A device,that is used for biomedical operation or safety-critical applications like point-of-care health asssment,massive parallel DNA analysis,automated drug discovery,air-quality monitoring and food-safety testing,must have the attributes like relia bility,dependability and *** the biochips are used for these purposes;therefore,these devices must be fault free all the *** before usi ng these chips,they must be well *** are proposing a novel technique that can detect mutiple fults,locate the fault positions within the biochip,as well as calculate the traversal time if the biochip is fault *** proposed technique also highlights a new idea how to select the appropriate base node or pseudo source(start electrode).The main idea of the proposed technique is to form multiple loops with the neighboring electrode arrays and then test each loop by traversing test droplet to check whether there is any *** a fault is detected then the propoed technique also locates it by backtracking the test *** case,no fault is detected,the biochip is fault free then the proposed technique also calculates the time to traverse the *** result suggests that the proposed technique is eficient and shows significant improvement to ca lculate fault-free biochip traversal time over existing method.

Process optimization of benzo[ghi]perylene biodegradation by yeast consortium in presence of ZnO nanoparticles and produced biosurfactant using Box-Behnken design

Background Benzo[ghi]perylene (BghiP), a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) containing six fused benzene rings is considered as priority pollutant because of its carcinogenicity, mutagenicity and acute *** The synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles was done following the standard method. Biosurfactant production by yeast consortium YC04 in MSM was confirmed by various tests viz. drop collapse test, methylene blue agar plate method and emulsification test (E24) using the standard procedures. Efficiency of YC04 was tested to remediate BghiP in presence of ZnO nanoparticles and produced biosurfactant in the growth *** Response surface methodology (RSM), 3-level five variables Box-Behnken design (BBD) was employed to optimize the factors viz. pH 7.0, temperature 30°C, shaking speed 130 rpm, inoculum dosage 3% and ZnO nanoparticles concentration 2 g/L after a period of 6 days of incubation for the enhanced degradation of BghiP (63.83±0.01%). It was well in close agreement with the predicated value obtained by RSM model yield (63.83±0.08%). Analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed F-value of 51.70, R2 of 0.9764, probability of<0.0001 and coefficient of variation of 1.25% confirmed the validity of the model. Degradation of BghiP was assessed using GC-MS and FTIR analysis. The novel recyclable free –ONNO– tetradentate Schiff base ligand N,N′‐bis(2‐hydroxy‐3‐ methox‐ybenzaldehyde)4‐methylbenzene‐1,2‐diamine (3‐MOBdMBn) was synthesized. Complexation of this ligand with zinc(3‐MOBdMBn‐Zn) was performed, and the catalytic activity of the complex was evaluated. The polymer‐supported analog of this complex(P‐3‐MOBdMBn‐Zn) was synthesized, and its catalytic activity was studied. These free and polymer‐anchored zinc complexes were prepared by the reactions of metal solutions with one molar equivalent of unsupported 3‐MOBdMBn or P‐3‐MOBdMBn in methanol under nitrogen. The catalytic activity of 3‐MOBdMBn‐Zn and P‐3‐MOBdMBn‐Zn was evaluated in phenol oxidation. The activity of P‐3‐MOBdMBn‐Zn was signif‐icantly affected by the polymer support, and the rate of phenol conversion was around 50% for polystyrene‐supported 3‐MOBdMBn. The experimental results indicated that the reaction rate was affected by the polymer support, and the rate of phenol conversion was 1.64 μmol/(L·s) in the presence of polystyrene‐supported 3‐MOBdMBn.

Relative Chronology in High-Grade Crystalline Terrain of the Eastern Ghats, India: New Insights

The two major lithology or gneiss components in the polycyclic granulite terrain of the Eastern Ghats, India, are the supracrustal rocks, commonly described as khondalites, and the charnockite-gneiss. Northern Eastern Ghats belt, north of the Godavari rift has been defined as the Eastern Ghats Province, while that to the south has been defined as the Ongole domain;and although, these distinct crustal domains also record different ages of granulite metamorphism, both of these domains are dominated by the two lithologies. Many of the workers considered the khondalites as the oldest component with unknown basement and the charnockite- protoliths as intrusive into the khondalites. However, published geochronological data do not corroborate the aforesaid relations. Onset of khondalite sedimentation in the Proterozoic Eastern Ghats Province, constrained by detrital zircon data, as around 1.3 Ga and the charnockite-protolith emplacement between 1.9 and 2.9 Ga, argue against intrusion of felsic magma (tonalite, now enderbite!) in to the khondalites. The field relations of the hornblende-mafic granulite with the two gneiss components together with Sm-Nd isotopic data of the hornblende-mafic granulites (both the xenoliths within charnockites and those interbanded with the khondalites) indicate that khondalite sediments were deposited on older mafic crustal rocks. Mafic basement and supracrustal rocks were subsequently deformed and metamorphosed together during collisional orogeny at high to ultra-high temperatures – partial melting of mafic rocks producing the charnockitic melt;and partial melting of pelitic sediments producing the peraluminous granitoids. This is compatible with all the geochronological data as well as the petrogenetic model of partial melting for the charnockitic rocks in the Eastern Ghats Belt. The Ongole domain, south of the Godavari rift, though, is distinct in terms of the age of first/ earliest UHT metamorphism, but here too the charnockite-protoliths
