite can reach 40%,equal to LZWR consumption of 24.3 kg per ton of *** SO_(2) in sintering flue gas can be recovered to produce(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4) or HSO_(4),while the volatilized Zn collected into the zinc-containing dust can be subsequently recycled by the rotary hearth furnace ***,it is technologically and economically feasible to use the LZWR as a replacement flux in the iron ore sintering process,providing a new way for the safe,large-scale and low-cost treatment of LZWR.

Background: Hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury (HIRI) stands as an unavoidable complication arising from liver surgery, profoundly intertwined with its prognosis. The role of lysine methyltransferase SET domain bifurcated 1 (SETDB1) in HIRI remains elusive, despite its confirmation as a potential therapeutic target for diverse diseases. Here, we investigated the mechanism by which SETDB1 regulated HIRI. Methods: RNA sequencing data were used to identify the expression and potential targets of SETDB1 through bioinformatics analysis. To elucidate the impact of SETDB1 on HIRI, both an in vivo model of HIRI in mice and an in vitro model of hepatocyte hypoxia/reoxygenation were established. Biochemical and histological analyses were used to investigate the influence of SETDB1 on liver damage mediated by HIRI. Chromatin immunoprecipitation and coimmunoprecipitation were implemented to explore the in-depth mechanism of SETDB1 regulating HIRI. Results: We confirmed that hepatocellular SETDB1 was up-regulated during HIRI and had a close correlation with HIRI-related inflammation and apoptosis. Moreover, inhibition of SETDB1 could mitigate HIRI-induced liver damage, inflammation, and apoptosis. Through our comprehensive mechanistic investigation, we revealed that SETDB1 interacts with apoptosis-signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1) and facilitates the methylation of its lysine residues. Inhibition of SETDB1 resulted in reduced phosphorylation of ASK1, leading to a marked suppression of downstream c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK)/p38 signaling pathway activation. The therapeutic effect on inflammation and apoptosis achieved through SETDB1 inhibition was nullified by the restoration of JNK/p38 signaling activation through ASK1 overexpression. Conclusions: The findings from our study indicate that SETDB1 mediates lysine methylation of ASK1 and modulates the activation of the ASK1–JNK/p38 pathway, thus involved in HIRI-induced inflammation and apoptosis. Various material design strategies have been developed to enhance photocatalytic performance of TiO_(2).However,no report is available on applications of the photopiezocatalysis strategy on TiO_(2)due to its lack of *** we developed a low-temperature molten salt etching process to create rutile TiO_(2)nanoparticles by etching[MgO_(6)]octahedrons away from MgTiO_(3)by molten NH_(4)Cl,during which a lattice distortion occurred in TiO_(2).The lattice distortion broke the structure symmetry of rutile TiO_(2)and subsequently endowed these rutile TiO_(2)nanoparticles with an unusual piezoelectric response with the maximum effective piezoelectric coefficient(d_(33))of~41.6 pm/V,which had not previously been found in TiO_(2)***,the photopiezocatalysis strategy was applied for the first time to enhance the photocatalytic performance of these TiO_(2)*** creation of lattice distortion to induce piezoelectricity could be extended to other photocatalysts that the photopiezocatalysis strategy has not been applied to and may generate novel functionalities for various technical applications.

Non-linear relationship between age and subfoveal choroidal thickness in Chinese patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy
