关于热带雨林(对火敏感)和开放地层(耐火)之间边界所涉及过程的认识对于保护生物多样性和生态系统服务至关重要,尤其是在气候变化和人为压力增加的情况下。本文调查了位于巴西东南部的Espinhaco生物圈保护区内的森林岛屿和湿润草原同时出现的主要环境因素。我们使用Costa(2018)布置的永久样地来收集森林岛屿的土壤变量(水分和化学性质)。对于湿润草原的采样,我们从岛屿边缘沿不同方向设置了4条30m的线。随后,我们在每条线上划了3个点,每个点相距10m,每个区域共12个点。我们还调查了处理火烧前后的植被覆盖情况,并对环境变量进行均值检验和主成分分析。研究结果显示,森林岛屿土壤中钾、盐基总量、阳离子交换容量和有机质的值均高于湿润草地。因此,两种植被类型之间的边界定义似乎主要与土壤肥力和水分梯度有关。在对这些地区进行火烧处理后,在岛屿边缘附近没有发现树木个体的再生。因此,这些研究结果表明,由于明确的土壤气候条件,森林岛屿无法扩张。因此,这些环境应该成为设计公共保护政策的目标焦点,因为它们增加了山地岩石草原植被景观的复杂性。

Cardiovascular diseases represent the world’s leading cause of death. In thisheterogeneous group of diseases, ischemic cardiomyopathies are the mostdevastating and prevalent, estimated to cause 17.9 million deaths per *** all biomedical efforts, there are no effective treatments that can replacethe myocytes lost during an ischemic event or progression of the disease to heartfailure. In this context, cell therapy is an emerging therapeutic alternative to treatcardiovascular diseases by cell administration, aimed at cardiac regeneration andrepair. In this review, we will cover more than 30 years of cell therapy in cardiology,presenting the main milestones and drawbacks in the field and signalingfuture challenges and perspectives. The outcomes of cardiac cell therapies arediscussed in three distinct aspects: The search for remuscularization byreplacement of lost cells by exogenous adult cells, the endogenous stem cell era,which pursued the isolation of a progenitor with the ability to induce heart repair,and the utilization of pluripotent stem cells as a rich and reliable source ofcardiomyocytes. Acellular therapies using cell derivatives, such as microvesiclesand exosomes, are presented as a promising cell-free therapeutic alternative.

CLIGEN is a stochastic weather generator that creates statistically representative timeseries of daily and sub-daily point-scale weather variables from observed monthly statistics and other parameters. CLIGEN precipitation timeseries are used as climate input for various risk-assessment modelling applications as an alternative to observe long-term, high temporal resolution records. Here, we queried gridded global climate datasets (TerraClimate, ERA5, GPM-IMERG, and GLDAS) to estimate various 20-year climate statistics and obtain complete CLIGEN input parameter sets with coverage of the African and South American continents at 0.25 arc degree resolution. The estimation of CLIGEN precipitation parameters was informed by a ground-based dataset of >10,000 locations worldwide. The ground observations provided target values to fit regression models that downscale CLIGEN precipitation input parameters. Aside from precipitation parameters, CLIGEN’s parameters for temperature, solar radiation, etc. were in most cases directly calculated according to the original global datasets. Cross-validation for estimated precipitation parameters quantified errors that resulted from applying the estimation approach in a predictive fashion. Based on all training data, the RMSE was 2.23 mm for the estimated monthly average single-event accumulation and 4.70 mm/hr for monthly maximum 30-min intensity. This dataset facilitates exploration of hydrological and soil erosional hypotheses across Africa and South America.

In order to avoid mistakes and to save a great deal of time in analysis, an innovative methodology was developed that can analyze the well operations and rig characteristics involved to define the best emergency disconnect sequence （EDS） available. A solution was developed based on the characteristics of the rigs and blowout preventers （BOPs）, and six variables were considered that directly affect the choice of EDS. All possible combinations of 64 scenarios were analyzed, and the priority of choice of the EDS was defined empirically. This paper presents an approach to EDS risk management and examples of exposure time （time without riser safety margin and shear capability） for the same well, which can be lowered from 13% to 0.1%. The impact of this reduction is related to the ability of the BOP to cut some of the heavy casings, in addition to improved availability of EDS modes. This implementation opened up many possibilities for the performance of risk exposure analysis, enabling comparison of several BOP configurations of contracted rigs and selection of the best options. This innovative approach allowed a better management of the rig schedules, prioritizing safety aspects and making it possible to allocate the fleet in a systematic way.

Enzymatic whey proteins concentrates (WPC) hydrolysis under optimal conditions of ficin crude extract (FCE) in two ratios E/S (0.5 and 1%) was studied,assessing the impact of hydrolysis on WPC by determination degree of hydrolysis (DH),Fast proteins liquid chromatography (FPLC),Tricine SDS-PAGE,antioxidant activity at sampling time beside,and technological properties (solubility,emulsifying activity index (EAI) and foaming activity (FA)) at the best condition (maximum DH and antioxidant activity) other *** showed,in the first 30 min,DH reached 22.76% at E/S (1%) with a total degradation of α-lactalbumin (α-La) and almost of β-lactoglobulin (β-Lg).A significant increase in antioxidant activity and solubility was observed,while not for EAI,and *** results indicate for the first time that β-Lg is susceptible to hydrolyse by FCE that rarely found for other *** hydrolysates showed very relevant performance,and suggest that could be appropriate production of functional ingredients.

The Venda Nova Pluton （VNP） is a zoned ring structure emplaced in the southern portion of the Neoproterozoic Araquai Belt, in Espirito Santo, Brazil. It is a slightly westward tilted cylinder-like intrusion, with an almost circular horizontal section. In the center of this structure, an off-centered gabbro-noritic core, surrounded by syeno-monzonitic rocks, intrudes an outer ring of charnockites and norite. These envelop the syeno-monzonitic and gabbro-noritic center, as a narrow discontinuous belt. While, in the core intrusion, mingling and mixing processes are widespread and well documented in the literature, in the outer ring, the norite and charnockite layers show predominantly homogeneous and isotropic internal structures. Nevertheless, smaller interaction zones between charnockites and norite denote a comparatively more restricted mingling process. The norite is a fine-grained rock with hypidio- morphic granular to intergranular texture. The charnockites are medium-grained and made up of：（a） orthopyroxene-tonalite, （h） orthopyroxene-quartz-diorite, and （c） orthopyroxene-granodiorite with hy- pidiomorphic granular to porphyritic textures. In all lithotypes both ortho- and clinopyroxene are replaced by hornblende and biotite. Two contrasting compositional sequences have been recognized, based on whole rock geochemistry：（1） a basic, with tholeiitic affinities （norite） and, （2） an intermediate, medium-K calc-alkalinc, comprising the charnockites. Estimated crystallization temperatures, which have been calculated from micro-probe analysis of pyroxenes, range from 915± 25 ℃ to 960 ± 50 ℃. Re-equilibration temperature （ihnenite-magnetite calibration） is around 600 ~ 50 ℃. This indicates oxygen fugacities four order of magnitude below the FMQ-buffer and a reduced environment. Coeval pressure conditions estimated from the Al-content in hornblende range from 5.5 ± 0.6 kbar. Data obtained for the norite point toward an evolution from the partial melting of an anhydrous

The effect of addition of Ru and Pd to Mo/HZSM-5 catalysts used in the dehydroaromatization of methane was investigated. Catalytic tests and temperature-programmed oxidation results showed that Pd-based catalysts were more selective to naphthalene and suffered strong deactivation. The presence of Ru improved the activity and stability, with a decrease in the carbonaceous deposit probably because of a mechanism of protection of the Mo2C surface.
