Tourmaline guiding the electric field and dechlorination pathway of 2,3-dichlorophenol by Desulfitobacterium hafniense

The dehalogenation of organohalides has been a research hotspot in bioremediation field;however,the influence of tourmaline,a natural ore that can generate spontaneous electric field,on organohalide-respiring bacteria(OHRB)and their dechlorination process is not well *** this study,the effect and mechanism of tourmaline on the reductive dechlorination of 2,3-dichlorophenol(2,3-DCP)by Desulfitobacterium hafniense DCB-2Twere *** characterization results confirmed that tourmaline had good stability and the optimal dosage of tourmaline was 2.5 g/L,which shortened the total time required for dechlorination reaction to 72 ***,tourmaline amendment also increased the proportion of 2-chlorophenol(2-CP)from 18%to 30%of end products,while that of 3-CP decreased *** theoretical calculations showed that the bond charge of the orthosubstituted chlorine declined from-0.179 to-0.067,and that of meta-substituted chlorine increased from-0.111 to-0.129,which indicated that the spontaneous electric field of tourmaline affected the charge distribution of 2,3-DCP and was more conducive to the generation of ***,tourmaline with the spontaneous electric field affected the reductive dechlorination pathway of Desulfitobacterium,and the tourmaline-OHRB combining system might serve as a novel strategy for the bioremediation of environments polluted with chlorinated phenols.

Visualization Analysis of the Impact of Rubber Agroforestry Ecosystem on Soil Microbial Community

Rubber agroforestry systems positively impact soil microbial communities. This study employed a bibliometric approach to explore the research status, hotspots, and development trends related to these effects. Using CiteSpace software, we visually analyzed research literature from the Web of Science (WOS) core database, spanning 2004 to 2024. The focus was on the impact of rubber agroforestry ecosystems on soil microbial communities. The results indicate significant attention from Chinese researchers, who have published numerous influential papers in this field. Authors Liu Wenjie have contributed the most papers, although no stable core author group exists. The Chinese Academy of Sciences is the leading research institution in terms of publication volume. While there is close collaboration between different institutions and countries, the intensity of researcher cooperation is low. The most cited literature emphasizes soil nutrients and structure in rubber agroforestry, laying a foundation for soil microorganism studies. Most cited journals are from countries like Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Key research areas include the effects of rubber intercropping on soil microbial communities, agroforestry management, and soil health. Research development can be divided into three stages: the initial stage (2010-2015), the development stage (2015-2020), and the mature stage (2020-2024). Current studies show that rubber intercropping and rubber-based agroforestry systems enhance soil microbial communities, positively impacting soil health. This paper provides a theoretical basis for the sustainable development of rubber agroforestry systems and improved management plans. Future research could explore the effects of species composition on soil microbiological characteristics and develop methods for species interactions. A vicinal oxygen chelate protein facilitates viral infection by triggering the unfolded protein response in Nicotiana benthamiana

Vicinal oxygen chelate(VOC)proteins are members of an enzyme superfamily with dioxygenase or non-dioxygenase ***,the biological functions of VOC proteins in plants are poorly ***,we show that a VOC in Nicotiana benthamiana(NbVOC1)facilitates viral ***1 was significantly induced by infection by beet necrotic yellow vein virus(BNYVV).Transient overexpression of NbVOC1 or its homolog from Beta vulgaris(BvVOC1)enhanced BNYVV infection in ***,which required the nuclear localization of *** with this result,overexpressing NbVOC1 facilitated BNYVV infection,whereas,knockdown and knockout of NbVOC1 inhibited BNYVV infection in transgenic *** ***1 interacts with the basic leucine zipper transcription factors bZIP17/28,which enhances their self-interaction and DNA binding to the promoters of unfolded protein response(UPR)-related *** propose that bZIP17/28 directly binds to the NbVOC1 promoter and induces its transcription,forming a positive feedback loop to induce the UPR and facilitating BNYVV ***,our results demonstrate that NbVOC1 positively regulates the UPR that enhances viral infection in plants.
