Peracetic acid catalytic activation using Co3O4 nanocluster decorated graphitic carbon nitride for cefapirin degradation in water

This study innovated cobalt-based catalytic nanocomposites（CCNs） for the heterogeneous activation of peracetic acid（PAA）,a green and efficient advanced oxidation process for removing antibiotics from *** Co3O4catalysts exhibit limited activity due to stable electronic *** overcome this,CCNs were synthesized using a one-step condensation method,incorporating a size control strategy that anchors Co3O4nanoclusters within 4-5 nm onto six-fold cavity of g-C3N4,simultaneously modifying the coordination environment of *** alteration significantly enhances the adsorption energy of PAA and catalytic activity compared to commercial *** improved performance of CCN2,in particular,is attributed to a shift in the cobalt d band center towards the Fermi level,facilitating electron delocalization and transfer,enhancing Co-O bonding,and accelerating PAA ***2's superior activity,with a cefapirin（CFP） degradation kinetic rate constant(k1=0.760 min-1)～11 times that of PAA direct oxidation(k1=0.070 min-1) and～5 times that of commercial Co3O4/PAA system(k1=0.164 min-1),is due to its ability to generate dominant reactive species for antibiotic degradation,including alkoxy radicals(CH3C（=O）OO·),high valence metal(CoⅣ（=O）2+),and singlet oxygen（1O2）,with the latter two being crucial for the degradation *** degradation of CFP involved three mechanisms,including direct oxidation by PAA,decarboxylation,and open-ring reactions at nitrogen *** research provides insights into developing high-activity catalysts for efficient PAA activation and antibiotic removal,leveraging the strategy of shifting the transition metal d band center.

The lifetime of Si bond coatings in environmental barrier coatings is constrained by phase-transition-induced cracking of the SiO_(2)*** this study,Si-HfO_(2)dual-state duplex composite materials are proposed to address this issue by partially forming HfSiO_(4)and minimizing the SiO_(2)*** as-prepared composite exhibited a structure comprising discrete HfO_(2)“bricks”embedded in a continuous Si“mortar”,while the oxidized state transformed into discrete HfSiO_(4)“bricks”within continuous thin SiO_(2)“mortars”.The results indicate that continuous thin SiO_(2)contributes to reducing the oxidation rate to a level comparable to that of pure Si,and discrete HfSiO_(4)particles aid in relieving phase transition-induced stress and inhibiting crack propagation,thereby enhancing oxidation and cracking resistance ***,the composite with 20 mol%HfO_(2)and a mean particle size of~500 nm at 1370℃exhibited a service lifetime 10 times greater than that of pure *** research provides valuable insights for designing Si-based bond coatings with improved service lifetime.

Ethane,the second most abundant gaseous hydrocarbon in vast anoxic environments,is an overlooked greenhouse *** anaerobic oxidation of ethane can be driven by available electron acceptors such as sulfate and ***,despite nitrite being a more thermodynamically feasible electron acceptor than sulfate or nitrate,little is known about nitrite-driven anaerobic ethane *** this study,a microbial culture capable of nitrite-driven anaerobic ethane oxidation was enriched through the long-term operation of a nitrite-and-ethane-fed *** continuous operation,the nitrite removal rate and the theoretical ethane oxidation rate remained stable at approximately 25.0 mg NO_(2) eN L^(-1) d^(-1) and 11.48 mg C2H6 L^(-1) d^(-1),*** tests demonstrated that ethane is essential for nitrite removal in this microbial *** function analysis revealed that a species affiliated with a novel genus within the family Rhodocyclaceae,designated as'Candidatus Alkanivoras nitrosoreducens',may perform the nitrite-driven anaerobic ethane *** the proposed metabolic model,despite the absence of known genes for ethane conversion to ethyl-succinate and succinate-CoA ligase,'***'encodes a prospective fumarate addition pathway for anaerobic ethane oxidation and a complete denitrification pathway for nitrite reduction to *** findings advance our understanding of nitrite-driven anaerobic ethane oxidation,highlighting the previously overlooked impact of anaerobic ethane oxidation in natural ecosystems.

The human gastrointestinal tract is populated with a diverse microbial *** vast genetic and metabolic potential of the gut microbiome underpins its ubiquity in nearly every aspect of human biology,including health maintenance,development,aging,and *** advent of new sequencing technologies and culture-independent methods has allowed researchers to move beyond correlative studies toward mechanistic explorations to shed light on microbiome–host *** has unveiled the bidirectional communication between the gut microbiome and the central nervous system,referred to as the“microbiota–gut–brain axis”.The microbiota–gut–brain axis represents an important regulator of glial functions,making it an actionable target to ameliorate the development and progression of neurodegenerative *** this review,we discuss the mechanisms of the microbiota–gut–brain axis in neurodegenerative *** the gut microbiome provides essential cues to microglia,astrocytes,and oligodendrocytes,we examine the communications between gut microbiota and these glial cells during healthy states and neurodegenerative ***,we discuss the mechanisms of the microbiota–gut–brain axis in neurodegenerative diseases using a metabolite-centric approach,while also examining the role of gut microbiota-related neurotransmitters and gut ***,we examine the potential of targeting the intestinal barrier,blood–brain barrier,meninges,and peripheral immune system to counteract glial dysfunction in ***,we conclude by assessing the pre-clinical and clinical evidence of probiotics,prebiotics,and fecal microbiota transplantation in neurodegenerative diseases.A thorough comprehension of the microbiota–gut–brain axis will foster the development of effective therapeutic interventions for the management of neurodegenerative diseases.

BACKGROUND Lung cancer is a common disease with high mortality,and psychological support is very important in the diagnosis and treatment of postoperative patients with cancer *** To explore the application effect of the narrative nursing method in postoperative lung cancer patients in the intensive care *** A total of 120 patients diagnosed with lung cancer and experiencing cancer-related pain were randomly allocated into two groups:an observation group and a control group,each consisting of 60 *** control group was given routine analgesic and psychological care,while the research group applied the five-step narrative nursing method based on routine care,comparing the visual analogue scale scores,sleep status,anxiety and depression status,and quality of life of the two groups of patients before and after the *** The pain scores,anxiety scores,and depression scores of the study group were lower than those of the control group after the intervention using the narrative nursing method,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Using narrative nursing methods to intervene in patients with lung cancer combined with cancerous pain can help patients to correctly recognize their disease,adjust their mentality,establish confidence,alleviate patients'subjective pain feelings,and improve their adverse emotions.

SATech-01 is an experimental satellite for space science exploration and on-orbit demonstration of advanced *** satellite is equipped with 16 experimental payloads and supports multiple working modes to meet the observation requirements of various *** to the limitation of platform power supply and data storage systems,proposing reasonable mission planning schemes to improve scientific revenue of the payloads becomes a critical *** this article,we formulate the integrated task scheduling of SATech-01 as a multi-objective optimization problem and propose a novel Fair Integrated Scheduling with Proximal Policy Optimization(FIS-PPO)algorithm to solve *** use multiple decision heads to generate decisions for each task and design the action mask to ensure the schedule meeting the platform *** results show that FIS-PPO could push the capability of the platform to the limit and improve the overall observation efficiency by 31.5%compared to rule-based plans currently ***,fairness is considered in the reward design and our method achieves much better performance in terms of equal task *** of its low computational complexity,our task scheduling algorithm has the potential to be directly deployed on board for real-time task scheduling in future space projects.

Landslide hazard mapping is essential for regional landslide hazard *** main objective of this study is to construct a rainfall-induced landslide hazard map of Luhe County,China based on an automated machine learning framework(AutoGluon).A total of 2241 landslides were identified from satellite images before and after the rainfall event,and 10 impact factors including elevation,slope,aspect,normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI),topographic wetness index(TWI),lithology,land cover,distance to roads,distance to rivers,and rainfall were selected as *** WeightedEnsemble model,which is an ensemble of 13 basic machine learning models weighted together,was used to output the landslide hazard assessment *** results indicate that landslides mainly occurred in the central part of the study area,especially in Hetian and *** 102.44 s were spent to train all the models,and the ensemble model WeightedEnsemble has an Area Under the Curve(AUC)value of92.36%in the test *** addition,14.95%of the study area was determined to be at very high hazard,with a landslide density of 12.02 per square *** study serves as a significant reference for the prevention and mitigation of geological hazards and land use planning in Luhe County.

Li-I_(2) batteries have attracted much interest due to their high capacity,exceptional rate performance,and low *** so,the problems of unstable Li anode/electrolyte interface and severe polyiodide shuttle in Li-I_(2) batteries need to be ***,the interfacial reactions on the Li anode and I_(2) cathode have been effectively optimized by employing a well-designed gel polymer electrolyte strengthened by cross-linked Ti-O/Si-O(GPETS).The interpenetrating network-reinforced GPETS with high ionic conductivity(1.88×10^(-3)S cm^(-1)at 25℃)and high mechanical strength endows uniform Li deposition/stripping over 1800 h(at 1.0mA cm^(-2),with a plating capacity of 3.0mAh cm^(-2)).Moreover,the GPETS abundant in surface hydroxyls is capable of capturing soluble polyiodides at the interface and accelerating their conversion kinetics,thus synergistically mitigating the shuttle *** from these properties,the use of GPETS results in a high capacity of 207 mAh g^(-1)(1 C)and an ultra-low fading rate of 0.013%per cycle over 2000 cycles(5 C).The current study provides new insights into advanced electrolytes for Li-I_(2) batteries.
