Immunohistochemical analysis of PD-L1 and tumor-infiltrating immune cells expression in the tumor microenvironment of primary signet ring cell carcinoma of the prostate

Primary signet ring cell carcinoma(SRCC)of the prostate is a rare ***,its potential tumorigenic mechanism,clinicopathological features,and prognostic outcome have not been systematically *** determine the pathogenic mechanism,we detected distributions of programmed cell death-ligand 1(PD-L1),programmed death 1(PD-1),and cellular components in the tumor microenvironment,including tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes(CD4 and CD8),tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs;CD163 and CD68),and tumor-associated fibroblasts(vimentin and alpha-smooth muscle actin[α-SMA]),in tumor tissues from four patients with primary prostatic SRCC compared with corresponding adjacent tissues and tumor tissues from 30 patients with prostate adenocarcinoma(PCa)by immunohistochemical *** found higher expression of PD-L1,CD163,and CD68 in primary SRCC specimens than that in both corresponding adjacent nontumor specimens and PCa specimens with different Gleason scores,indicating that TAMs may participate in the malignant biological behavior of primary SRCC of the *** further analysis,we searched electronic journal databases and Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results(SEER)to identify 200 eligible patients including our four *** to Kaplan–Meier survival curve analysis,patients<68 years old,with radical prostatectomy(RP),Gleason score of 7–8,and lower clinical stage had longer overall survival(OS).Moreover,Cox multivariate analysis indicated that race(hazard ratio[HR]=1.422),surgical approach(HR=1.654),and Gleason score(HR=2.162)were independent prognostic factors for ***,primary SRCC of the prostate represents a distinct and aggressive subtype of prostate cancer associated with a higher distribution of PD-L1 and TAMs,which warrants further clinical investigation.

Z-curve’s encoding and decoding algorithms are primely important in many Z-curve-based *** bit interleaving algorithm is the current state-of-the-art algorithm for encoding and decoding *** simple,its efficiency is hindered by the step-by-step coordinate shifting and bitwise *** tackle this problem,we first propose the efficient encoding algorithm LTFe and the corresponding decoding algorithm LTFd,which adopt two optimization methods to boost the algorithm’s efficiency:1)we design efficient lookup tables(LT)that convert encoding and decoding operations into table-lookup operations;2)we design a bit detection mechanism that skips partial order of a coordinate or a Z-value with consecutive 0s in the front,avoiding unnecessary iterative *** propose order-parallel and point-parallel OpenMP-based algorithms to exploit the modern multi-core *** results on discrete,skewed,and real datasets indicate that our point-parallel algorithms can be up to 12.6×faster than the existing algorithms.

CaH2-promoted activity of Ni-carbonate interface for CO2 methanation

Transition metal-carbonate interfaces often act as active sites in heterogeneous catalytic *** interface between transition metal and metal carbonate exhibits a dynamic equilibrium during the CO2hydrogenation reaction,involving surface carbonate hydrogenation and ***,there have been few reports on engineering the activity of the interface between transition metal and alkaline earth metal carbonate for catalytic *** work demonstrated that the incorporation of CaH2in Ni/CaCO3enhances the CO2methanation activity of the *** CO2conversion for Ni/CaH2-CaCO3reached 68.5%at 400°C,which was much higher than that of the Ni/CaCO3（31.6%） and Ni/CaH2-CaO （42.4%） ***,the Ni/CaH2-CaCO3catalysts remained stable during the stability test for 24 h at 400°C and 8 *** research revealed that CaH2played a crucial role in promoting the activity of the Ni-carbonate interface for ***2could modify the electronic structure of Ni and tune the structural properties of CaCO3to generate medium basic sites （OH groups）,which are favorable for the activation of H2and ***-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR） analysis combined with density functional theory calculations demonstrated that CO2activation occurs at the hydroxyl group （OH） on the CaH2-modified Ni-carbonate surface,leading to the formation of CO3H****,our study has confirmed that CO2methanation over the Ni/CaH2-CaCO3catalysts proceeds via the formate pathway.

Study on UV, IR and NMR Spectra of Double Hydrogen-bonded Complexes

AM 1, PM3 and DPT methods were used to study on the hydrogen-bonded dimer of melamine and [ 1,3] dioxane-2,4,6-trione. The electronic spectra, IR and NMR spectra of some complexes were calculated with INDO/SCI, AM 1 and B3LYP/6-31G（d） methods, respectively. It is demonstrated that the negative stability energy is responsible for the formation of the complexes. Stabilization energies of these complexes were altered among the variations of electric property and steric effects of the monomers. HOMO-LUMO energy gaps were shrunk and the blue-shift of absorptions in the electronic spectra occurred. The vibrations of N-H bonds and chemical shifts of the protons changed with the formation of hydrogen bonds.

Theoretical Studies on Electronic Structures and Spectroscopy of Fluorescent Arylamino Fumaronitrile

A new series of fluorescent arylamino fumarinitrile derivatives was designed and optimized using density function theory at the B3LYP/6-31G^＊ level. Based on the optimized geometries, the electronic, fluorescent and 13C NMR spectra are calculated with INDO/CIS, CIS-ZINDO TD, and B3LYP/6-31G^＊ methods, respectively. Starting with the first of the series, the LUMO-HOMO energy gaps of the derivatives become wider and the fluorescent wavelengths and the main peaks in the electronic spectra are blue-shifted owing to the large steric effect of naphthyl rings. On the contrary, the energy gaps of the derivatives turn narrow, and the fluorescent wavelengths and the main peaks in the electronic spectra are red-shifted since hydroxyl groups improve the symmetry and extend the conjugation system. The chemical shifts of sp^2-C on the phenyl rings are moved upfield, while chemical shifts of carbon atoms on the cyano groups and those connected with the cyano groups are changed downfield in the presence of hydroxyl groups.

Solution-phase synthesis of inorganic nanostructures by chemical transformation from reactive templates

The solution-phase synthesis by chemical transformation from reactive templates has proved to be very effective in morphology-controlled synthesis of inorganic nanostructures. This review paper summarizes the recent progress in solution-phase synthesis of one-dimensional and hollow inorganic nanostructures via reactive templates, focusing on the approaches developed in our lab. The formation mechanisms based on reactive templates are discussed in depth to show the general concepts for the preparation processes. An outlook on the future development in this area is also presented.

Investigation on Electronic Structures and Spectra for the Substituted Fullerene C_(77)B^-

The structures and stabilities of all the 21 possible isomers for C77B^- based on C78 （C2v） were studied by the INDO series of methods. The most two stable geometries are C77B^-（10） and C77B^-（7）, where B（10） and B（7） are located at the apexes among two hexagons and a pentagon near the shortest axis of C78 （C2v）, and the former is more stable than the latter by 0.1902 eV. Based on the optimized geometries, the electronic spectra of the C77B^- isomers were investigated with the INDO/CIS method and the electronic transitions were assigned. The reason for the red-shift of the first absorption peaks for C77B^- compared with that of C78 （C2v） was discussed.

Stabilities and Electronic Spectra for C_(78)O_2 Isomers

Structures and stabilities of 22 possible isomers for C78O2 based on C78（C2v） were studied by INDO series of methods. The most stable geometry is that two oxygen atoms are added to 1,2-bond crossed by the shortest z axis and 32,35-bond near the longest x axis in C78（C2v）,in agreement with the experiment of adducts for C78（C2v）. 1,2,32,35-C78O2 is more stable than 1,2,19,22-C78O2 by 0.12 kcal/mol and epoxide structures are formed in each isomer. Electronic spectra for C78O2 were investigated with INDO/CIS method. The reason of the blue-shift for UV absorptions of 1,2,32,35-C78O2 compared with that of C78（C2v） was discussed and electronic transition was theoretically assigned.
