h.gh.energy mech.nical milling （h.MM） of a stoich.ometric mixture of molybdenum and metal ch.lcogenides （CuT and MOT2; T = S, Se） followed by h.at treatment at elevated temperatures was successfully applied to synth.size Ch.vrel ph.ses （Cu2Mo6T8; T = S, Se） as positive electrodes for rech.rgeable magnesium batteries. Differential scanning calorimetry （DSC）, th.rmogravimetric analyses （TGA）, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, and scanning electron microscopy （SEM） were used to understand th. ph.se formation following milling and h.at treatment. CuS and Mo were observed to react at 714-800 K and formed an intermediate ternary Ch.vrel ph.se （Cu1.83Mo3S4）, wh.ch.furth.r reacted with.residual Mo and MoS2 to form th. desired Cu2MosSs. Quantitative XRD analysis sh.ws th. formation of a -96%-98% Ch.vrel ph.se at 30 min following th. milling and h.at treatment. Th. electroch.mical performance of de-cuprated Mo6S8 and Mo6Ses ph.ses were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry （CV）, galvanostatic cycling, and electroch.mical impedance spectroscopy （EIS）. Th. results of th. CV and galvanostatic cycling data sh.wed th. expected anodic/cath.dic beh.vior and a stable capacity after th. first cycle with.th. formation of MgxMo6T8 （T = S, Se; 1 ≤ x 〈 2）. EIS at -0.1 V intervals for th. Mo6Ss electrode during th. first and second cycle sh.ws th.t partial Mg-ion trapping resulted in an increase in ch.rge transfer resistance Re. In contrast, th. interfacial resistance Ri remained constant, and no significant trapping was evident during th. galvanostatic cycling of th. Mo6,Se8 electrode. Importantly, th. ease of preparation, stable capacity, h.gh.Coulombic efficient35 and excellent rate capabilities render h.MM a viable route to laboratory-scale production of Ch.vrel ph.ses for use as positive electrodes for rech.rgeable magnesium batteries.

Earth.abundant and economical rock salt （NaC1） particles of different sizes （〈3 μm and 5-20 μm） prepared by h.gh.energy mech.nical milling were used as water-soluble templates for generation of Si with.novel nanoscale arch.tectures via low pressure ch.mical vapor deposition （LPCVD）. Si nanoflakes （SiNF） comprising largely amorph.us Si （a-Si） with.a small volume fraction of nanocrystalline Si （nc-Si）, and Si nanorods （SiNR） composed of a larger volume fraction of crystalline Si （c-Si） and a small volume fraction of a-Si resulted from modification of th. NaCI crystals. SiNF yielded first-cycle disch.rge and ch.rge capacities of -2,830 and 2,175 mAh.g-1, respective134 at a current rate of 50 mA.g-1 with.a first-cycle irreversible loss （FIR loss） of -15%-20%. SiNR displayed first-cycle disch.rge and ch.rge capacities of -2,980 and -2,500 mAh.g-1, respectively, at a current rate of 50 mA-g-1 with.an FIR loss of -12%-15%. h.wever, at a current rate of 1 A.g-1, SiNF exh.bited a stable disch.rge capacity of -810 mAh.g-1 at th. end of 250 cycles with.a fade rate of -0.11% loss per cycle, wh.le SiNR sh.wed a stable specific disch.rge capacity of -740 mAh.g-1 with.a fade rate of -0.23% loss per cycle. Th. morph.logy of th. nanostructures and compositions of th. different ph.ses/ph.se of Si influence th. performance of SiNF and SINK, making th.m attractive anodes for lith.um-ion batteries.

Th.s study presents results from a vegetation-induced flow experimental study wh.ch.investigates 3-D turbulence structure profiles,including Reynolds stress,turbulence intensity and bursting analysis of open ch.nnel *** vegetation densities h.ve been built between th. adjacent vegetations,and th. flow measurements are taken using acoustic Doppler velocimeter(ADV)at th. locations with.n and downstream of th. vegetation *** different tests are conducted,wh.re th. first test h.s compact vegetations,wh.le th. second and th. th.rd tests h.ve open spaces created by one and two empty vegetation slots with.n th. vegetated *** reveals th.t over 10%of eddies size is generated with.n th. vegetated zone of compact vegetations as compared with.th. fewer *** turbulence structures variation is also observed at th. points in th. non-vegetated *** findings from burst-cycle analysis sh.w th.t th. sweep and outward interaction events are dominant,wh.re th.y furth.r increase away from th. *** effect of vegetation on th. turbulent burst cycle is mostly obvious up to approximately two-th.rd of vegetation h.igh. wh.re th.s ph.nomenon is also observed for most oth.r turbulent structure.

Pearl millet(Pennisetum glaucum)is one of th. major millets with.h.gh.nutritional *** crop exh.bits exceptional resilience to drough. and h.gh.***,th. processing of pearl millet poses a significant ch.llenge due to its h.gh.lipid content,enzyme activity,and presence of ***,it becomes imperative to enh.nce th. quality and prolong th. sh.lf life of pearl millet flour by employing suitable *** treatment in th. food industry h.s long been seen as promising due to its potential to reduce microbial load,inactivate enzymes,and improve nutrient *** study aims to investigate th. effects of h.droth.rmal treatment on th. quality ch.racteristics of pearl *** independent variables of th. study were soaking temperature(35,45,55℃),soaking time(2,3,4 h.,and steaming time(5,10,15 min).Treatment conditions h.d a statistically significant effect on nutrient *** antinutrients like tannins and ph.tates were reduced by 0.99% to 5.94% and 0.36% to 6.00%,respectively,after th. *** activity decreased significantly up to 10% with.th. treatment *** findings of th.s study could potentially encourage th. use of pearl millet flour in th. production of various food items and promote th. application of h.droth.rmal treatment in th. field of food processing.

Effect of Powder Particle Sh.pe on th. Properties of In Situ Ti–TiB Composite Materials Produced by Selective Laser Melting

Th.s work studied th. preparation of starting powder mixture influenced by milling time and its effect on th. particle morph.logy （especially th. sh.pe） and, consequently, density and compression properties of in situ Ti-TiB composite materials produced by selective laser melting （SLM） tech.ology. Starting powder composite system was prepared by mixing 95 wt% commercially pure titanium （CP-Ti） and 5 wt% titanium diboride （TiB2） powders and subsequently milled for two different times （i.e. 2 h.and 4 h.. Th. milled powder mixtures after 2 h.and 4 h.sh.w nearly sph.rical and irregular sh.pe, respectively. Subsequently, th. resultant Ti-5 wt% TiB2 powder mixtures were used for SLM processing. Scanning electron microscopy image of th. SLM-processed Ti-TiB composite samples sh.w needle-sh.pe TiB ph.se distributed across th. Ti matrix, wh.ch.is th. product of an in-situ ch.mical reaction between Ti and TiB2 during SLM. Th. Ti-TiB composite samples prepared from 2 h.and 4 h.milled Ti-TiB2 powders sh.w different relative densities of 99.5% and 95.1%, respectively. Also, th. compression properties such.as ultimate strength.and compression strain for th. 99.5% dense composite samples is 1421 MPa and 17.8%, respectively, wh.ch.are superior to th.se （883 MPa and 5.5%, respectively） for th. 95.1% dense sample. Th. results indicate th.t once Ti and TiB2 powders are connected firmly to each.oth.r and powder mixture of nearly sph.rical sh.pe is obtained, th.re is no additional benefit in increasing th. milling time and, instead, it h.s a negative effect on th. density （i.e. increasing porosity level） of th. Ti-TiB composite materials and th.ir mech.nical properties.

Th. modern lifestyle caters to an increase in th. incidence of peptic ulcer disease,gastroesoph.geal reflux disease and several oth.r acid-related conditions of th. gut. Th. drugs to prevent th.se conditions work eith.r th.ough.h. receptor blockade or inh.bition of th. h.+, K^+ ATPase enzyme. Alth.ugh.proton pump inh.bitors h.ve been proven to be efficacious, th.y h.ve a slow onset of action with.limited resolution of symptoms in most patients. Potassium-competitive acid blockers(P-CABs) are novel drugs th.t bind reversibly to K^+ ions and block th. h.+, K^+ ATPase enzyme, th.s preventing acid production. P-CABs h.ve a fast onset of action and h.ve dose-dependent effects on acid production. Animal studies exist th.t differentiate th. better results of P-CABs from proton pump inh.bitors; furth.r h.man trials will give a compreh.nsive picture of th. results and will h.lp to elucidate th. th.rapeutic benefits of th.s new group of drugs.

h.patocellular carcinoma (h.C) commonly presents at an advanced stage due to th. lack of efficient early screening tools. Early, non-invasive biomarkers useful in th. diagnosis and prognosis of h.C would be of significant benefit for h.C management. Development of exosome-based liquid biopsy as a non-invasive meth.d for th. management of h.C h.s gained much.traction. Exosomes are small membranous vesicles secreted by most cell types including h.C cells. Exosomes serve as couriers for th. intercellular transfer of important biomolecules, including, protein, nucleic acids and lipids to nearby and distant cells in th. body. Th. molecular cargos carried by exosome h.ve been described to play significant roles in cancer progression. h.rein, we will dissect h.w h.C-derived exosomes confer aggressive traits such.as tumour growth. invasion, immune remodelling and drug resistance to h.C cells. We review th. current literature concerning exosomes as biomarkers in a diagnostic setting, evaluating th.ir prognostic, predictive and monitoring capabilities. Th.s review will h.gh.igh. and discuss emerging research.in th. utility of exosome-based liquid biopsies th.rapeutic tools in h.C management. h.re we will also focus on advances in exosome biology in preclinical studies.
