Cellular hormone homeostasis is essential for precise spatial and temporal signaling responses and *** acid(ABA)plays pivotal roles in orchestrating various developmental and stress re-sponses and confersfitness benefits over ecological and evolutionary timescales in terrestrial *** ABA level is regulated by complex processes,including biosynthesis,catabolism,and ***25 is thefirst ABA exporter identified through genetic screening and affects diverse ABA *** the structural basis of ABA export by ABCG25 is critical for further manipulations of ABA homeostasis and *** used cryo-electron microscopy to elucidate the structural dynamics of AtABCG25 and successfully characterized different states,including apo AtABCG25,ABA-bound AtABCG25,and ATP-bound AtABCG25(E232q).Notably,AtABCG25 forms a homodimer that fea-tures a deep,slit-like cavity in the transmembrane domain,and we precisely characterized the critical residues in the cavity where ABA *** binding triggers closure of the nucleotide-binding domains and conformational transitions in the transmembrane *** show that AtABCG25 belongs to a conserved ABCG subfamily that originated during the evolution of *** subfamily neofunctionalized to regulate seed germination via the endosperm,in concert with the evolution of this angio-sperm-specific,embryo-nourishing ***,thesefindings provide valuable insights into the intricate substrate recognition and transport mechanisms of the ABA exporter AtABCG25,paving the way for genetic manipulation of ABA homeostasis and plantfitness.

Berberine Inhibits Ferroptosis and Stabilizes Atherosclerotic Plaque through NRF2/SLC7A11/GPX4 Pathway

Gas source of the Middle jurassic Shaximiao Formation in the Zhongjiang large gas field of Western Sichuan Depression:Constraints from geochemical characteristics of light hydrocarbons

The Zhongjiang gas field is a typical large gas field in terrigenous strata of the Western Sichuan *** remains debatable which member of the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation served as the source rocks and how significant the member contributed to the gas accumulations in the Zhongjiang gas *** this study,we analyzed the essential characteristics of the Lower jurassic source rocks and the geochemical features of light hydrocarbons in natural gas from the 2nd(T_(3)χ^(2))and 4th members(T_(3)χ^(4))of the Upper Triassic Xujiahe Formation(T_(3)χ),as well as the Middle jurassic Shaximiao(j_(2)s)and qianfoya(j_(2)q)*** on this,we explored the sources of the natural gas in the Zhongjiang gas field and determined the natural gas migration patterns and their effects on the properties of light hydrocarbons in the natural *** results indicate that the Lower jurassic lacustrine source rocks of the Zhongjiang gas field contain humic organic matter,with vitrinite reflectance(R_(0))values ranging from 0.86%to 0.98%.Samples meeting the criterion for effective source rocks[total organic carbon(TOC)content≥0.75%]exhibited an average TOC content of merely 1.02%,suggesting significantly lower hydrocarbon generation potential than source rocks in the underlying T3x,which show higher thermal maturity and TOC *** natural gas samples from T_(3)χ^(2),T_(3)χ^(4),j_(2)s,and j_(2)q reservoirs,their C_(5-7)iso-alkane content was significantly higher than their n-alkane content,and their methylcyclohexane(MCH)index ranged from 59.0%to 77.3%,indicating the predominance of methylcyclohexane in C_(7)light *** indicated by the origin identification and gas-source correlation based on the geochemical features of light hydrocarbons,the natural gas in the Zhongjiang gas field is typical coal-derived *** gas from the primary pay zone of the Shaximiao Formation,with significantly high K_(1),(P_(2)+N_(2))/C_(7),and P_(3)/C_(7)values,predominantly ori

We report an experimental investigation on laser ablation and associated surface structuring of CdZnTe by femtosecond Ti:Sa laser pulses(laser wavelengthλ≈800 nm,≈35 fs,10 Hz),in *** exploiting different static irradiation conditions,the fluence threshold and the incubation effect in CdZnTe are ***,surface treatment with a low laser fluence(laser pulse energy E≈5-10_μj)and number of shots(5j)results in the formation of welldefined laser-induced periodic surface structures(LIPSS)in the outskirts of the main crater,where the local fluence is well below the material ablation *** low spatial frequency and high spatial frequency LIPSS perpendicular to the laser polarization are found together and separately depending on the irradiation *** are ascribed to a process of progressive aggregation of randomly distributed nanoparticles produced during laser ablation of the deep crater in the region of the target irradiated by a fluence below the ablation threshold with many laser pulses.

Short-time Oxidation of Alloy 690 in High-temperature and High-pressure Steam and Water

The oxidation behavior of alloy 690 exposed to high-temperature and high-pressure steam and water at 280℃ for 1 h was investigated by scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, atomic force microscopy （AFM） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）. In high-temperature and high-pressure steam, the oxide film is composed of an outermost Ni-rich hydroxides layer, an intermediate layer of hydroxides and oxides enriched in Cr, an inner oxide layer. The film formed in high-temperature water is similar to that in steam, except for missing the Ni-rich hydroxides layer. Samples with different surface finishes （electropolished, mechanically polished, ground, and as-received） were prepared for comparison. A general increase of the oxide thickness with the degree of surface roughness is observed. The equivalent oxide thicknesses lie in the range of 100-200 nm for the as-received samples, 150-250 nm for the samples ground to 400# and 10-20 nm for the samples ground to 1500#, mechanically polished, and electropolished.

The compositional design of metallic glasses(MGs)is a long-standing issue in materials science and ***,traditional experimental approaches based on empirical rules are time consuming with a low *** this work,we successfully developed a hybrid machine learning(ML)model to address this fundamental issue based on a database containing~5000 different compositions of metallic glasses(either bulk or ribbon)reported since *** the prior works relying on empirical parameters for featurization of data,we designed modeling guided data descriptors in line with the recent theoretical models on amorphization in chemically complex alloys for the development of the hybrid classification-regression ML *** hybrid ML modeling was validated both numerically and *** importantly,it enabled the discovery of MGs(either bulk or ribbon)through the ML-aided deep search of a multitude of quaternary to scenery alloy *** computational framework herein established is expected to accelerate the design of MG compositions and expand their applications by probing the complex and multi-dimensional compositional space that has never been explored before.

Evolution of microstructure and phase composition of Ti-3Al-5Mo-4.5V alloy with varied β phase stability

The microstructure evolution and phase composition of an α+β titanium alloy, Ti-3Al-5Mo-4.5V(wt.%),have been investigated. Electron probe micro analysis(EPMA) quantitative results manifest that the stability of β phase decreases with increasing quenching temperature, which is influenced by the significant variation of β-stabilizing elements concentration. Detailed microstructure analysis shows that the β→ωphase transformation does occur when quenching at 750℃ and 800 ℃. The ω-reflections change from incommensurate ω-spots(750 ℃) to ideal ω-spots(800 ℃) as the β stability of the alloy decreases. Further the decrease of β phase stability encourages the formation of athermal α " martensite, which has the following orientation relationships: [111]β//[110]α",[100]p//[100]α " and [-110]p//[00-1]α" with respect to the β matrix.

Hepatic HDAC3 Regulates Systemic Iron Homeostasis and Ferroptosis via the Hippo Signaling Pathway

Histone deacetylases(HDACs)are epigenetic regulators that play an important role in determining cell fate and maintaining cellular ***,whether and how HDACs regulate iron metabolism and ferroptosis(an iron-dependent form of cell death)remain ***,the putative role of hepatic HDACs in regulating iron metabolism and ferroptosis was investigated using genetic mouse *** lacking Hdac3 expression in the liver(Hdac3-LKO mice)have significantly reduced hepatic Hamp mRNA(encoding the peptide hormone hepcidin)and altered iron *** profiling of Hdac3-LKO mice suggests that the Hippo signaling pathway may be downstream of ***,using a Hippo pathway inhibitor and overexpressing the transcriptional regulator Yap(Yes-associated protein)significantly reduced Hamp mRNA *** a promoter reporter assay,we then identified 2 Yap-binding repressor sites within the human HAMP promoter *** also found that inhibiting Hdac3 led to increased translocation of Yap to the nucleus,suggesting activation of ***,knock-in mice expressing a constitutively active form of Yap(Yap K342M)phenocopied the altered hepcidin levels observed in Hdac3-LKO ***,we show that iron-overload-induced ferroptosis underlies the liver injury that develops in Hdac3-LKO mice,and knocking down Yap expression in Hdac3-LKO mice reduces both iron-overload-and ferroptosis-induced liver *** results provide compelling evidence supporting the notion that HDAC3 regulates iron homeostasis via the Hippo/Yap pathway and may serve as a target for reducing ferroptosis in iron-overload-related diseases.

Mechanical properties and deformation mechanisms of Ti-3Al-5Mo-4.5V alloy with varied β phase stability

Evolution of deformation mechanisms and mechanical properties of Ti-3Al-5Mo-4.5V alloy with different β phase stability have been systematically investigated. β phase stability alteration is achieved through quenching temperature variation from dual α+β field(700℃) to single β field(880℃). Tensile tests at ambient temperature show that apparent yield strength of the alloy experiences an abrupt decrease followed by a significant increase from 700℃ to 880℃. Work hardening behavior is characterized by transition from the initial two-regime feature to the three-stage outlook. Concurrently, the maximum working hardening rate drops from 14000 MPa to 3000 MPa, which is concurrent with the shrinking volume fraction of primary a phase. Detailed discussion about the relationship between deformation mechanisms and β phase stability has been outlined.

We propose and develop another approach to constructing multi-soliton solutions of an integrable two-component Camassa–Holm(CH2)*** the help of a reciprocal transformation and a gauge transformation,we relate the CH2 system to a negative flow of the Broer–Kaup or twoboson *** solutions of this negative flow are given in terms of Wronskians via Darboux *** the multi-soliton solutions of the CH2 system are recovered in parametric form by inverting the reciprocal transformation and the gauge transformation.
