Cucurbit[8]uril-regulated face-to-face dimerization assembly enhanced photosensitization and photocatalysis

In water, N,N′-diarylpyridinium thiazolo[5,4-d]thiazole guests(G1–G3) were encapsulated by cucurbit[8]uril(q[8]) to construct q[8]_(3)/G_(2) complexes, in which the encapsulated G molecules exist as an exact face-to-face dimer. These complexation behaviors have been indicated by proton nuclear magnetic resonance(~1H NMR) spectroscopy and isothermal titration calorimetry(ITC),and have been confirmed by X-ray single crystal structural analysis of q[8]_(3)/G2_(2). While free guests G1–G3 have no ability to sensitize singlet oxygen, they all become effective singlet oxygen sensitizers when complexed with q[8]. By irradiation of white light, q[8]_(3)/G_(2) complexes induced selective oxidation of aryl sulfide to aryl sulfoxide in good yields and selective oxidation of dimethyl sulfide(DMS) to dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) in excellent yields without over-oxidation to dimethyl sulfone(DMSO_(2))even for elongated irradiation. High-yield photo-oxidation of DMS to DMSO_(2) was only achieved by irradiation of blue light in the presence of q[8]_(3)/G1_(2), which was also effective in photobleaching of Rhodamine B in water. The higher photo-oxidation power of q[8]_(3)/G1_(2) has been ascribed to an additional generation of reactive oxygen species besides singlet oxygen.

Various land use and land cover(LULC)products have been produced over the past decade with the development of remote sensing *** the differences in LULC classification schemes,there is a lack of research on assessing the accuracy of their application to croplands in a unified ***,this study evaluated the spatial and area accuracies of cropland classification for four commonly used global LULC products(i.e.,MCD12q1V6,GlobCover2009,FROM-GLC and GlobeLand30)based on the harmonised FAO criterion,and quantified the relationships between four factors(i.e.,slope,elevation,field size and crop system)and cropland classification *** validation results indicated that MCD12q1 and GlobeLand30 performed well in cropland classification regarding spatial consistency,with overall accuracies of 94.90 and 93.52%,*** FROMGLC showed the worst performance,with an overall accuracy of 83.17%.Overlaying the cropland generated by the four global LULC products,we found the proportions of complete agreement and disagreement were 15.51 and 44.72% for the cropland classification,*** consistency was mainly observed in the Northeast China Plain,the huang-huai-Hai Plain and the northern part of the Middle-lower Yangtze Plain,*** contrast,low consistency was detected primarily on the eastern edge of the northern and semiarid region,the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and southern *** size was the most important factor for mapping *** area accuracy,compared with China Statistical Yearbook data at the provincial scale,the accuracies of different products in descending order were:GlobeLand30,FROM-GLC,MCD12q1,and *** cropland classification schemes mainly caused large area deviations among the four products,and they also resulted in the different ranks of spatial accuracy and area accuracy among the four *** results can provide valuable suggestions for selecting cropland products at the national or provinc

For large-scale in-service electric vehicles(EVs)that undergo potential maintenance,second-hand transactions,and retirement,it is crucial to rapidly evaluate the health status of their battery ***,existing methods often rely on lengthy battery charging/discharging data or extensive training samples,which hinders their implementation in practical *** address this issue,a rapid health estimation method based on short-time charging data and limited labels for in-service battery packs is proposed in this ***,a digital twin of battery pack is established to emulate its dynamic behavior across various aging levels and inconsistency ***,increment capacity sequences(△q)within a short voltage span are extracted from charging process to indicate battery ***,data-driven models based on deep convolutional neural network(DCNN)are constructed to estimate battery state of health(SOH),where the synthetic data is employed to pre-train the models,and transfer learning strategies by using fine-tuning and domain adaptation are utilized to enhance the model ***,field data of 10 EVs exhibiting different SOHs are used to verify the proposed *** using the△q with 100 m V voltage change,the SOH of battery packs can be accurately estimated with an error around 3.2%.

Evaluation of teplizumab's efficacy and safety in treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus:A systematic review and meta-analysis

BACKGROUND Islets of Langerhans beta cells diminish in autoimmune type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1DM).Teplizumab,a humanized anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody,may help *** long-term implications on clinical T1DM development,safety,and efficacy are *** To assess the effectiveness and safety of teplizumab as a therapeutic intervention for individuals with *** A systematic search was conducted using four electronic databases(PubMed,Embase,Scopus,and Cochrane Library)to select publications published in peerreviewed journals written in *** odds ratio(OR)and risk ratio(RR)were calculated,along with their 95%*** assessed heterogeneity using Cochrane q and I2 statistics and the appropriate P *** There were 8 randomized controlled trials(RCTs)in the current meta-analysis with a total of 1908 T1DM patients from diverse age cohorts,with 1361 patients receiving Teplizumab and 547 patients receiving a *** was found to have a substantial link with a decrease in insulin consumption,with an OR of 4.13(95%CI:1.72 to 9.90).Teplizumab is associated with an improved Cpeptide response(OR 2.49;95%CI:1.62 to 3.81)and a significant change in Glycated haemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)levels in people with type 1 diabetes[OR 1.75(95%CI:1.03 to 2.98)],and it has a RR of 0.71(95%CI:0.53 to 0.95).CONCLUSION In type 1 diabetics,teplizumab decreased insulin consumption,improved C-peptide response,and significantly changed HbA1c levels with negligible side *** appears to improve glycaemic control and diabetes management with good safety and efficacy.

Causal associations between gastroesophageal reflux disease and essential hypertension: A bidirectional Mendelian randomization study

BACKGROUND Clinical studies have reported that patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)have a higher prevalence of *** To performed a bidirectional Mendelian randomization(MR)analysis to investi-gate the causal link between GERD and essential *** Eligible single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)were selected,and weighted median,inverse variance weighted(IVW)as well as MR egger(MR-Egger)re-gression were used to examine the potential causal association between GERD and *** MR-Pleiotropy RESidual Sum and Outlier analysis was used to detect and attempt to reduce horizontal pleiotropy by removing outliers *** MR-Egger intercept test,Cochran’s q test and“leave-one-out”sen-sitivity analysis were performed to evaluate the horizontal pleiotropy,heterogen-eities,and stability of single instrumental *** IVW analysis exhibited an increased risk of hypertension(OR=1.46,95%CI:1.33-1.59,P=2.14E-16)in GERD *** the same result was obtained in replication practice(OR=1.002,95%CI:1.0008-1.003,P=0.000498).Meanwhile,the IVW analysis showed an increased risk of systolic blood pressure(β=0.78,95%CI:0.11-1.44,P=0.021)and hypertensive heart disease(OR=1.68,95%CI:1.36-2.08,P=0.0000016)in GERD ***,we found an decreased risk of Barrett's esophagus(OR=0.91,95%CI:0.83-0.99,P=0.043)in essential hypertension *** We found that GERD would increase the risk of essential hypertension,which provided a novel prevent and therapeutic perspectives of essential hypertension.

Two low-lying unbound states in ^(16)C are investigated by deuteron inelastic scattering in inverse *** the 2^(-) state at 5.45 MeV previously measured in a 1n knockout reaction,a new resonant state at 6.89 MeV is observed for the first *** inelastic scattering angular distributions of these two states are well reproduced by the distorted-wave Born approximation(DWBA)calculation with an l=1 *** addition,the spinparities of the unbound states are discussed and tentatively assigned based on shell model calculations using the modified YSOX interaction.

Two Ramsey-Turán Numbers of Small Independence Numbers

Given a forbidden graph H and a function f(n), the Ramsey-Turán number RT (n, H, f (n)) is the maximum number of edges of an H-free graph on n vertices with independence number less than f (n).For graphs G and H, the Ramsey number R(G, H) is the minimum integer N such that any red/blue edge coloring of the complete graph KNcontains either a red G or a blue H. Denote G+H by the join graph obtained from disjoint G and H by adding all edges between them completely. We first show that for any fixed graph H, if there are two constants p:=p(H)> 0 and q:=q(H)> 1 such that R(H, Kn)≤(pnq)/(log n)q-1, then RT(n, K2+H, o(n1/q(log n)1-1/q))=o(n2), which extends several previous results. Moreover, we show that for any fixed forest F of order k≥3, and for any 0 <δ <1 and sufficiently large n, RT(n, F+F, nδ)≤n(2-(1-δ)/「(k-1)(2-δ)/(1-δ)」).As a corollary, we have an upper bound for RT(n, K2,2,2, nδ) for any 0 <δ <1.

Shear resistance characteristics and influencing factors of root-soil composite on an alpine metal mine dump slope with different recovery periods

Artificial vegetation restoration is the main measure for vegetation restoration and soil and water conservation in alpine mine dumps on the qinghai-Tibet Plateau,***,there are few reports on the dynamic changes and the influencing factors of the soil reinforcement effect of plant species after artificial vegetation restoration under different recovery *** selected dump areas of the Delni Copper Mine in qinghai Province,China to study the relationship between the shear strength and the peak displacement of the root-soil composite on the slope during the recovery period,and the influence of the root traits and soil physical properties on the shear resistance characteristics of the root-soil composite via in situ direct shear *** results indicate that the shear strength and peak displacement of the rooted soil initially decreased and then increased with the increase of the recovery *** shear strength of the rooted soil and the recovery period exhibited a quadratic function *** is no significant function relationship between the peak displacement and the recovery *** positive correlations(P0.05)between the shear strength of the root-soil composite and the root length density,and the root volume ratio of the coarse roots to the fine roots.A significant negative linear correlation(P0.05)with the root traits,other soil physical property indices(the moisture content and dry density of the soil),and slope *** coarse-grain content is the main factor controlling the peak displacement of the rooted soil.
