Nonlinear optical activities,especially second harmonic generation(SHG),are key phenomena in inversion-symmetrybroken two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs).On the other hand,anisotropic nonlinear optical processes are important for unique applications in nano-nonlinear photonic devices with polarization functions,having become one of focused research topics in the field of nonlinear ***,the strong nonlinearity and strong optical anisotropy do not exist simultaneously in common 2D ***,we demonstrate strong secondorder and third-order susceptibilities of 64 pm/V and 6.2×10^(-19)m^(2)/V^(2),respectively,in the even-layer PdPSe,which has not been discovered in other common TMDCs(e.g.,MoS2).Strikingly,it also simultaneously exhibited strong SHG anisotropy with an anisotropic ratio of~45,which is the largest reported among all 2D materials to date,to the best of our *** addition,the SHG anisotropy ratio can be harnessed from 0.12 to 45(375 times)by varying the excitation wavelength due to the dispersion ofχ^(2)*** an illustrative example,we further demonstrate polarized SHG imaging for potential applications in crystal orientation identification and polarization-dependent spatial *** findings in 2D PdPSe are promising for nonlinear nanophotonic and optoelectronic applications.

In this paper,we propose a long short-term memory(LSTM)deep learning model to deal with the smoothed monthly sunspot number(SSN),aiming to address the problem whereby the prediction results of the existing sunspot prediction methods are not uniform and have large *** method optimizes the number of hidden nodes and batch sizes of the LSTM network structures to 19 and 20,*** best length of time series and the value of the timesteps were then determined for the network training,and one-step and multi-step predictions for Cycle 22 to Cycle 24 were made using the well-established *** results showed that the maximum root-mean-square error(RMSE)of the one-step prediction model was6.12 and the minimum was only *** maximum amplitude prediction error of the multi-step prediction was 17.2%and the minimum was only 3.0%.Finally,the next solar cycles(Cycle 25)peak amplitude was predicted to occur around 2023,with a peak value of about *** accuracy of this prediction method is better than that of the other commonly used methods,and the method has high applicability.

A method for optimizing the spectral distortion of an ultrafast pulse in a polarization-maintaining picosecond linear-cavity fiber laser with a one-stage fiber amplifier is proposed and demonstrated. The mechanism of control of the spectral distortion in the fiber system has been investigated. The experimental and theoretical results illustrate that the filtering effect of a fiber Bragg grating can effectively decrease the spectral oscillatory distortion accumulated by self-phase modulation. Injected into a Nd:YAG regenerative amplifier, the ultrafast pulse could produce high pulse energy of 1.2 mJ at a repetition rate of 1 kHz.

Tissue expression and stock variation of isozymes of stone flounder （Kareius bicoloratus） were analyzed with horizontal starch gel electrophoresis. For the fourteen enzymes assayed, 31 loci were recorded. The results indicated that all the isozymes examined were obviously tissue-specific. The expressions of SOD＊, GDH＊, G3PDH-2＊ and ADH-2＊ were detected only in liver, SDH-1＊, MDH-1＊ and ADH-1＊ only in muscle, and LDH-B＊ and LDH-C＊ only in eyes. In comparison, MDH-2＊, GPI-3＊ and SDH-2＊ were detected in all tissues examined. Other loci examined were detected in a variety of tissues. Muscle and liver were selected to detect the isozyme variation of the two geographic stocks of qingdao and Weihai, Shandong Province, China. The percentages of polymorphic loci （P0.99） were 29.17% and 25.00%, the observed heterozygosities （H0） were 0.028 ±0.014 and 0.040 ± 0.019, and the expected heterozygosities （He） were 0.039±0.017 and 0.052±0.022 in qingdao and Wethai stock, respectively. The coefficient of gene differentiation （Fst） and genetic distance （D） between the two stocks was 0.012 and 0.0011, respectively, indicating that the genetic differentiation is low between them. Compared with other species of Pleuronectiformes, both the percentage of polymorphic loci and the mean heterozygosity ofK. Bicoloratus were at a middle level.

A cytogenetic analysis of Paralichthys olivaceus was carried out using the flow cytometry method for DNA content, silver staining for the nucleolus organizer region （AgNORs） identification and one-color fluorescence in situ hybridization （FISH） for chromosomal mapping of major ribosomal genes. Nuclear DNA content was estimated by flow cytometry method using Gallus domesticus erythrocytes as the internal reference standard. The C-value of this species was （0.737±0.024） pg, and the DNA contents of each chromosome were estimated to be 16.51 Mb to 39.50 Mb after paired according to the average relative length. The FISH probe was made by PCR amplification of a DNA fragment containing internal transcribed spacers ITS1 between 18S and 5.8S ribosomal RNA gene, and labeled by PCR incorporation of bio-16-dUTP. FISH signals and AgNORs were both located on the secondary constrictions of chromosome 1. These results will provide a better understanding of the cytogenetic information of this species and would help for further research of the karyotype evolution in the order Pleuronectiformes.

In fish,sex determination(SD) system shows high variation. The SD mechanisms include environmental and genetic regulation. The research on SD system and related genes in intensively studied fish species was reviewed. Although some genes have been described as sex-related,only DMRT1bY can be considered as a master sex determination gene and none of them has been utilized in aquaculture. The variation of fish SD system,the importance of sex-related genes in evolution research and the relations between environmental factors and sex-related genes were also discussed. The fish sex determination mechanism remains largely unknown. Further research needs to be done considering the significance of fish SD studies in basic and applied aspects.

Phonon polariton resonances in the mid-infrared spectral range demonstrate properties superior to noble metal-based plasmonics,owing to smaller dissipative loss and better field ***,a conventional way to excite the localized phonon resonance involves ion etching,which reduces the attainable quality factors(Q-factors)of the *** show that by introducing a deep subwavelength layer of dielectric gratings on a phononic substrate,localized dipolar resonance and higher order modes with high Q-factors 96 and 195,respectively,can be *** further demonstrate,via experiments and simulations,that the resonant wavelength and field confinement can be controlled by coupling the localized hybrid mode with propagating surface *** also observed for the first time the coupling between a localized dipolar mode and a propagating higher-order surface phonon-polariton *** results will be useful in designing on-chip,low-loss,and highly integrated phononic devices in the infrared spectral domain.
