Photoacoustic microscopy(PAM)is an emerging imaging technology that can non-invasively visualize ocular structures in animal *** report describes an integrated multimodality imaging system that combines PAM,optical coherence tomography(OCt),and fluorescence microscopy(FM)to evaluate angiogenesis in larger animal ***-resolution in vivo imaging was performed in live rabbit eyes with vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)-induced retinal neovascularization(RNV).the results demonstrate that our multimodality imaging system can noninvasively visualize RNV in both albino and pigmented rabbits to determine retinal pathology using PAM and OCt and verify the leakage of neovascularization using FM and fluorescein *** work presents high-resolution visualization of angiogenesis in rabbits using a multimodality PAM,OCt,and FM system and may represent a major step toward the clinical translation of the technology.

Characterization of disease models of neurodegenerative disorders requires a systematic and comprehensive phenotyping in a highly standardized manner. therefore, automated high-resolution behavior test systems such as the homecage based LabMaster system are of particular interest. We demonstrate the power of the automated LabMaster system by discovering previously unrecognized features of a recently characterized atxn3 mutant mouse model. this model provided neurological symptoms including gait ataxia, tremor, weight loss and premature death at the age of 12 months usually detectable just 2 weeks before the mice died. Moreover, using the LabMaster system we were able to detect hypoactivity in presymptomatic mutant mice in the dark as well as light phase. Additionally, we analyzed inflammation, immunological and hematological parameters, which indicated a reduced immune defense in phenotypic mice. Here we demonstrate that a detailed characterization even of organ systems that are usually not affected in SCA3 is important for further studies of pathogenesis and required for the preclinical therapeutic studies.

Emergency cerclage with advanced cervical dilatation and bulging of fetal membranes is still challenging to obstetricians.?Objective:?to identify the live birth rate after physical examination indicated rescue cerclage. Methods:?A retrospective cohort study of 36 pregnant women, who underwent rescue cerclage at Hung Vuong hospital from January 2015 to January 2019. Selection criteria: cervical dilation 10 to 40 mm, at 20 to 30 gestational weeks. Exclusion criteria: multiple pregnancy, birth defects, pregnancy termination due to maternal or fetal indications. Results: Delivery of live infant rate was 72.22%;mean pregnancy prolongation was 42.8 ±?34.15 days. Early live birth rate was 77.78%. the percentage of delivery after 34 and 37 weeks was 44.45% and 27.78%, respectively. Live birth weight was 400 to 3600?g, with mean being 1878.06 ±?1049.04?g. No procedure-related complication was observed. Conclusions:?Rescue cerclage may be an effective and safe method in prolonging pregnancy and improving neonatal outcome in women with cervical dilation 10 to 40 mm. It should be considered as a viable option for women with a dilated cervix in 20 to 30 gestational weeks. Future controlled studies are needed.

Stem cells are commonly classified based on the developmental stage from which they are isolated, although this has been a source of debate amongst stem cell scientists. A common approach classifies stem cells into three different groupings: Embryonic Stem Cells (ESCs), Umbilical Cord Stem Cells (UCBSCs) and Adult Stem Cells (ASCs), which include stem cells from bone marrow (BM), fat tissue (Ft), engineered induced pluripotent (IP) and peripheral blood (PB). By definition stem cells are progenitor cells capable of self-renewal and differentiation hypothetically “ab infinitum” into more specialized cells and tissue. the main intent of this study was to determine and characterize the different sub-groups of stem cells present within the human PB-SCs that may represent a valid opportunity in the field of clinical regenerative medicine. Stem cells in the isolated mononucleated cells were characterized using a multidisciplinary approach that was based on morphology, the expression of stem cell markers by flowcytometry and fluorescence analysis, Rt-PCR and the capacity to self-renew or proliferate and differentiate into specialized cells. this approach was used to identify the expression of hematopoietic, mesenchymal, embryonic and neural stem cell markers. Both isolated adherent and suspension mononucleated cells were able to maintain their stem cell properties during in-vitro culture by holding their capacity for proliferation and differentiation into osteoblast cells, respectively, when exposed to the appropriate induction medium.

Filters in residential and office air conditioning(A/C)systems have been used as sampling devices for monitoring different ***,cabin air filters(CAFs)in the A/C system of passenger cars have not been utilised for this *** this study,we collected22 used CAFs from passenger cars in Hanoi,Vietnam to analyse for 8 polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs)and 10 organophosphate esters(OPEs).All the analytes were detected in more than 50%of samples with the exception of BDE153 and *** average concentrations of∑10OPEs and∑8 BDEs in the captured dust were 2600 and 40 ng/g,respectively with tris(1-chloro-2-propyl)phosphate(tCIPP)and BDE209 as the dominant congener in OPE and BDE groups,*** are a potential tool to qualitatively assess the levels of semi-volatile chemicals in suspended dust in cars as a screening step for exposure assessment of those chemicals.

this paper proposes a demonstration of the infrastructure concept of electric vehicles-friendly highways. EVs （electric vehicles） are gaining momentum as a bright prospect to replace conventional fuel-dependent ICE （internal combustion engine） as demand of EVs increase year by year in every country. However, due to battery capacity limitation and charging stations availability, EVs are mainly used in urban areas for short-range commuters rather than long-range journeys. this has resulted in EV usage concentrated in town and business areas. It is clear that EV usage for long distance driving is still in minimal priority due to inadequate battery performances and charging infrastructures insufficiency. the proposed concept is to solve range anxiety issues by wirelessly charging in-motion vehicles, particularly at highways namely DCH （dynamic charging highway）.

生成满足大气边界层风场特性的入口湍流是开展结构风效应大涡模拟的关键问题之一。该文的主要目的是验证并探讨两类主要的大气边界层大涡模拟入口湍流生成方法的合理性与可行性。采用CDRFG(Consistent Discretizing Random Flow Generation)方法和被动模拟法生成大气边界层风场,从统计特性、流场结构和计算效率等方面进行对比分析,比较不同网格系统下的数值模拟结果,提出结构风效应大涡模拟的网格划分策略。结果表明:相比于CDRFG方法,被动模拟法生成的流场结构更加合理,但无法预先考虑脉动风场的空间相关性,且需要较高的计算成本和先验的流场信息。计算域的网格分辨率对于统计特性和流场结构的模拟精度具有重要影响,而目标区域的网格分辨率应依据控制工程结构风致响应的主要频带范围确定。
