From the evolution of the mankind, Turmeric has been used in conventional medication. India is in lead for producing, marketing and exporting the Turmeric and its value added products. Curcuma longa (Turmeric) is an Indian rhizomatous medicinal herb from the Zingiberaceae family that is common and widely available across the globe. The components of Turmeric are curcumin, demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin and these are collectively known as curcuminoids. Curcumin, the active ingredient of Turmeric is generally investigated by the scientific community for its wide range of antioxidant activity, anti-Inflammatory properties and anti-cancer activity, anti-metabolic syndrome activities, neuroprotective activity, antimicrobial effects, anti-arthritis effects, anti-viral effects, anti-asthma and anti-diabetic effects, anti-obesity, cardio and liver toxicity protection activity, anti-depression and anxiety activities. Turmeric has been widely used as a typical household treatment for cough, sore throat, respiratory ailments and could be an effective immunity booster against SARS-CoV-2 therapy during the ongoing pandemic situation. Safety evaluation studies indicate that both turmeric and curcumin are well tolerated at a very high dose without any toxic effects. Thus, turmeric and its constituents have the potential for the development of modern medicine for the treatment of various diseases. So in this review, we describe the various metabolic roles of curcumin and activities for the benefit of human health.

Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common female cancer in India and accounting for almost 1 in 4 cancer cases in women worldwide. According to GLOBOCAN 2018: breast cancer incidence is increased to 162,468 in 2018 compared to 144,937 in 2012. Biosimilar drugs allow expanding access to the therapies in the form of cost savings and leading to better overall health outcomes. Our study evaluates the efficacy and safety of Trastuzumab biosimilars and assesses overall survival in the study population. Materials & Methods: This prospective study was conducted in Healthcare Global Enterprises Ltd., Bengaluru, India, and all female patients diagnosed with Her2 positive, metastatic (mBC) and Locally advanced breast cancer (LABC), between March 2013 and November 2014, with at least 4 years of post-treatment follow up. Results: A total of 65 patients diagnosed with Her2 positive breast cancer and satisfied the selection criteria were included for the study. Partial Response (PR) was observed in 42 (64.6%) patients, Stable Disease (SD) in 11 (16.9%) patients and Progressive Disease (PD) in 12 (18.5%) patients. The overall response rates were 46.1% PR, 30% SD, 23.8% PD in metastatic population and 76% PR, 7.2% SD, 15% PD observed in locally advanced disease. The mean overall survival of the study population was 20.75 ± 15.20 months

梳理工艺参数对纤维取向与纱条质量的影响

通过对安达曼海深水盆地2D、3D地震反射数据以及测井数据等资料的分析，识别与天然气水合物聚集有关的地球物理标志并估算其饱和度。地震数据分析揭示了该地区存在似海底反射（BSR），并展现了与气体水合物聚集有关的所有典型特征。研究区B的某些地震剖面上还发现了双BSR，表明该地区的压力．温度（P-T）条件在过去发生过巨大变化，这一温压条件变化可以通过该区域水合物稳定带厚度（200～650m）的变化体现。研究区B位于AlcockRise西部的积水填充区，其3D地震数据体经过叠前深度偏移处理。根据深度偏移数据体建立的速度模型可观察到BSR上下的速度（1950～1650m／s）存在反转。BSR之下的低速区（1450m／s）和高振幅表明了水合物层之下存在水合物分解形成的气体或游离气。利用AVO技术对研究区B的BSR进行分析，结果表明反射振幅随偏移距增大而增大，这一趋势与水合物聚集有关的BSR分析结果类似。研究区B的一口已钻油气勘探井的测井数据表明水合物是存在的，与此处根据地震数据的预测结果吻合，从而也证实这一技术在水合物检测中的有效性。根据钻探井的电阻率曲线和声波时差曲线得到的水合物层底界与叠前深度偏移地震剖面所解释的水合物底界是一致的。电阻率和声波时差曲线显示的水合物层深度区间为1865～1895m，厚度为30m，估算的水合物饱和度近30％。研究区B水合物所包含的气体总资源量估计为1．8×10^10m^3，与一个常规的大型天然气田的储量相当。

Changing picture of renal cortical necrosis in acute kidney injury in developing country

Renal cortical necrosis(RCN) is characterized by patchy or diffuse ischemic destruction of all the elements of renal cortex resulting from significantly diminished renal arterial perfusion due to vascular spasm and microvascular injury. In addition, direct endothelial injury particularly in setting of sepsis, eclampsia, haemolytic uremic syndrome(HUS) and snake bite may lead to endovascular thrombosis with subsequent renal ischemia. Progression to end stage renal disease is a rule in diffuse cortical necrosis. It is a rare cause of acute kidney injury(AKI) in developed countries with frequency of 1.9%-2% of all patients with AKI. In contrast, RCN incidence is higher in developing countries ranging between 6%-7% of all causes of AKI. Obstetric complications(septic abortion, puerperal sepsis, abruptio placentae, postpartum haemorrhage and eclampsia) are the main(60%-70%) causes of RCN in developing countries. The remaining 30%-40% cases of RCN are caused by non-obstetrical causes, mostly due to sepsis and HUS. The incidence of RCN ranges from 10% to 30% of all cases of obstetric AKI compared with only 5% in non-gravid patients. In the developed countries, RCN accounts for 2% of all cases of AKI in adults and more than 20% of AKI during the third trimester of pregnancy. The reported incidence of RCN in obstetrical AKI varies between 18%-42.8% in different Indian studies. However, the overall incidence of RCN in pregnancy related AKI has decreased from 20%-30% to 5% in the past two decades in India. Currently RCN accounts for 3% of all causes of AKI. The incidence of RCN in obstetrical AKI was 1.44% in our recent study. HUS is most common cause of RCN in non-obstetrical group, while puerperal sepsis is leading cause of RCN in obstetric group. Because of the catastrophic sequelae of RCN, its prevention and aggressive management should always be important for the better renal outcome and prognosis of the patients.

Obstructive sleep apnea(OSA) is associated with metabolic, cardiovascular and neuropsychological disorders, with substantial morbidity and economic costs. OSA has been estimated to affect 4%-11% of the population, depending on age. Obesity is a significant risk factor for OSA. Non alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) has emerged as an integral component of the metabolic syndrome, with insulin resistance as the central pathogenic feature. Estimates based on imaging and autopsy studies suggest that about 20%-30% of adults in the United States and other Western countries have NAFLD. Evidence now suggests that NAFLD is independently correlated to insulin resistance regardless of adiposity. Some authors have suggested that OSA may be another contributor to NAFLD development. In complex diseases, several or many different genes interact with environmental factors in determining disease presence or its phenotype. Individual genes only have a small effect on disease risk and can therefore be very difficult to identify. The genetic and hormonal determinants of OSA and NAFLD have received little attention. A wide variety of intermediate phenotypes and genes are involved in OSA and NAFLD which makes this syndrome genetically complex. Various adipokines, the most important of whichare leptin, adiponectin, tumor necrosis factor-alpha, resistin and interleukin-6, have a key role in NAFLD and OSA. Some studies have suggested that oxidative stress may also contribute to the development of NAFLD and OSA. Lifestyle intervention, insulin sensitizer drugs and bariatric surgery aim to improve metabolic syndrome, OSA and NAFLD but need further investigation.

目的:探讨腹腔镜肝切除术的临床可行性与临床效果。方法:回顾性分析2013年1月至2014年1月荆州市中心医院收治的行腹腔镜肝切除术63例患者的临床资料。结果:60例患者成功施行完全腹腔镜肝切除术,3例患者改为手辅助腹腔镜肝切除术。手术方式为腹腔镜肝左外叶切除34例,左半肝切除2例,肝右后叶切除3例,肝脏Ⅵ段切除5例,病灶局部不规则性切除19例。手术时间为（184.71±95.07）min,患者术中出血量为（264.47±54.80）ml,术后住院时间为5;2d。术后并发症发生率为7.94%,无围手术期死亡病例。结论:普通医院开展腹腔镜肝叶切除术是可行的,其治疗效果安全有效。

AIM:To evaluate the incidence of late biliary complications in non-resectable alveolar echinococcosis(AE)under long-term chemotherapy with ***:Retrospective analysis of AE patients with biliary complications occurring more than three years after the diagnosis of *** compared characteristics of patients with and without biliary complications,analyzed potential risk factor for biliary complications and performed survival ***:Ninety four of 148 patients with AE in Zurich had non-resectable AE requiring long-term benzimidazole chemotherapy,of which 26(28%)patients developed late biliary *** patients had a median age of 55.5(35.5-65)years at diagnosis of AE and developed biliary complications after 15(8.25-19)years of *** most common biliary complications during long-term chemotherapy were late-onset cholangitis(n=14),sclerosing cholangitis-like lesions(n=8),hepatolithiasis(n=5),affection of the common bile duct(n=7)and secondary biliary cirrhosis(n=7).Thirteen of the 26 patients had undergone surgery(including 12 resections)before *** surgery was a risk factor for late biliary complications in linear regression analysis(P=0.012).CONCLUSION:Late biliary complications can be observed in nearly one third of patients with non-resectable AE,with previous surgery being a potential risk *** the occurrence of late biliary complications,the median survival is only 3 years,suggesting that late biliary complications indicate a poor prognostic outcome.

烧结矿是现代高炉生产的主要含铁原料。合理控制入炉烧结矿的理化性能与冶金性能对高炉生产和稳定操作是很必要的。铁矿粉是烧结矿的主要原料,其化学成分和烧结料层内的热量条件在烧结过程中起着重要的作用。化学成分等参数也决定着烧结矿矿相结构和质量。由于含氧化铝原料的低反应性及其液相的高粘性,因此在人们的预料中高铝矿石对烧结矿结构组成的影响并不好。烧结混合料中的氧化铝在同化过程中需要消耗大量热量,延迟烧结过程。在确保高炉渣的流动性方面,氧化铝也需要消耗较大热量。不论是烧结还是高炉的生产实绩均表明,氧化铝是有害的。一般而言,高含铁量与低脉石的印度矿与其他矿石的不同特点就是氧化铝含量高。由于高品味铁矿石的消耗殆尽,使用可利用的烧结原料成为生产必需。因此,必须要掌握氧化铝的作用及其对烧结矿质量和生产过程的影响。实验室完成了不同氧化铝含量水平(2.00%～5.46%)的实验,可从中了解氧化铝在烧结矿矿物学、生产率、物理性能和冶金性能方面的影响。随着烧结矿中氧化铝含量的增加,残存赤铁矿、复合铁酸钙(SFCA)和孔隙率增加,而磁铁矿和硅酸盐比例下降。烧结生产率和烧结矿转鼓强度(TI)随着氧化铝含量上升而下降,反映烧结矿冶金性能的诸如低温还原粉化率(RDI)和还原率(RI)提高。
