Tra.itiona. resea.ch on skin disea.es ha. ma.nly focused on biologica. cha.a.teristics for a.long time. Recently, the integra.ion of biomecha.ics a.d mecha.obiology ha. introduced mecha.ica. fa.tors into skin disea.e resea.ch. The intera.tion between mecha.ica. fa.tors a.d skin's physiologica. a.d pa.hologica. cha.ges ha. gra.ua.ly been tra.sformed in clinica. dia.nosis a.d trea.ment. The two emerging fields, mecha.odia.nostics a.d mecha.othera.y, ha.e been developed to a.dress clinica. needs. However, clinicia.s often la.k a.comprehensive understa.ding of skin mecha.ica. cha.a.teristics a.d the mecha.obiologica. mecha.isms in derma.ology. Thus, we propose the concept of "skin mecha.omedicine". By summa.izing releva.t resea.ch a. home a.d a.roa., this pa.er systema.ica.ly elucida.es the multisca.e mecha.ica. cha.a.teristics of skin disea.es a.d their impa.t on biologica. beha.ior from four perspectives: skin biomecha.ics, skin mecha.obiology, skin mecha.odia.nostics, a.d skin mecha.othera.y. Mea.while, in-depth explora.ion wa. conducted on the potentia. a.plica.ion of mecha.ica. fa.tors in the dia.nosis a.d trea.ment of skin disea.es, a.ming to provide new resea.ch perspectives a.d solutions for the dia.nosis a.d trea.ment of skin disea.es.

To a.a.yze the correla.ion between the systemic infla.ma.ion score (SIG) a.d pla.0}e sta.ility in pa.ients with ca.otid a.tery stenosis, a.d to eva.ua.e the predictive va.ue. The clinica. da.a.of 149 pa.ients with ca.otid a.tery stenosis who were hospita.ized in Drum Tower Hospita., the a.filia.ed Hospita. of Na.jing University Medica. School from Ja.ua.y 2019 to October 2023 were retrospectively a.a.yzed, including 124 ma.es a.d 25 fema.es, a.ed (68.2±8.9) yea.s. a.cording to the results of pa.hologica. a.a.ysis of specimens a.ter ca.otid enda.terectomy, the pa.ients were divided into pla.0}e sta.le group (=70) a.d pla.0}e vulnera.le group (=79). a.ter preopera.ive blood biochemica. indexes were collected a.d neutrophil-lymphocyte ra.io a.d modified gla.gow prognostic score(mGPS) were ca.cula.ed, the SIG wa. ca.cula.ed together. The multiva.ia.e logistic regression model wa. used to a.a.yze the correla.ive fa.tors of pla.0}e sta.ility in pa.ients with ca.otid a.tery stenosis, a.d the receiver opera.ing cha.a.teristic (ROC) curve wa. used to a.a.yze the predictive va.ue of SIG for pla.0}e sta.ility in pa.ients with ca.otid a.tery stenosis. The proportion of pa.ients with a.history of dia.etes in the pla.0}e vulnera.le group [36.7% (29/79) vs 20.0% (14/70)] a.d IL-6 [0.43 (0.31, 0.64) vs 0.34 (0.17, 0.44) ng/L] were higher tha. those in the pla.0}e sta.iliza.ion group(both a.d SIG score of the pla.0}e vulnera.le group were higher tha. those of the pla.0}e sta.iliza.ion group (both a.ia.e logistic regression model showed tha. dia.etes history (=2.82, 95%: 1.23-6.48), high interleukin-6 (IL-6) level (=1.16, 95%: 1.01-1.33), a.d high SIG scores [with SIG=0 a. the reference, (SIG=1)=1.76,95%:1.21-2.41; (SIG=2)=2.21,95%:1.51-3.01; (SIG=3)=4.47,95%:2.42-6.52; (SIG=4)=3.19,95%:2.01-4.36] were risk fa.tors for pla.0}e insta.ility in pa.ients with ca.otid a.tery stenosis. Dia.oms possess intrica.ely complica.ed na.opa.terned silica.outer shells, the so ca.led frustules. Due to their excellent three-dimensiona. （3D） na.ostructures, dia.om frustules ha.e a.tra.ted a.tentions from ma.y fields to look for potentia. a.pli- ca.ions, such a. structura. ma.eria. design, light ha.vesting, photonics, molecula. sepa.a.ion a.d bio-sensing. However, the mecha.ica. property of frustule, especia.ly the role of ea.h single portion tha. structures a.frustule, need to be clea.ly exa.ined in order to provide a.scientific support to frustule utiliza.ion. The reported work uses the Finite-Element （FE）-ba.ed simula.ion to investiga.e the rela.ive mecha.ica. properties of the frustule of the dia.om Coscinodiscus sp. a. compa.ed with reference non-frustule structures. a.three-dimensiona. model for the three fea.ured la.ers of this frustule a.d a.simplified model for its girdle ba.d a.e built with the a.sista.ce of a.a.0}S. a.ba.ic-cell concept is suggested; a.d the compa.a.ive results of severa. simula.ion groups a.e reported. LSF of meta. sheet wa. investiga.ed with experiments a.d numerica. simula.ion. The ba.ic theories were introduced; the surfa.e q.a.ity a.d deforma.ion of the processed tita.ium sa.ple （Ta.） were exa.ined; a.a.0}S wa. used to simula.e ISF a.d the centra. displa.ement of the shocked region wa. mea.ured a.d compa.ed with the simula.ion. Overla.ped ISF trea.ment wa. experimenta.ly ca.ried out to produce groove a.d simula.ion. The results showed tha. the surfa.e q.a.ity a.d the microstructure with single la.er pulse ha. no rema.ka.le cha.ge, a.d a.la.ion wa. observed on the surfa.e of the sa.ple with overla.ped pulses. Besides competing with a.ga. for light a.d minera. nutrients (i. e. N, P, etc.), the root system of a.orus ta.a.inowii excretes some chemica. substa.ces, which injure a.d elimina.e a.ga.cells, to inhibit the growth of the a.ga.. When the a.ga. cells were trea.ed in 'a. ta.a.inowii wa.er', some of the chlorophyll a.were destroyed a.d the photosynthetic ra.e of a.ga. decrea.ed ma.kedly a.d the a.ility of a.ga.cells to deoxidize triphenyltetra.olium chloride (TTC) reduced grea.ly. Then a.ga.cells turned from bright red to bluish green under fluorescence microscope. These showed tha. the a.lelopa.hic effects of a. ta.a.inowii on a.ga. were obvious a.d pla.ting a. ta.a.inowii ca. control some green a.ga.. The experiment on the extra.tions of the secretions of the root system showed tha. the inhibitory effect ha. a.concentra.ion effect. If the concentra.ion of the root secretion wa. below 30 μl/disc, the inhibitory ra.e wa. nega.ive; if it wa. over 45 μl/disc, the inhibitory ra.e wa. positive. This proved tha. the influence of the root secretion on the sa.e a.ceptor wa. a.kind of concentra.ion effect. When the concentra.ion of the root secretion wa. low, it promoted the growth of a.ga.; when the concentra.ion rea.hed a.definite threshold va.ue, it restra.ned the growth of a.ga.. In present ca.e, the threshold va.ue wa. between 30 μl/disc a.d 45 μl/disc.
