In this article,we provide commentary on the recent article by Zhao et *** focus on the shifts in the gut microbiota of patients with hepatitis b virus(hbV)-associated cirrhosis/portal hypertension(Ph)following transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS)and the implications for understanding the mechanisms,diagnosis,and *** comparing the gut microbiota composition and dynamic changes before and after TIPS in patients with and without hepatic encephalopathy,the authors found an increase in non-probiotic bacteria in those who developed hepatic encephalopathy post-TIPS,with Morganella species present only in the hepatic encephalopathy *** gut microbiota changes post-TIPS among patients without the occurrence of hepatic encephalopathy suggest potential therapeutic benefits through prophylactic microbiome ***,the specific gut microbiota alterations may hold promise to predict the risk of hepatic encephalopathy in individuals undergoing TIPS for hbVrelated *** these promising findings,future studies are needed to address limitations,including a small sample size,a relatively short evaluation period for gut microbiota alterations,the absence of data on dynamic alterations in gut microbiota post-TIPS and their correlation with.b.ood ammonia levels,and the lack of validation in animal *** conclusion,Zhao et al's study has shed new light on the link of gut microbiota with post-TIPS hepatic encephalopathy,potentially through the intricate gut-liver axis,and has important clinical implications for improving the management of patients with hbV-related Ph.

The multicolor Ramsey number r_(k)(C_(4))is the smallest integer N such that any k-edge coloring of KN contains a monochromatic C_(4).The current best upper bound of r_(k)(C_(4))was obtained by Chung(1974)and independently by Irving(1974),i.e.,r_(k)(C_(4))≤k^(2)+k+1 for all k≥*** is no progress on the upper bound since *** this paper,we improve the upper bound of r_(k)(C_(4))by showing that r_(k)(C_(4))≤k^(2)+k-1 for even k≥*** improvement is based on the upper bound of the Turan number ex(n,C4),in which we mainly use the double counting method and many novel ideas from Firke,Kosek,Nash,and Williford[***,Ser.b 103(2013),327-336].

Dibromoethane is a widespread,persistent organic *** are known mediators of reductive dehalogenation by layered Fe^(Ⅱ)-Fe^(Ⅲ)hydroxides(green rust),which can reduce 1,2-dibromoethane to innocuous bromide and ***,the critical characteristics that determine mediator functionality are lesser *** biochar substrates were pyrolyzed at 600℃and 800℃,characterized by elemental analysis,X-ray photo spectrometry C and N surface speciation,X-ray powder diffraction,specific surface area analysis,and tested for mediation of reductive debromination of 1,2-dibromoethane by a green rust reductant under anoxic conditions.A statistical analysis was performed to determine the biochar properties,critical for debromination kinetics and total debromination *** was shown that selected plant based biochars can mediate debromination of 1,2-dibromoethane,that the highest first order rate constant was 0.082/hr,and the highest debromination extent was 27%in reactivity experiments with 0.1μmol(20μmol/L)1,2-dibromoethane,≈22 mmol/L Fe^(Ⅱ)GR,and 0.12 g/L soybean meal biochar(7 days).Contents of Ni,Zn,N,and P,and the relative contribution of quinone surface functional groups were significantly(ph 1,2-dibromoethane debromination,while adsorption,specific surface area,and the relative contribution of pyridinic N oxide surface groups were significantly negatively correlated with debromination.

Initial success has been achieved in hong Kong in controlling primary air pollutants,but ambient ozone levels kept increasing during the past three *** organic compounds(VOCs)are important for mitigating ozone pollution as its major *** study analyzed VOC characteristics of roadside,suburban,and rural sites in hong Kong to investigate their compositions,concentrations,and source *** showthat the TVOC concentrations were 23.05±13.24,12.68±15.36,and 5.16±5.48 ppbv for roadside,suburban,and rural sites between May 2015 to June 2019,*** using Positive Matrix Factorization(PMF)model,six sources were identified at the roadside site over five years:Liquefied petroleum gas(LPG)usage(33%–46%),gasoline evaporation(8%–31%),aged air mass(11%–28%),gasoline exhaust(5%–16%),diesel exhaust(2%–16%)and fuel filling(75–9%).Similarly,six sources were distinguished at the suburban site,including LPG usage(30%–33%),solvent usage(20%–26%),diesel exhaust(14%–26%),gasoline evaporation(8%–16%),aged air mass(4%–11%),and biogenic emissions(2%–5%).At the rural site,four sources were identified,including aged airmass(33%–51%),solvent usage(25%–30%),vehicular emissions(11%–28%),and biogenic emissions(6%–12%).The analysis further revealed that fuel filling and LPG usage were the primary contributors to OFP and Oh reactivity at the roadside site,while solvent usage and biogenic emissions accounted for almost half of OFP and Oh reactivity at the suburban and rural sites,*** findings highlight the importance of identifying and characterizing VOC sources at different sites to help policymakers develop targeted measures for pollution mitigation in specific areas.

Electronic-state modulation strategy offers great potential in designing RuO2-based bifunctionalelectrocatalysts for rechargeable Zn-air batteries（ZAbs）.Various three-dimensional（3D） transition metal oxides are attempted to couple with RuO2for constructing an appropriate Ru—O—M *** work aims to construct Co3O4-RuO2heterostructures on carbon sheets（Co3O4/RuO2/NCNS） for boosting electronic transfer and *** and theoretical calculations identify the electronic transfer from Co3O4to RuO2that modulates the electronic structure of metal surfaces/***,it leads to the increase in Co3+content,electron-rich state at RuO2surface and electronic accumulation at ***,this electronic-state modulation optimizes the d-band center in Co3O4/RuO2that lowers the reaction barriers and endows interfaces as the biggest contributor to oxygen reduction reaction（ORR） and oxygen evolution reaction（OER） performance,The Co3O4/RuO2/NCNS shows a quite low potential difference of 0.62 V and remarkable durability for ORR/***3O4/RuO2/NCNS-assembled ZAbs exh.b.t an excellent specific capacity of 818.3 mA h g-1and a superior lifespan over 750 h.

bACKGROUND Modified Pulsatilla decoction(PD),a PD with licorice and ejiao,is a classic Traditional Chinese Medicine formula with significant efficacy in treating intestinal mucositis(IM)induced by tumor ***,its specific molecular and biological mechanisms remain *** To investigate the therapeutic effect and mechanism of modified PD in *** This study used an IM mouse model established using 5-fluorouracil injections to investigate the effects of the modified PD(3,6,and 12 g/kg)in *** primary chemical components of the modified PD were identified using liquid chromatography-mass *** weight loss,diarrhea scores,intestinal length,histopathological scores,and inflammatory cytokine levels were measured to evaluate the effects of the modified PD in *** on the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κb pathway were evaluated using western blot *** intestinal microbiota was characterized using Illumina NovaSeq *** The results showed that modified PD significantly improved weight loss and diarrhea and shortened the intestines in IM ***,modified PD suppressed the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κb pathway and downregulated the expression of reactive oxygen species,lipopolysaccharides,and pro-inflammatory cytokines(IL-1β,TNF-α,IFN-γ,IL-6,IL-8,and IL-17),while increasing the expression of the anti-inflammatory cytokine ***,modified PD protected the intestinal mucosal barrier by increasing the expression of tight junction proteins(occludin-1,claudin-1,and ZO-1)and ***,16S rDNA sequencing revealed that modified PD improved intestinal *** Our research offers new insights into the potential mechanism of modified PD in alleviating IM and provides experimental evidence supporting its pharmaceutical application in clinical IM treatment.
